Oh hell no! I had recommendations from 2 friends that I should use Skyline for my upcoming move - which involved packing and moving a 900 sq ft apartment. I had the walk through with Alexander and approved the quote in terms of time and cost, although I thought 6 hours was a lot for such a small space . On the morning of the move, March 22, I provided muffins and water for the 3 men who would be handling the project and I told them to drink anything that was still in the fridge. Mike, their leader, informed me that for a job of this size, they would be expecting $150-200 tip for EACH of them. Mind you, this is before any item has been packed. I responded with "Let's see how the day goes". (I had planned on tipping $100 per person, but this attitude hit me wrong). I asked Mike to call me when they were about an hour away from being done, so I could come down and look at the apartment. After 5 hours, I called and he said they were almost done, so I drove to the apartment and when I walked in you couldn't tell that anything had been done - all of the furniture, lamps, TVs, etc. were still in place and the kitchen wasn't even done! So far, Mike has 2 strikes against him. I wait another hour and text Mike and ask if his team would like pizza or tacos for lunch since I knew they had been working all day - he asks for tacos so I go and get a dozen tacos, thinking that after 6 plus hours the apartment would be packed and they would be on their way. An hour later Mike calls me to ask if they are supposed to pack the pantry because they just opened that door - uh yeah, it's part of the apartment! So I went back to my new home and waited for the call. After 8 HOURS I call again and he says it is taking longer because I have so much glass! Strike 3. I tell Mike to call his boss and get more people to help and he tells me it will cost me more - we'll see about that. FINALLY after 10 HOURS they arrive at my new home and there are 6 men unloading the truck. I tell them explicitly "Everything goes in the garage on the right side, nothing but furniture in the house" Well, what do they do? They start loading both sides of the garage and put boxes in the kitchen! I remind them of my instructions. I tell Mike the tip will come later as I need to talk to his boss about the debacle. His boss, Ray calls me that Saturday night and tells me the elevator was slow and they had to park 100 feet further than they thought and that's why it took longer and that the bid was incorrect. Not my problem. I tell him, there are stairs and they could have used them, I didn't have any large pieces of furniture, and just a queen size bed, so that argument was very weak. And Ray tells me that it is in their contract that they can add 2-3 hours (@ $235/hr) to any project. And that Mike was correct in telling me about the tip being expected. He gives me a new quote - which is $300 more than my original quote and I counter back with $200 less than my quote, which he accepts. I truly feel that this crew of men thought they could take advantage of a middle aged woman - there's no man there to keep them in check, so they'll just putz around and get paid for doing nothing. 900 square feet, 1 queen bed, 7 piece sectional, etc. shouldn't take 9 HOURS to pack and move!!!!!!!! On Sunday I went to my apartment only to find that they didn't pack anything that was in the laundry area - mops, brooms, vacuums, etc. They didn't pack a 2' x3' mirror from my master bedroom, and they didn't pack some serving dishes that were left on the kitchen counter . And to add insult to injury left their trash in the sink. So now I'm having to clean up after them and haul this stuff away! On Monday, Steve the owner calls me to apologize for this nightmare of a move. I genuinely appreciated his call and he let me know that the tip comment was absolutely unprofessional and that they have never had it in their contracts to be able to add 2-3 more hours automatically. I wish I could have tipped the 4 of the 6 guys that were really hustling, but because of their leader's actions, no one received a tip and I would never recommend Skyline moving. We used Skyline to move from the mountains to the city. We kept most of our belongings in their storage for 7 1/2 months.... we thought it would be a couple months. They were very accommodating when 2 months turned into 4 months, 6 months, 7 months, until we finally got finished remodeling our new home. Then they delivered everything to our new little red house. We got two of the original guys, Josiah and Jadon, and Rudy. Once again we got a group of very nice, friendly, very hard working guys. The don't mess around, they start working and don't stop until the work is done. They are efficient and will gladly accommodate any requests to move things around. We give a 10 plus for these movers. We did have an issue with some of our dining room chairs with leather seats. When they wrapped them for storage they tightly wrapped them with wide straps which after 7 1/2 months made deep creases in the leather seats on all 8 chairs. We were told they have their own repair shop and the seats will be repaired. I trust that they will be fixed. That being said, I had a very good experience with this company and I would recommend them. Over the 8 months they were always responsive and easy to deal with. For clarification, we moved from Colorado to California in a 26 foot uhaul. Where do I even begin with my horrendous experience with Skyline Moving Company? If I could give them zero stars, I would, but unfortunately, I have to settle for one star because there's no lower option. If you value your belongings, your sanity, and your hard-earned money, DO NOT hire this moving company. Hired these guys for JUST a loading service in Loveland, CO on July 31. When I was quoted for the move, I stated it would not take more than 2 hours. I was lead to believe there was a 2 hour minimum. The day before the move, Skyline calls me and tells me there is a 3 hour minimum. I asked them to talk to the owner and see if it could be 2 as I definitely did not have enough stuff to fill 3 hours. Nope. When they arrived, the two boys seemed friendly, but right out the gate