After I used their services I would think there are better moving companies. Cost more money, when the movers came to unload. I was told I needed to pay or they wouldn't unload. The foreman handed me his phone and I talked to the manager on the phone as he gave me a final price, I had to pay him or I wasn't getting me stuff, it didn't matter how much money it costed I had to pay or lose my stuff. Do not use these people!!! They damaged some of my furniture. I filed a claim, they tried to say I did not and it was past their timeline for filling a claim. I sent them and the better business proof of my claim. Once the BBB reached out to them they sent me an email stating a claim agent had been assigned, to get the BBB off their back (in my opinion) they have ghosted me again. DON'T USE!!!! Unless you want partial work done. Having to hired more movers to get the job done one you get to you destination, $20,000 in damage to your property, for starters. DO NOT BUY ADDITIONAL INSURANCE!!! They don't honor it. They were moving very expensive very meaningful items to me, so I increased the coverage amount to be a little closer to the value, for ~$700. LIARS AND SCAMMERS! DO NOT HIRE THEM IF YOU VALUE YOUR POSSESSIONS AND TIME!!! I am EXTREMELY disappointed with the quality of their movers, delivery and customer service. They damaged BOTH houses and multiple pieces of my furniture. When I talked to the sales guy on the phone, he told me they would send 2 professional movers who could handle that size job, would know exactly what to do and how to move everything quickly and safely. I was told they would lay down carpet protection and cover the doorways to prevent damage to the house and furniture. In the online tour quote, I made sure to note that some of our items were REALLY heavy and would need some big, strong guys to move. It seemed like a good sales pitch, so I scheduled them. This would turn out to be a huge mistake. I hurt my back and needed reliable and professional help to take good care of my furniture, much of which came from my grandma when she died. They sent me 2 young guys who showed up 30 minutes earlier than the window we were told to expect them, and then immediately wasted time on the clock at $150 an hour troubleshooting their iPad in order to have me sign paperwork and upsell me moving insurance, all of which could have easily been done ahead of time, not on my dollar. Since I already felt nervous, I decided to purchase the extra $175 AMS Coverage. Mistake #2 was not going with 3rd party insurance instead of their scam coverage. The movers did not put down protective covers for the flooring and instead tracked ice melt all over the house which melted into my rugs and carpet. Instead of using protective covers for the doorways, as promised, they wrapped the furniture in blankets and simply forced it through if it didn't fit properly. They pushed some of my furniture so hard that they tore the stop strip off of a bedroom door frame which of course they chose not to mention. Ridiculously unprofessional. One mover also did not speak fluent English so the other had to constantly stop what he was doing to attempt to translate any instructions and they struggled moving large objects as a team. One moved a large entertainment center with glass shelves without securing or protecting them so the shelves all fell when it was tipped. Somehow they remained unbroken for me to discover as I unpacked it but they still managed to dent and scratch it up. I had to get my own box and materials to package up my 65-inch OLED tv since, at this point, I was not comfortable letting them move something so expensive and for which they did not seem at all prepared for. Instead of covering and carrying my round tabletop together as a team, one mover rolled it on the unprotected edge all the way through the new house with rough tile floors. The level of their carelessness and negligence almost felt intentional. Finally, to top it all, the movers they sent were not strong enough to move my heavy adjustable bed frame base so they just dragged it, uncovered, down the stairs doing nothing to protect it from damage. They then broke off one of the motors by loading them improperly, rendering a $2200 bed frame useless. At no point did the movers point out or take responsibility for ANY damages they caused and even had the audacity to ask me to sign saying they delivered everything properly and undamaged. I had to walk them back and show them all of the damages before they told me their boss would contact me in 48 hours, which of course, they didn't. The damaged bed frame cannot be repaired and will have to be replaced for the retail price of $2200. Adding in the cost for the repairs of the other furniture they damaged, puts their total damages caused at over $2700. I paid $175 for their scam coverage and was offered a measly $395 for repairs to multiple pieces of furniture. They are refusing to cover it despite the coverage contract I paid for stating they would pay up to 5k. I am now in the process of having to take them to small claims court for the damages they caused me, which is even more of my time wasted. In total we ended up paying them about $1200 instead of $800 for the move because they took over double the quoted