This company is awesome !! Christina the reservation specialist saved me hundreds of dollars. She recommended that I rent the uhaul ($60), then her employees would drive the uhaul to my daughters house, pack it up, drive it 60 miles to upload it in Denver, then drive it back to Fort Collins and drop it off for us. Total cost was $$435 including uhaul and 25% tip. I'm beyond estatic at how much money I saved, plus have never ever had a move go as seamlessly as this. The movers, Brayan and Logan (nice guys from the university) were very nice, super quick and eager to help. This is way better than spending $129 per hour working with a regular moving company. I used this company to move out during my divorce. The first kid (college students) to show up was polite and kind. The other kid was late hung over and complained about not wanting to be there. The late guy chattered a lot. They didnt follow instructions of where to put things when we moved and they did not know how to stack and make the best use of space when putting items in storage. This is crucial when trying to conserve space. This is not a moving co. The can move your stuff they have the braun but it will not be where you need it to be, stored/stacked efficiently or taken where it needs to go. I also had to babysit them to tell them multiple times what went in the house and not. They didnt get it right and stuff got buried that i said to take into the house. This kept me from moving things which kept them at the job longer. read more

The people who showed up admitted at the end of the day, that they did not have the experience to do a basic build, had only framed one shed wall, and they said they did it wrong so it would have to be taken apart. The shed kit is now strewn all over the place and Kristina at Laborjack left me high and dry, pretty much saying they don't have anyone qualified - it's a Home Depot kit. I'm going to look into my legal options as now the entire thing is out in the elements until I can find someone who no doubt is going to charge double since I now have an emergency. read more

My Wife and I are both Seniors and are not able to perform heavy physical tasks. During the summer we booked two people from this firm to dig a hole and plant a tree. Neither showed up. The Company claimed it was a misunderstanding of the date. We decided to give them another chance and booked two people to move a few pieces of furniture from my basement to a U-Haul trailer. Only one person showed up. When he checked with the company, they offered no replacement and appeared dumbfounded about how to help. . We had arranged movers to unload the trailer later in the day so I had to be the second mover at great personal pain. Laborjack is exactly what it claims to be: a service where you schedule college kids to help you do stuff. They're not going to provide any tools or a truck--you're hiring the labor only. Since I was planning on renting a moving truck and moving some stuff locally, this is just what I was looking for. Their website is legitimately good, making it extremely easy to schedule a move. I ended up calling them directly to ask for more details about exactly how their service worked, and I was able to immediately get a hold of someone (on a Sunday) who happily answered all of my questions. After scheduling a couple of workers, I got a confirmation email along with a little blurb about the guys who would be assigned to the job, which I thought was a nice personal touch. On the day of the move, they (Kyle and Eli) arrived on time and got to work. They didn't quite seem like professional movers, as they weren't really planning out how to load the truck and would pretty much grab whatever was next and go. However, they were exceedingly polite and attentive and would do precisely what was asked of them. They also worked nonstop, and in the end, they didn't ding any walls, drop anything, or hurt themselves. Not sure I can say that about most of the professional movers I've dealt with. Payment was easy--I approved the total number of hours and corresponding charge to my card, and I got an electronic receipt. I'm really happy with the job they did and highly recommend this service. I will absolutely be using Laborjack again next time I need some help on a move. read more

It's sad to think that someone pay someone to do manual labor at the rate of $60 an hour next time I'll go down by the homeless shelter what a rip off. My ex husband is a builder and I guarantee you the laborers on that job work really hard and they sure would like to make half of the $30 an hour that these guys Charge you. Stacking boxes and totes too bad I didn't know a couple strong able college students who would've thought half of this was plenty especially when you pay someone to do a job and the most important thing is that they enable you to get into that storage unit and that your clothes are hanging right so that you can maneuver around them and get what you need but they couldn't bother to put the clothing rack together completely or correctly left off the rollers which apparently disabled the base which had not been hammered together and I got in the storage unit open the door and everything was on the ground with the rollers and the wheels nowhere in sight contacted the company twice no response shame on you ripping off an old lady read more

