He's a reliable, honest, fair, reasonably-priced, easy to talk to, courteous, punctual, hard-working professional AND fabulous at spackling & painting. Mike recently spackled & painted an "art room" in my house. This entailed taking all the art work off the walls, drawing a schematic that noted how & where the work was hung, and then rehanging all the work once the final coat of paint had dried. He did not take any shortcuts: the ceiling was spackled & sanded three times and then the entire room was primed and painted with two coats of black paint (strikingly beautiful!). I found All Island Painters on here and I contacted them for "just an estimate". The person that arrived was named Mike and he introduced himself as the owner and promised to perform the work himself. He seemed honest and sincere. He gave me a fair price and he arrived exactly when he said he would to start the small project. I was impressed with the quality of his work and his attention to detail. I am used to having a punch-list when any contractor does work for me but that was not necessary with Mike as the job came out better than I had hoped. All Island Painters did an AMAZING job painting my bathroom for a very reasonable price!! My wall was damaged from wallpaper and when I tried to remove it myself, I made it worse. I found All Island Painters on Angie's List and Mike called us back the same day to set up an appointment for a free estimate. On the day of the job, Mike arrived on time and ready to work. Mike meticulously removed the damage and sanded and spackled the walls prior to painting. He was professional and immaculate. When the damaged wall repair was complete, it was as smooth as if a new wall was built!! Additionally, Mike is a perfectionist and he was willing to stay as long as needed to complete the job.
