The biggest complaint I have was the pricing and the way they tried to upsell their services. I think I paid way too much. Do not EVER use AMS Moving. I had used them twice in the past 6 years in Dallas and experienced a very professional move both times. The price was fair and reasonable. I had quite a bit to pack and move in June 2025, and moved into a three story townhome. Considering that, I felt $3500 was a fair price. Last week, after downsizing quite a bit, doing most of my own packing (much of my stuff had never been unpacked and was still in AMS boxes from last year., I called them again based on my experiences in previous moves Unfortunately I didn't read recent reviews. They offered a "complimentary" kitchen packing, which I accepted. (It's not complimentary!) The crew of three men and one gal showed up- gal in charge. One guy was great, the other two did t speak English and were like two of the three stooges. Laughing. Goofing around. Boss lady stayed in the truck and listened to something with headphones for hours. Then she decides to start packing the kitchen after 5 hours which ran the clock even further. Two Stooges Moe and Curly dropped my sofa, damaged the frame. They continued to mess around. Unloading was even worse.. I don't want to pay for someone to screw on lampshades. I need assistance to MOVE boxes and furniture. The guy who was hard working left between loading and unloading. In short: instead of the quoted price of $3500, I was charged $7500! I called customer service and they knocked $400 off labor because the fourth guy wasn't there to help unload. The movers broke a mahogany dining room chair, damaged my buffet, sofa (then tried to hide the damage) and a few other items. In 2020 I had a lovely experience with AMS. But they moved us in August 2025, quoted $1500, charged $4000 and took a long break which they charged me (all three movers). They made me pay the bill before they would put my items on the new place. After they left I found many broken items, they brought some of the wrong things (so I had to move them back) and left things I tagged for bringing. To be safe, I paid for the extra insurance ($299) that was supposed to make it easy "just in case they broke anything". After filling out the claim form and showing pictures of the broken items they offered me $350 after breaking thousands of dollars worth of furniture and overcharging. (That's only $51 more than the "insurance". Getting a lawyer involved. ‍ I wish I read these reviews before hiring them. I wish I could give zero stars. If you're reading the other 1-star reviews here about careless movers, broken belongings, and not enough trucks -- believe them, because I lived every one of those complaints in a single move. It started with the estimate. The estimator badly underestimated how much time and how many trucks our move would actually require. Instead of adjusting on the day of, we found out the hard way: not enough manpower, not enough truck capacity, and a move that should have taken one day stretched into two. We had to rearrange our entire schedule and sleep in an empty house (after having to purchase a blowup mattress, bedding, blankets and pillows because all our stuff was already loaded) waiting for the crew to come back the next day and load the garage all because their planning failed before the movers ever showed up. The packing day set the tone for everything that followed. Rather than actually packing our belongings with any care, the crew simply dumped items into wardrobe boxes and crammed in as much as they could fit. There was no organization, no protection for "fragil" items, no thought given to what was going where -- just shoving things into boxes to get through the day faster. To make it worse, none of the boxes were labeled. When we got to our new home and needed to direct boxes to their proper rooms, it was a complete cluster -- nobody, including the movers, had any idea what was in each box or where it belonged. We ended up doing the sorting ourselves after the fact, undoing hours of "work" the crew had supposedly already done. Then came the move itself. The crew was slow, and it was clear from the start that they simply didn't care about the job or our belongings. Items were carried carelessly, stacked wrong, and rushed at the end once they realized how far behind schedule they were. The result: multiple broken items that can't be replaced with an insurance check. Furniture, house and flooring was gouged, boxes marked "fragil" were tossed around like they weren't, and there was no urgency or apology when things went wrong. Between the underestimated logistics, the day-long delay, the careless packing, the unlabeled boxes, the slow and indifferent crews, and the broken items we're still dealing with, this was, without exaggeration, the worst moving experience I've ever had. If I could rewind and pick any other company, I would in a heartbeat. I was seduced by the price, but save yourself the stress, the broken belongings, and the wasted vacation days -- look elsewhere. DFW -- PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL WITH ALL MY SONS MOVING & STORAGE I was personally there today while my daughter attempted to move out of her one-bedroom apartment using All My Sons Moving & Storage, and I am absolutely appalled by what I witnessed. My daughter scheduled this move back in June and had a confirmed 8:00 AM appointment. My daughter, her boyfriend, and I were there and ready to go. 8:00 AM came and went. 9:00 AM. No movers. 