Would not recommend. We expected professional movers and only 1 out of the 4 kids had experience. One dragged a desk breaking it, 2 didn't know how to wrap furniture. One needed direction. It required constant supervision. It look much longer and cost more than using experienced uhaul movers. The kids were polite and respectful-great kids but we needed to move quickly and efficiently. The company was responsive when we booked but didn't return our call after the move. The only reason the company got a 2 star was because the kids were respectful and worked hard but the company should have sent experienced movers for a large house that needed to be loaded for a cross country move. read more

Hired four guys to unpack our crammed full 26' moving truck. They are college guys, not professional movers, but at least a couple of them seemed to have special knowledge about moving. They were all nice, kept working for the hours they were there, and didn't damage anything. A couple months earlier I'd hired a true moving company to load/unload a truck and the rates were about double what Laborjack charged. Everyone showed up when agreed, was polite, and did the job without issue. Keep in mine they have no equipment (dollies, gloves, tools, supplies). But would definitely use again. read more

Hired them for a job, and after rescheduling twice they called the morning of and said they had no one for the job. They pulled two guys off other jobs to come complete the job we hired them for. It was yard work, pulling weeds and moving dirt. I asked for the side yard, backyard, and alley to be cleared. Dirt to be moved to the side of my house so it could be level with the neighbors. They only thing they did semi correct was clear the back yard. The job was NOT completed so we called to complain. We were told they don't service the area I live in (so why accept the job in the first place????) and to try again with someone locally. Maybe get a partial refund. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They don't listen to their costumers at all. The lady who answered the phone said her notes say the job was completed. I told her I could send her pictures showing it was not completed. By trying to "service all over Colorado" they are causing themselves to do piss poor work. Don't waste your money. read more

5/5, 10/10 would recommend! Our move was easy and in-state. However of course every little thing that could go wrong did. Without going into all the dumb details. Just know this company is amazing and responsive. Scheduling them was a breeze I got movers scheduled on the day and time I wanted without any issues. The day of the move the world collapsed so we had to move the time of our move back an hour and without any problem the rep was able to get this done for us. Our movers Michael and Bryce were AMAZING, FREAKING FAST AND PROS at filling and organizing the uhaul truck. They fit 4 more large heavy items in that truck. Items we hadn't planned on even taking the day of the move because we were afraid of the lack of space. It truly made such a difference one less trip for us. Michael and Bryce even offered up their cars if we needed even more space. I also have to add it was cold as shit and about to snow and they still just rocked this out of the park. If I could rate lower, I would. First of all on the website it shows men. Labor jack sent out two school boys it looked like that needed constant babysitting and instructions on what to move out to the truck. When they weren't being babysitted and helped by us, with moving our things, they were at the truck standing around or on their phones texting. I had to keep telling them "come on,lets go." They were definitely trying to milk it past the 3 standard hours they required us to book them. Upon us having to help the help, Omar and Kyle tore the back side of our $500 band new couch. They admitted to it so we called Labor Jack as soon as we noticed the damage. Crystol the receptionist advised us to show proof of purchase/value. So we followed her instructions. After starting the process, Josh started to make things difficult. He didn't want to pay me the damage charges to replace my couch.He screamed at me and talked to me like I was stupid for not dealing with payments digitally because of my disability, our first conversation when it came time for payment. I explained to him I had a disability and didn't know about or how to use these app payments. I asked for a written check to be sent. Josh just laughed and made a smart remark " well, its 2021 and I'm still having to write a check." He then proceeded to assure me he had sent the $500 check in the mail. He told me this 7 times. So I kept waiting and waiting. It went from him saying he sent the check to excuses of Josh being out of the office or a family emergency ect. So I spoke with Blake a few times. Then again it went to excuses of Josh and Blake now being out of the office or family emergencies. This happend May 12/21 it is now Aug 13/21 and I still haven't received the reimbursement. Nor has BBB gotten a response from this company. Its sad that they take advantage of the elderly and disabled this way. Especially with this pandemic. Now I'm left with a damaged couch. read more
