Run as fast as you can from this guy! We hired him to complete a major remodel and addition on our home. He was to put on a new living room off the front of the house, and remodel the current living room into a master bedroom, bath and closet. He also was supposed to convert the garage into a library/school room and expand the laundry room. This was a huge job. He was to start in June 2017, but after taking the first deposit, he called in sick and had every excuse for a month. Finally, he had a guy come out and they excavated and poured a concrete slab for the living room subfloor. He said he needed more money to get all the supplies. We stupidly gave him more. He then waited nearly a month and a couple guys come out to put in a sub floor in the garage. That took about week. He had about 5 or 6 days total work in 3 months. Then he came out and started work on a bookshelf/cabinet thing for the library and finally after the 4th month, just began to frame the master bath and closet. He hired a plumber and HVAC guy to plumb the bathroom and begin on the addition to place HVAC in the subfloor there. We were finally seeing movement and we were happy. He asked for a huge sum of money and said we would not have to pay again until final walk through, so we again, stupidly paid him more. He then hired a drunk guy to start framing for the second story walls for the living room. The man couldn't make a right angle with anything. You should have seen what this guy did. He nailed the 2x4's right to the shingles. That was supposed to be weight bearing. The front wall was crooked and the left side was NINE inches taller than the right. We found empty Jim Beam bottles in the mountain of garbage they left in the front yard when WE cleaned it and took everything to the dump. He ended up tearing it all down and rebuilding it in November. It was nearly identical to the first shoddy job. We got a stop work order from the inspector who said that would never pass code. That's when he stopped pretty much everything. We were getting angry after having 4 major floods in our basement after he punched holes in our foundation and never fixed it. He hung a huge ugly blue tarp over the addition, which was just a subfloor that was not supposed to be exposed for that long and a few 2x4's on the roof. He left it like that for months. He ordered trusses that were the wrong size. They are still sitting in the grass on our front yard. He never finished the cabinet. It's measurements are all wrong and it was supposed to have nice sliding barn doors. The brackets are crooked, the bottom was cut by hand and is crooked, the paint job was absolutely horrendous, one side panel of one of the doors is crooked and they don't slide properly. After the fourth major flood in January and only about 25% of the job complete, our house was a total shambles and very difficult to live in with 5 kids, he decided he wasn't going to come back, but he did come back to hang a door. But, he didn't know how so he had to google it. My father in law rehung it after he left so we could close and latch it. He never came back except to meet with us so we could work something out. He told he spent $58K out of the $69 we gave him. Such bologna! He only spent about $20K. He kept the rest. He broke 4 laws - Theft by Deception, Basic Theft, Misappropriation of Funds and Negligence. He breached his contract in many different aspects. He was not charged because the detectives say it's "civil"! This man is extremely dishonest and told us lie after lie after lie. When we originally researched this guy before hiring him, nothing came up. So, now after all this, I did a lot more research on his history and although he has not been charged with a crime here in KY, he is on his 8th lawsuit in 6 years. Three are current. He's lost every one so far. But, he keeps everything in his wife's name so he doesn't have to pay. He changes the name of his company and starts all over and repeats the same crimes. So far, he's been All in One Handyman, All in One Construction, All in One Custom Builders. He even changed the spelling of his name and that's why nothing came up when we were searching before we hired him. Our story is not unique. We found out he has done this sort of the thing to several others. One woman is a 68 frail woman and he took her full retirement and COMPLETELY destroyed her home. He made off with 40K from her. She had to get a second mortgage and 2 more huge loans just to fix what he left her with before she could get back to square one. Her financial state is totally obliterated. He walked away. She sued him and won. We are waiting on the hearing. I'll be sitting in the courtroom when they read that!