said "we expect $75-100 tips EACH", which was super off putting as I was already going to be paying for an extra hour of service I did not need. All of my items were neatly organized in the living room, with only a few items upstairs, in order to minimize the moving time. I could tell they were taking their sweet time though as they stayed outside by the truck for a while chatting. I ended up carrying several of my items to the garage to speed things up. It took 1.5 hours. I was charged for 3 because of this 3 hr minimum company policy. When it came time to leave, they told me they were done, but the truck was closed. They closed the truck before I could inspect its contents, leaving me in the dark about the condition of my belongings. I tipped them and they left. When I got my destination and opened the truck, I found trash inside - their empty Gatorade bottle. What kind of professional moving company leaves trash behind for their customer to deal with? My expensive electric bike was on its side, with scratches on it. The mattress which had been bagged and taped shut was carelessly shoved on the top and had fallen out of the bag and was soiled. And there was a STACK OF MOVING BLANKETS I had given them UNUSUED, meanwhile several of my tables and bookcase had scartches on them. I immediately documented everything and sent it to the company to claim. Several days go by and I don't hear anything. I call THEM since they didn't even have the decency to follow up, and they say "did you read the documents you signed? we won't cover anything. We have no liability." Not even for the POOR LOADING? You didn't properly wrap my items in the provided moving blankets and tape that I gave you!!! Due to your inadequate moving techniques, my belongings have suffered damage. The furniture I own now bears scratches, a direct result of your failure to utilize the moving blankets and tape that were provided for protection. YOU SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE PACKING OF THE TRUCK. I paid you over $600 for it with tips included. $600 for a 1.5 hr load only. Absolutely ridiculous. Never use this company! read more

I SO want to give this business 5 stars- the professionalism, the way they staged the move before moving my items - using blankets to cover bannisters, and flooring, wrapping furniture for protection, the way they communicated all throughout the move, how fast they worked for 2 hours straight, and the experience they had- all of it was amazing, smooth and no problems. The only issue I had, was that I was required to pay for 3 hours minimum for 2 movers, when I only needed them for 2hours for a one bedroom move. They moved my items from a garage down to the basement apartment in the same building. No travel time needed. It took these guys just under two hours to complete the move. I wish they would have charged me for the actual time required to complete the move. Other than that- no complaints at all! I was beyond impressed with the two guys that helped us - isaac and sohiel - they moved everything down two stories at our apartment and up three flights of stairs into our townhome within a little over 4 hours and some of our stuff was HEAVY. They even took apart and put back together our adjustable base for our bed and our bedframe. Imagine the movers show up, not having brought enough packing materials, because they ignored the email from their supervisor telling them how many boxes were needed.so they use your personal trash bags. Things got broken. How did they manage to break off the handle of a Paul Revere stainless steel pan? Many things broken. Book shelf pegs missing. Instead of using the special TV box to protect the TV; the crew leader said it was better to simply wrap in in heavy padding materials. I now have to buy a new TV. I was told that they carried liability insurance, but then after contracting them, they told me I needed to take out liability insurance. But then when I contacted them about all the damaged, missing goods - they simply flipped it off! Wicked - very wicked people. Go national - not local. read more

I was moving from one house to another but my new home was not ready to move in for a few months. I had a woodshop with lots of expensive woodworking tools. I called many moving companies but choose Skyline because they stated they were not only skilled on moving shops but Nalu came out to look at the house and walked thru and looked at everything that needed to be moved. All my items needed to go into storage until my new house was ready. Skyline was a little more expensive but felt they were worth it due to the attention and assured skill. Also used Skyline to move into my house 4 months later. Several of my items were damaged but really upset me were my tools. I have 3 bandsaw and all 3 were damaged by negligent handling. Many conversations and emails later, Skyline gave me $144 towards the damage. That won't even come close to repair. I used their basic insurance, thinking they would be an honest company, taking responsibility for their mishandling of my belongings. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! ***UPDATE:*** Upon seeing this review and hearing about our complaints, Skyline called us. They were deeply apologetic about our experience and did their best to make it right. They refunded the second, unapproved charge and discounted our bill further. We appreciate their apology and solution. While we made edits to our review, we still feel it reflects our original experience, so we declined to remove it. ------ My partner and I didn't want to write this review, as the movers were nice and we had high hopes. Unfortunately, our experience moving with Skyline was not a good one. First, two crew members (Ken and Mark) arrived 15 minutes late without their lead member (Ricky). He arrived about 40 minutes late. When he did get here, he spent the first hour walking through the house and talking to his crew about things unrelated to the job. The lead's presence actually reduced the productivity of the other two workers and during this time he only packed one box. The lead then disappeared after about an hour, and was gone for a half hour. His crew