time (which I still would have been okay with, as I understand it was a quote not a guarantee, but only if everything had actually been taken care of and moved properly). TLDR: In the end, I paid about %50 more than the original quoted price, had to repair damages to my doorways, got to spend a day cleaning ice melt out of both houses, many of my things are dented and scraped, my $2,200 bed frame doesn't function anymore and I still ended up helping the movers move heavy furniture, which was the main thing I hired this company to avoid. I am out $2700 in damages and I have been fighting with them to get this resolved for weeks and now am in the process of suing them in small claims court. After this experience I would recommend hiring literally ANY OTHER MOVING COMPANY instead of ALL MY SONS or just save yourself the money and do it yourself. read more

We just hired these moving specialist and we are so glad we did! We had to move from Walden, CO to Grand Junction, CO and that's a lot of miles, and a lot of precious items. To begin with, the scheduling person was courteous, thorough and honest. On the day of moving, the 3 gentlemen arrived on time and eggar to exceed our expectations. David, Mathew, and Sonna were so helpful, careful and respectful that I wish I had another move, so I could hire them again. No joke! This was our first time using a professional moving company so we weren't sure what to expect but I can certainly say this company is the worst! I never leave reviews but after the total bs that I have gone through during and after the move, I have to so hopefully others are warned not to use this company. We, like other reviews have alluded to, were quoted and assured that $700 would be our final cost only to be forced to sign and pay $3100 the day of! We had to pay and sign because they still had a whole other truck that hadn't been delivered yet. When we tried to call the office they blamed it on us for not giving an accurate description of what we needed. Never using a moving company before we did not know and were not told that things could not be in bags or they can't stack them or hang them in their truck even though they were structured tarp bags. So at that point we had to have a separate truck just for bags on one layer-such a waste and what a ridiculous rule to not make your customers aware of beforehand especially when this was their first move. Above all of that, we offered the washer and dryer that came with the house to one of the movers as long as he could take it with him. He was appreciative but then everything I would point to when I was trying to direct him with boxes he would misinterpret that I was saying he could have it. Days later we realized that we did not receive any of our extra costo bulk items (paper towels, detergent, tp etc.). Super disappointing but whatever. There was zero hustle in any of the movers except for one guy who showed up in the last hour and was the only guy (along with my husband) who even came close to breaking a sweat. My husband and I did 50% of the packing of the truck and when they went to unpack it everything was thrown in the garage, left of the driveway and stacked almost to the ceiling in the entryway and living room. Needless to say we had significant damage to a LOT of stuff including 2 tvs, leather couch, antique table, grill, high heels, and sooo many dishes. We also had significant damage to our house- scratches everywhere, chipped doors and baseboards and deep scratches in wood floors. To top everything off they require that you submit your claim asap With timestamp pictures and assure you that 'you got the good insurance so you'll be taken care of' so that's what I did. I went through everything and took pictures. Filled out their ancient forms and submitted my claim that was easily valued at a conservative $1.5k. I was not asked any questions or asked for any information before I received a docusign request with a payout of $500. The cost of one tv. When I requested to talk with the agent assigned to my claim he would not respond with anything other than 'your claim has not been approved for increase.' The real scam here is in the claims process. The customer service email and phone take you nowhere. No one answers no one has voicemails and if you get through to someone who says they will take your information that means nothing. I called management and started cc'ing them on all my claims inquiries only to hear absolutely nothing back from any parties on their end (customer service, claim agent and Fort Collins office manager). I have decided to not let this drive me crazy every day anymore so I finally accepted their bogus offer so that I can be done with them. This was a move from hell. 1) they doubled their estimated time and they charge per hour 2) I paid for a full move and pack, but had to help myself just to try and get the move done somewhat on time (which clearly Didn't happen...see above). When I mentioned this, the assistant manager said "Look, we've had drivers fired or leave so we are expecting customers to help move right now. Is this the right decision? Maybe not, but it is what it is." 3) they refused to put me through to a manager when I was upset about the customer service 4) they damaged both the home we moved from and the home we moved into. 5) the assistant manager quit our job mid way through when I tried to talk to him about why I was upset with the service given. He literally threw a temper tantrum and told me he was just going to resign. it was nuts. 6) the movers lost the hardware from the bed they disassembled. I had to go buy new ones myself to get beds put together even though I paid for a full reassembly service. 