They cut tree nicely and grinded stump but they only cleaned up leaves and branches. They left large stump debris on my grass and wanted to get paid a few hundred dollars more if I wanted to remove grinding chips!! They should be honest to tell me their definition of clean up!! I told them to put some grinding debris in trash bags and left those on a curb as I hoped the the sanitation would pick them up but no success so I had to take those bags back onto my yard coupled with left over grinding debris sitting on my grass!!! A little over a week ago, a woodpecker began drilling a hole in my 74 year old Maple tree, right in the middle joint where several huge limbs met at the top of the main trunk. Every day it got larger and it became clear the tree couldn't wait any longer. So I checked Yelp and read so many 5 Star ratings for All Island Tree Service that I gave them a call. Erick came within an hour, assessed my tree and the next day, that venerable tree that shaded my chicken coop and kept it cool during the summer, and provided safety from hawks and allowed the wild birds to rest, was no more. Erick added me to his insurance for any possible damage to the neighbor's property. It wasn't necessary. His men protected all my bushes, fences and chicken coop, along with the neighbors' sheds and fences. They put everything back where it belonged and cleaned up everything. And it's a good thing that little bird let me know it was insect ridden. We had a huge tree in our backyard that we knew was going to be an issue for us if the wind blew the wrong way, so we quoted out removal through Yelp. Erick responded promptly to my request and was here within 48 hours (due to my availability). I had already received 3 quotes before meeting with Erick, and he was the lowest. I let him know that I did have one more quote the next day, and he told me to keep him in the loop and he would do his best to match. The next quote was lower, but I appreciated the time Erick took with me to walk me through the scope of work and my backyard, so I texted him to see if he would match the price. He said absolutely and got me on the schedule for within the week! I asked for a copy of insurance and got it sent to me with me added as additionally insured. Day of they came prompt, and were in and out in 2.5 hours!! My husband and I watched for the first hour, not because we worried, but because they guys are meticulous and calculated in how the work gets done, and it was a thrill to watch! The tree bordered over our neighbors fence so we did hold our breath a few times, but we didn't need to. They also helped prune another tree that was hanging over our power lines. They removed a 50 foot tree of heaven from a tight spot (including with cables running through the branches). They removed it and hauled it away in a matter of a few hours and left the yard tidy. I called at least six companies, and Erick was the only one that made a great first impression. He was courteous and the only one that offered to provide license and insurance without us asking. His quote was fair and, actually, toward the lower end of the six companies I obtained, which made him stand out immediately.