could not find him outside or get ahold of him by phone. When he came back, he said he was outside. We felt like we had to be in their immediate vicinity for them to work. Even so, they stopped their work many times to discuss non work related things. One worker was far more diligent and spent most of his time there working. However, some of his rooms were the ones poorly packed, as described below. We did 3 walkthroughs before they left, each time finding more things they had not packed. All of these delays increased the time spent packing and loading our things. We lost much needed time to clean our house, complicating our moving plans. Toward the end of their packing, the lead approached us and told us he would end their contracted hours early and charge us a lower amount. We paid and signed for that amount. Later, we found we were charged a second time, to reflect the actual time spent, doubling the original "discounted" cost (see update at the top). Upon unpacking, we were further disappointed. We found: a salt lamp on top of our picture frames, a chef's knife placed unwrapped in a kitchen box, our lawn bocce ball set (8 heavy balls) boxed in with our computer monitors and some of our smaller, more fragile pieces (e.g.,Christmas ornaments) were not wrapped at all. While everyone from Skyline was friendly and very nice, this was overall a disappointing experience. read more

We used them to unload a total of 3 storage containers into a storage facility, and also to help my 90 and 95 year old parents move into assisted living and unload their container as well. Originally I must admit I called another moving company. after working with them for 3 weeks, when the day came for my service the movers were MIA for over 6 hours and showed up looking like day labor hires. then I called Skyline- from the first call they were professional. upfront about their fees and pricing, a complete 180 from what I had been dealing with. This is the most unprofessional company I've ever worked with. Our tenant hired them to move him out of our rental property. Our tenant declined to pay extra for floor protection and these guys dumped tons of salt/snow melt on our deck and then tracked this damaging product throughout our entire house, on every inch of our original hardwood floors, and then left it there to dry for 4 days before we found it. At this point the salt had deteriorated the sealant and left a permanent fog on the floors, with salt crystals stuck into the grooves. We spoke to two flooring companies who both said the only way to fix the damage is to sand and refinish them. Skyline refuses to take any responsibility for completely destroying our hardwood floors. I would give this moving company a negative 1-star rating if I could. This has been the worst moving experience of my life. This moving company is completely incompetent in so many ways. We just needed to move stuff out of our POD in Denver to our home in Estes Park. First, the movers complained about the way our POD was loaded, even though professional movers had done it correctly and efficiently. They wasted time by unloading and reloading the truck, which could have been avoided if they had loaded it properly the first time. When they arrived at our second stop, they had issues with the loading ramp, and our handyman had to fix it for them. This delay caused more problems and set us back even further. Then, when they stopped for gas on the way, the key broke off in the truck's ignition, which delayed our arrival in Estes by another 3 hours. When they finally arrived in Estes, they were unable to pull the truck into the driveway because of a small divot in the snow. They left the truck in the middle of the street, blocking access for our neighbors further down the cul-de-sac. To make matters worse, when they called in another person to help, he drove straight into a snow bank and got stuck, blocking our path to the house. We had to help dig his SUV out and then help unload the moving truck because they were so behind schedule. We hired a moving company because we both recently had severe back injuries, but we had to carry boxes and furniture all the way down our driveway, which aggravated our injuries for several days. Due to the delay, they were not able to put any items together or reassemble furniture that was disassembled due to the move. All the boxes were placed in the garage, not the house, because we were losing daylight. The company quoted us for 5 hours with only two movers, but the job took 8 hours with four movers, not including the multiple delays. I informed the company of all the items that were being delivered and updated my inventory multiple times, but they still could not handle the job. The movers were kind, but slow and inefficient, and it was clear that they were not organized, trained or supported well by the company. One of the movers told us that he had been on a single moving job for 21 hours straight. After all of this we reached out to the owners of the company for some compensation or partial refund due to the terrible experience we had. They were unapologetic and unwilling to make things right. They did stop the clock while their truck was broken and provided the extra person (who immediately caused more work and further delays) but otherwise they considered our experience as normal. I would not recommend this moving company to my worst enemies. They were completely incompetent, unprofessional, unreliable, and caused more problems than they solved. We just moved 3 times in 2 months and this was far and away the worst experience. The movers disregarded any direction or requests and then proceeded to damage our stuff. The movers had a negative attitude and it wasn't pleasant having them in our apartment. You may save some money on the move, but you'll pay for it when your stuff gets damaged. The movers brought no tape to a moving job. I brought the issues to management and the service and professionalism looks to stem from the top. Instead of making it right, they were combative, made excuses, and essentially claimed I wasn't being honest. Justin offered $74 for ripping a new $650 mattress, due to insurance policies.