10:00 AM. Still no movers. She called and was told the movers were still finishing another job and that they could not give her a timeframe. We waited. She called again around 1:00 PM. Same answer. At that point, she asked to speak with a manager because this was completely unacceptable. That's when we dealt with Aiden, a manager with All My Sons. Rather than taking responsibility for the company's failure to arrive anywhere close to the confirmed appointment time, Aiden told my daughter that she had supposedly confirmed a "hanger" schedule. I was THERE. She was THERE. She Never confirmed a "hanger" or whatever schedule! Really, in the Summer Texas heat. We'd never do that! It was a lie! He stated some misinformation had taken place. Ok sure Aiden! There was no reasonable explanation for why a customer with an 8:00 AM confirmed appointment should be sitting around waiting all day without even being given a realistic arrival time. The movers finally arrived at approximately 4:00 PM. Yes. 4:00 PM. Eight hours after the scheduled appointment. And as I am writing this at approximately 9:00 PM, THEY ARE STILL UNLOADING THE TRUCK. This is a ONE-BEDROOM APARTMENT. We watched the movers struggle through the move for hours. Boxes were dropped, the process was extremely slow, and the crew were severely inexperienced. Then came the bill. My daughter was charged approximately: $1,500+ for the move/labor $200 for materials $240 for gas/fuel-related charges $50 for "junk" removal that was NEVER requested or performed When she challenged the $50 junk charge, that charge was removed. So naturally I have to ask: WHY WAS SHE CHARGED FOR A SERVICE THAT WAS NEVER PROVIDED? And what about the other charges? This is a young family moving out of a ONE-BEDROOM APARTMENT, and they are being presented with an enormous bill after spending practically the entire day waiting for a company that was supposed to arrive at 8:00 AM. Mind you it's 9pm - almost 6-7 hours for a one bedroom apartment with NO appliances except a bed, couch, boxes etc! How does this happen and WHY? At some point, this stops looking like a simple scheduling mistake and starts looking like a customer being taken advantage of. I am not interested in hearing another "we're sorry for the inconvenience." I want accountability. I want the company to explain why my daughter was left waiting for approximately eight hours. I want an explanation for why a junk-removal charge appeared on her bill when NO junk removal occurred. And I want an explanation for why this move has taken the entire day and is STILL happening at 9:00 PM. My daughter will be formally filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles, and she will be documenting and disputing the charges she believes are incorrect. I am extremely disappointed with the service my family received. To begin with, it took the crew nearly an hour just to wrap a three-piece sectional couch. I understand the importance of protecting furniture, but an hour for a single couch seemed excessive, especially when the company charges by the hour. On top of that, the moving truck broke down. While I wasn't charged for the delay, it completely disrupted our moving schedule and caused a great deal of inconvenience. When the crew arrived at my home, they simply left the furniture in the garage instead of bringing it inside. Before leaving, both movers rubbed their fingers together, clearly implying they expected a tip. My parents are elderly and do not speak English fluently, but they still understood how disrespectful that gesture was. No customer especially elderly customers should be made to feel pressured to tip. To make matters worse, I was charged nearly $700 for approximately three hours of work to move only a sectional couch and a TV stand. I have contacted the company multiple times by email regarding what I believe is an excessive charge, but I have yet to receive a satisfactory response. Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience. DO NOT USE! We boxed everything up ourselves except the TV and our furniture for a cross town 23 mile move. Once everything was unloaded at our new house and they left, we opened our TV box to a cracked and broken LCD panel on the 65" living room TV. When reaching out to AMS for restitution, the CSR (Joe Casarez) offered to lower the settlement amount ($225 for a $500 TV) if I did not like it. My follow up questions were met my insulting my intelligence: "Let me speak even slower and clearer for you to understand". The biggest kicker was that the crew stopped for an hour lunch mid transit and charged me for that time. From a communication and management perspective this was a horrible experience from start to finish from this Carrollton, TX branch location. I was given a pickup time of 12 pm, Friday, May 8, 2026. After multiple calls and a virtual shouting match with management the crew showed at 5:30 pm. That's not the worst part.... They began loading, that was completed about 9pm and arrived at my destination location at 10pm (after the crew took dinner break). They began unloading when management called to say they could not complete the move until the following day. Again, I encountered a very arrogant, condescending