Our objective was to keep as much of the interior features (cabinets, doors, paneling, wood floors, etc) as possible while achieving a fresh new feel & appearance; Mr. Yaun accomplished that objective. The work included: - Fireplace Mantel: design, construction and installation of a completely new mantle which gave the fireplace a dramatically improved appearance. - Crown Molding: selection, installation and painting of elegant, wide crown molding for the living room and den. - Paneling: cleaning, surface prepping, sealing & painting of existing dark paneling in the den providing a brighter, roomier, more comfortable & elegant feel to the area. - Hardwood Floors - removal of carpet & pad from wood floors throughout the home, including staples & nail strips; cleaning the wood floors and repairing damage caused by the staples and nails. Also; selection, sizing, staining & installation of Oak shoe molding on all hardwood floors. - Front Entrance Door: cleaning, stripping, sealing & painting existing wooden double doors with addition of brass hardware and kick panels inside and out; providing an attractive main entrance. - Master Bath: Removal of box lighting and cabinets; installation of new light fixtures, pedestal sink and shelving. Preparation, sealing & painting of existing walls. - Kitchen: Preparation, sealing and painting of existing dark wooden cabinets to a glossy white; including installation of brass hardware, to brighten and give a fresh, new appearance to a previously drab kitchen. - Walk-in Pantry: Conversion of a large existing storage room, off the kitchen, into a walk-in pantry; including sheet rock installation & painting, lighting installation, shelving & flooring.