7) we paid for a full pack, disassembly, unload, unpack, and reassembly. We only got a partial pack, load, and unload. And we were STILL double our time estimate. 8) I was promised a call from management to discuss our issues, but never received one. The TLDR: please do not choose this company. Just choose a big name vendor. We' had great experiences with United, and we'll never deviate from them again. read more

My daughter hired this bunch for a quick move from Loveland to Fort Collins. They showed up two hours late to start, Everything was ready to move so all loaded in the truck in about an hour or a little less. 20 min drive to Fort Collins unload in an hour. Bill was 900$, but they had quoted my daughter 550 total for the move which was to include drive time and fuel. She argued with them to know end, they did drop the bill to 800 but still if a business isn't going to stand behind what they tell you then there a shame of a business. She did say the move itself was good, but just be aware of the overcharge. Lastly the person (owner or manager) she called to complain was not a pleasant individual. My moving team showed up on time and moved fast...and we're careful with my stuff. Very courteous and polite and very skillful with some difficult large pieces of furniture in tight spaces. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY & READ THE FINE PRINT IF YOU DO! We are deeply disappointed with the service provided by All My Sons. We were charged inaccurately, given a highly misleading quote, and never given the opportunity to review the contracts we signed prior to signing. We ended up paying triple what we were initially quoted. We were not given the opportunity to review the contracts before signing. Despite my request for the contract several days in advance of our scheduled service date, All My Sons refused to provide it. On the day of the move, one of the movers presented an iPad with the contract and quickly scrolled through the fine print, pausing only to have me sign in the required areas. If we had taken the time to read the contract, we would have incurred additional charges because the service clock started when the movers arrived, not after the contract was signed, even though the actual service began after the contract was signed. Prior to unloading our belongings at our new apartment, the movers insisted that we sign more documents and pay one thousand dollars for the service. If we had declined to sign and pay, all our possessions would have been taken to a storage facility, and we would have been required to schedule another date to receive them. This price was triple what we were initially quoted for our move. We moved from a very small six hundred sqft apartment with few belongings to a slightly bigger apartment in the SAME COMPLEX. We contacted All My Sons to address the issue, and they provided a small refund for a time discrepancy but did not offer any other refund. We spoke to Tony at the Fort Collins All My Sons location, and he informed us that we should have read the quote that was supposed to be emailed to my personal email. The only emails I received from All My Sons included copies of my signature and a cost breakdown for the completed service. I told Tony that I had not received the email for my quote, but I did receive a text message with a link to schedule our move. He admitted that there were a few error messages regarding the quote email but stated that since I received the receipt, All My Sons had the correct email, and it is not their fault that my inbox malfunctioned. To confirm the details of our apparently misleading quote, we called All My Sons on a different day to express our interest in using them for an upcoming move. A woman answered and confirmed that fuel and travel are indeed included in the quote for the first hour. She also clarified that anything used on the truck for the move, including materials, is covered in the first hour. Furthermore, she stated that payment is taken after the truck is unloaded, not before. We took this step to ensure that we did not misunderstand our quote and to confirm any discrepancies. All My Sons should be obligated to provide transparent quotes to their customers. Don't sign anything until you have had time to read the contract thoroughly. The behavior this company displays is both predatory and unethical. read more