manager that kept defending his position of no guaranteed pickup or delivery time period. However, I must say that Manual, the moving crew lead was incredible and most accommodating under a horrible management situation. Now, to make matters worse, the charge was more than double their moving estimate. I would never recommend this AMS branch to anyone. Heads need to roll and competent consumer centric people need to be hired. A terrible experience! Please do not make the same mistake I made, and give your hard-earned money to a company like this. Schedule a move for a SINGLE BEDROOM and a few boxes. There was a total of about 6 pieces of furniture and 5 boxes. I was quoted a rate of $179 an hour and about a two hour move. High rate but seemed reasonable. On the phone, I was made aware of a travel fee of an hour and that was it. It took two movers two hours to get the furniture and boxes into the truck to head to the drop off location. Mover employees were not bad, but they wrapped everything (mind you this was not communicated to me in terms of time cost nor in terms of product cost).... and it took way too long to wrap and load. Once we got to the drop off location (about a 10 minute drive from the pick up location) I was told to pay before unload. I was fine with that, what I was not comfortable with was the fee. Over $1,000 for a SINGLE BEDROOM AND A FEW BOXES. I told the gentleman driving the truck that it was insane and he got his manager on the phone because I was pissed. The manger got on the phone, and I explained that "I do not care what you say, I'll pay what is needed but I will blew you up everywhere. This is not true to the pricing I was quoted, the estimated full rate was just over $300, and I was shocked this information adds to over $1,000 to pay for A SINLGE BEDROOM.." by the end of the conversation I got a rate of $159 per hour, but overall the price didn't decrease by more than $60." I ultimately paid and told the movers to hurry up and get out of my house. The truck was unloaded in 30 minutes but I wasted 30minutes on the phone speaking to the manager. Overall a SINGLE BEDROOM (AND I MEAN ONE BEDROOM OF FURNITURE) WITH 5 BOXES COST OVER $800... for really no reason. Added UNDISCLOSED FEES INCLUDED A FUEL FEE and a PACKING FEE (which you may not ask for, BUT IT WAS STILL charged). I have moved many times, this is the worst, slowest, and most expensive moving company I have ever used -- across multiple states. A disaster times 1000... THIS COMPANY IS NOT TRANSPARENT AT ALL WITH PRICING. They do not disclose what is a part of the labor fee (originally $179), mislabel your deposit (as it is not included in the final bill), and refuse to take adequate responsibility for mislabeling of moving time. We requested a move and pack for a 2br, 2br apt. We only needed our kitchen and master bedroom closet packed as we moved the other items earlier in the week. We were given 3 movers, but unfortunately one of the movers spent 5 hours packing our kitchen and master bedroom. When we got to the house, the move came out to $2,000, $400 of that was packing material and we were charged $209/hr for 3 movers. We emailed corporate to tell them that 1. We only received the value for 2 movers because one mover took 5 hours to do something that really should've took only 2. 2. We were charged for and excessive amount of packing material. We moved two miles down the road, I didn't need every Tupperware lid wrapped in paper. When we said we were overcharged, their operations manager told us we should've prepacked our kitchen so it wouldn't have taken so long. That is utter insanity to me. Paid for Full Value Protection and still spent five months in arbitration to recover only part of the damage AMS caused. There is NO way these reviews are legitimate for a 4+ star rating. This company is beyond unacceptable. THIS IS 0 OUT OF 10. My belongings arrived with cigarette burn holes, black grease and dirt, metal corrosion, fabric rips, items broken and/or dented, and damage from excessive stacking pressure. Furniture was only one year old and in excellent condition at pickup from a storage unit (previously wrapped by another professional moving company that initially moved me out into the apartment and into the unit). I spent five months dealing with AMS's legal department and arbitration after they wasted an enormous amount of my time. Timeline for context: Pickup: late July 2025 Delivery: early August 2025 Claims process started immediately the first business day after delivery Arbitration began September 2025 Final decision: January 2026 AMS dragged their feet at every step, submitting responses on the very last day of each 30-day deadline--every single time. I paid for Full Value Protection (FVP) for an interstate move that cost me $4500. AMS started with a $1,500 offer. After months of arbitration, the final arbitration award was just under $3,800. This amount is still approximately $1,500 less than the actual cost to fully repair, replace, and clean my belongings. Even worse, there were three instances where arbitration ruled AMS didn't have to pay at all (after I declined their lower priced offers for those items), despite those items having equal or worse damage than items that were awarded. This clearly shows the arbitration process is geared toward protecting the company, not the customer. Although