Our move that was less than a 15 minute drive cost us over $2,000 because of their incompetency. The two young BOYS were brand new and completely destroyed this move for us. I used this moving company because they were attentive to what I needed to do to move. However, when they showed up, it was a different situation. They spent a half hour explaining the paperwork, which was on my dime. Paperwork they could've sent ahead of time. The movers refused to use the service elevator which I had to reserve ahead of time. Their reason was that they didn't want to be "dicks" because other people were moving and using the elevato. it cost me an extra hour. They charged me an extra $169 that I was supposed to get back because they were off of the cutoff time by an hour. Do not use this moving company...especially if you're a woman. This company cares more about getting more money from its customers than it does saving them. Overall the job should've taken only three hours. We were only moving down the street and living on the second floor. It ended up taking six hours because I did not think to have to babysit the employees and make sure they weren't sandbagging. We also had to sign an agreement on services to be paid AFTER our stuff was already in the truck and felt obligated to sign for fear they wouldn't unload it until we did. They also chose to use the elevator instead of the stairs wasting more time while I was paying $2.50/minute. After explaining everything in a very calm and professional manner to the manager he did almost nothing to help us out and ended up actually only paying us back for materials that we possessed and he shouldn't have charged us in the first place. What a deal. At first he seem like he wanted to help but, then he practically acted like we never spoke the next day and said there's nothing he can do for me. As I continued to fight and called multiple times he continued to never be available. Coincidence? Overall I recommend not using this moving company there's a reason why these reviews are so low. I usually don't write reviews, but this moving experience was a disaster for my daughter and son-in-law. The move was scheduled for early in the morning and when no one showed up, my daughter called. James gave excuses about the driver not showing up. After having to call back again, James pulled another crew and they arrived 3 1/2 hours late. The driver was rude and disrespectful and pushed for tips. The crew was not careful with my daughter's belongings. I wish I could post the picture of the back of the truck that we took. The crew loaded up and left for the 1/2 hour trip to the new house. My daughter arrived before the truck. The crew took an hour and they missed items in the basement and kids outdoor toys that they threw over the fence to the front yard. When going over the charges, the driver tried to charge for materials that they didn't use (mattress covers that were purchased ahead of time). Overall, it was a stressful moving day. We have moved 6 times in the past 20 years...this was by far the worst experience we've ever had. They put their best foot forward on the front end to make you feel all secure and snuggly so don't be fooled by the "professional" movers pitch. Four guys showed up - two were great and obviously struggling with the ineptitude of the other two. Unfortunately, one of the inepts was the crew leader, who was rude (not just to us but to his crew members), sloppy with our stuff, and honestly could not have cared less (one of them actually apologized for how prickish the crew leader was being). Broke stuff, scratched stuff, scratched up our new hardwood floor, would have scratched up our walls if we hadn't constantly intervened. They packed the truck so sloppily that I watched stuff fall out of it when they opened the door. Didn't put anything where we asked them to - paid $2,400 to have to haul furniture and 80lbs boxes up the stairs ourselves. We were so fed up with them by the end of the day we just wanted them out of our house and away from our stuff before they effed anything else up. Also, they took a really long lunch ( no problem with that) and we are pretty sure they came back drunk or high or both ( I'd be fine with that too, if they didn't mess up my stuff). All My Sons is rotten to the core. I hired this company for a long distance move. I got several estimates before I selected this company and went with them based on their quote. Two days before my move was supposed to take place, they told me they needed to raise the cost by $6K. I was stuck with no options; no other company could help me out on such short notice. Classic bait and switch. They low balled the quote to hook me in then raised the cost at the last minute. I swallowed the jagged pill and ponied up the extra $6K. If that wasn't enough, the movers damaged $4,635 (870 lbs) of goods during the move. Fortunately (I thought), I opted for "Full Replacement Value" coverage on the front-end that costs me an additional $1,464. Waving that coverage would have only provided me $0.60/lb ($522) in reimbursement for damaged goods. I submitted my claim and was offered exactly $0.60/lb as reimbursement. After six emails and numerous phone calls to their claims department, they eventually offered me $1,585 versus the $4,635 I was entitled to receive. I would have been better off financially by opting for the no-cost-default $0.60/lb coverage versus paying for "Full Replacement Value." I told AMS their company is a fraud and told them I would be posting a negative review about my experience. I was immediately threatened that part of my agreeing to the one-third settlement offer was that I was also agreeing to "not disparage" them publicly, and if I did post a negative review I would hear from their attorneys. To be clear, in order to get a single cent for my damaged goods, they required me to sign a non-disparagement agreement. These are fraudulent business practices. Considering the initial bait and switch quote, the thousands of dollars in damaged goods, their ridiculous reimbursement offers that involved a hostage non-disparagement clause, I feel no obligation to honor my end of the bargain. All My Sons, come after me if you would like. I'm happy to create more press about this matter and shine an even brighter light on your extremely shady business practices. I would happily add to this review that AMS actually sued a paying customer who had a bad experience and posted a negative review about it. A quick internet search will prove I'm not the only sucker to do business with these crooks. I passionately urge everyone not to share one penny of their hard-earned money with this company. Terrible and inconsiderate. They were hired by my landlords as we were evicted from our house. To me this is irrelevant and my items should have still been handled with care. It was raining and I very nicely asked that they wait to take a dresser that was my great great grandmothers out until my truck arrived so it would not get ruined by the rain. Well that didn't happen, it was one of the first items they brought out in the rain. They then literally just started tossing my belongings like it was all garbage. The broke a number of items that cannot be replaced as they have been passed down for generations. My personal electronics like my computer were set out in the rain. Pictures that my children had painted for their father ruined. Pictures of my children ruined. Paint spilled all over the things from my wedding. I did take pictures of all the damage and will be reaching out to file a formal complaint in hopes that no one else has to go through this again. To be treated so terribly when my family was already going through a very hard time is horrible. Just because it was an eviction does not mean that we are not human beings who have worked hard for what we had and these guys were so judgmental and inconsiderate. We hired and paid a deposit in April for a June move. The experience started off great and professional but couldn't be more disappointed and frustrated with the experience the weekend of what should have been our move. The week of our move the details and timeline were confirmed with James. On the confirmation call he explained realistically our delivery window on Saturday would be towards the end of the window. No big deal. We spent the day moving personal belongings, internet small items etc in anticipation for the crew to arrive as planned that afternoon. At the end of the window there was no sign of them, gave James a call and he explained they were behind schedule, short staffed, and wouldn't be able to make it happen before the crew members timed out at 5:15pm. He was very apologetic and arranged the crew to reschedule the pickup for the next day, Sunday first thing in the morning at 7:45am. He said Eli the driver would be my next call and he would also call me to check-in through the morning move. We understand staffing shortages and delays so was understanding and accommodating with rescheduling the next day. Sunday morning 7:45am comes around and no call from Eli or the company. I called the office at 8am with no answer. Emailed James, no response. Called the corporate office, was put on hold for 25 minutes. The customer service agent said she was trying to get ahold of the Fort Collins team and that they were "getting it together", after a few more minutes on hold she told me I would receive an email from a manager in the next few minutes. After an hour and no email I called back. A gentleman put me on hold for over 45 minutes before I hung up and also sent another email to James with no response. I called back and the third person was able to actually give me any kind of guidance.They said they couldn't get ahold of anyone in Fort Collins, reached out to her corporate manager who would be contacting me. No word from James or anyone the rest of the day. It was mostly frustrating as James said Saturday when he rescheduled the move he would personally call to check-in through the day. He completely ghosted us Sunday. Monday morning I still hadn't heard from the All My Sons team. I actually have to drive by the warehouse on my way to work. As I was driving by I saw a truck pulling out of the lot. I called the office and finally got a hold of James for the first time since Saturday. He explained he was so sorry and embarrassed. Also, that he fired most of his staff and will be doing a mass hiring. I don't need to hear the excuses and behind the scenes drama. If the staff was fired and no staff available to reschedule the move yet again then why was the truck pulling out with a crew first thing Monday morning? James refunded my deposit and apologized again. The poor excuses and refund doesn't make up for the frustrating inconvenience, time spent on hold, new last minute moving accommodations, and most importantly the lack of communication and customer service. Based on the very poor communication I wouldn't recommend trusting All My Sons with any size move. read more