this was not the outcome I wanted, it's telling that AMS's final offer during arbitration was $3,500, yet the arbitrator ultimately awarded nearly $3,800--only after extensive documentation and persistence on my end. They were moving in some new Residents to our Apartment Community in Flower Mound Tx and broke one of our doors. When directly asked if they broke it they said "NO". We have it on video-we called the phone number provided to us by our Resident and when answered by Paul..he asked what it was about and then said he would forward me to the "Claims" department. Well....I have been on hold now for over 20 minutes and have had no luck getting a hold of anyone. Poor business, we will NOT be referring them to anyone. The video clearly shows the young man trying to shove a large load through the door(anyone can see that it was too wide to fit throug) but the young man kept ramming it into the doorway before he gave up and tried another tactic. I was told my movers were coming to my house to start moving between 8-10am. I was there waiting patiently and I had to call myself at 11am to find out they were getting to my place at 12pm! The dispatch team didn't even care about timing whatsoever. If you hire these folks they'll give you an attitude of "we'll get to you when we'll get to you". The movers they hired to do the job had to go to Carrolton to pick up some material the day of and couldn't even let me know they were going to be behind schedule. The movers were ok, but they started to tell me the move was going to bleed into the next day in which I was like WTF. They originally booked 2 movers after I told them everything I had in the house and then all of a sudden on the day before they said they were going to need to add another guy and they'll "work" with me on price. I was originally quoted $740 for the job and ended the day with spending $1,700 and I had to do a lot of the work myself! What's the point of spending money on movers if I had to do a 3rd of the leg work on this. There are plenty of other movers in the market. Don't hire these guys. I finally reached the manager at about 1:00 who tried to raise the price and upgrade me to more movers which I did not need. After this he said they would be here by 2:00. No show again no call. I kept calling and he kept telling me they were on their way. I got a call at 6:00 saying they were at the wrong address and went to a different city about 45 minutes away with same address. Hired them back in March, and loved their service. Rehired them again, and they promised me all these discounts to keep me under budget - they promised me $580. I locked it in, everything went smoothly; the crew was great, even found out I was in a time crunch and worked harder. But it went south from there: before unloading everything, they charged me $920 and said they wouldn't unload anything until I paid. I called the manager named Jentezen, and he basically responded with "bummer, pay us" and didn't care about the phone call promising the discounts prior to the load up. I felt like I was cheated, and was forced to pay. The rest of the crew could tell I felt hustled, and tried to work faster in order to get me some savings (they couldn't). A former employee recommend this company, and I HAD THE MOVE FROM HELL!!! I admit that we were not totally packed( I had requested packing help), three guys arrived, one being on the truck or phone most of the time, as he could not handle the odor from my 85 year old husband's leaky underpants on the couch and a chair( urine smell), and they even refused to use my shrink wrap, let alone boxes( charged me $288 for materials. Next day, after much pleading, another crew showed up, the younger new gentleman, I believe his name was Scott, was incredible, Wilson, ok, but on the phone with a lady most of the time! After a few hours( and they charged me from the beginning), Michelle arrived, and she was quick and good as well. They got most everything else moved( leaving a few viral things, which I discovered the next day), but they were great! They certainly would have moved everything in one day, and were surprised how they saw things stacked and where, and moved the items from the first group of movers. I then receive a bill for $4,016, and I cried, we negotiated to $3,000 ,I was told that if i wanted to make it in two payments, it would cost me an extra $450. I had a move scheduled for Sunday 4/26. I am deciding to cancel due to how hard it is to speak with someone. First time I called to schedule, I got transferred 5 times, as if no one was interested in helping. I should have stopped right there when it comes to working with this company. Now that I am wanting to cancel, I have called 3 times now and they connect you with your "local office," and they never come to the phone. Each time I have spent on hold for 15 minutes each time. The crew that I had was amazing, however, they did say they treated me well because I was a nice person and because I packed everything so well. I did an in-state move, around 26 miles. Nothing was damaged, they took very good care of my items. The price was a little higher than expected and I am due a credit but I doubt that I'll see it. For me, this company was too pricey. Worst moving company EVER! They scratch and break your furniture and don't care! They ask for a tip before they even start the job!

A job they estimated would take 4 hours with CREW turned into 8 with 2 MEN! I was flabbergasted when I saw the costs was $1973! I see they are charging $1512 for labor alone. $306 charge for fuel! Say what!? Yall drove 30 miles round trip! What tf was $306? A box broke. He said he was getting another box to put the stuff in. And he would put my boxed appliances in another box to make it easier to carry. They charged $20 PER BOX! I had plenty of my own boxes that could have been used. I had my own shrink wrap. Yet they charged me $60 for that. He said he'd be done by 5:15. He says he'll need an additional 45 minutes. I asked what was the cost. He calls Paul and Paul tells him an additional $250. Tf!? How is it an additional $250 for 45 minutes when 1 hour is $189!? Make it make sense! I will NEVER EVER use this company again. I don't want to use All My Sons. His uncles, cousins, brothers! Nobody! I'm still pissed. I've had a headache since Saturday! They charged me $2113.13. Every single person I've told this to has said that's outrageous, insane, preposterous! If All My Sons had sent more than two workers, this would have never happened. read more

I want to start by saying that the movers themselves are great, but the company itself is full of manipulative liars who lure you in with lower costs. We were quoted approximately ~$500 with a $100 deposit, $159 per labor hour and 18% of fuel costs. Once they loaded us up and moved us across the metroplex, they informed us that the total price was $891. We were not once informed of this beforehand until we were in our new residence with our items still in the truck. We were informed that this happens often, and these yelp reviews suggest the same. This company is full of greedy corporate employees who preach "transparency" but continue to lie. The added fees that doubled are cost are never mentioned during the quote or conversation with the OFFICE themselves and are not listed on their website either. read more

Awful! Half our things are missing! Scratched my new floor in my brand new home! Won't be using them ever again! These guys are crooks!! Absolute crooks! Made us sign the papers and pay before unloading. Said it was company POLICY! I should have yelped searched and seen all these reviews! So dumb! NEVER EVER using them again! Freaking ridiculous. The guys kept coming back in at the end and I could tell they wanted a tip! HECK NO!!!!!!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Said they would be there at 830 am and got there around noon-1 I believe. Super late. DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS! They ripped me off. Quoted the move (a very small 3 hour job. Hired them to move things from a garage to an apartment. Quote was around $400. When we got to the apartment before they got my things from the truck they wanted me to pay the balance. It was over $900!! They would not give me my things until I paid them. I have to provide an update because Andy, from the Resolution Department, reached out to me concerning my review and asked if I wanted to discuss it with him. This took me by surprise as I didn't expect anyone to follow up, let alone actually listen to my concerns; so, I took him up on his offer. Long story short, he (the company) made things right, and I can't express how much I appreciate them for that! I received a call for a quote and was asked, "What is the reason for your call? Pretty rudely I thought but okay. After getting a quote (over $300 for 1 hour, driving only 2 miles). I began to say, "That's a little more than I expected..." and before I finished talking, he hung up. In my opinion, worst in customer service.
