Worst moving experience ever. They quoted me over the phone $179 an hour with a two-hour minimum and a one hour trip charge. On the phone, they told me all packing materials and blankets were included. The Movers didn't show up until 3:30 in the afternoon and they didn't wrap or pack anything in blankets. They broke the door completely off of an armoire and broke the hinges on a drop leaf table, leaving one of the leaves hanging by a single screw. Two of the three guys were on the phone most of the time they were moving. There was not a basic standard of care whatsoever. They tried to up-sell me damage insurance on the day of the move and it almost seems like they broke things on purpose because I didn't buy the damage insurance on top of the $560 for 2 hours. From the beginning, communication was inconsistent and misleading. When we first spoke with a representative, I clearly explained that in addition to our large furniture items, we also had clothes, decorations, and other household belongings that would be packed in boxes. The person provided us with a quote based on that information. A second representative called closer to the move date and did not express any confusion about the scope of our move. However, just a day or two before moving, Justin contacted us and only referenced the large furniture items. When I again mentioned boxes and smaller items, Justin seemed confused and then increased our quote. On moving day, the crew arrived late, and one of the movers smelled strongly of marijuana. The main guy said he was "a little" worried about all of our belongings fitting on the truck, that then somehow lead to about a third to a half of our belongings being left behind. After loading, they told us they would unload the truck the next morning instead of that same day. The lead mover even made a comment along the lines of, "If I was feeling like a cowboy today, we'd unload, but we'll just do it tomorrow." This raised serious concerns about whether they had simply chosen not to finish the job. We later overheard him on the phone with the company falsely stating that we had agreed to next-day unloading, which we absolutely had not. They only unloaded that night after I called and complained to their logistics department. To make matters worse, we were told they needed to make additional stops (including going out of the way to drop off a crew member and get a gas card), and it felt like they treated those delays as if they were our responsibility. I had to drive ahead to Florida to meet the movers, while my mother-in-law and wife, both of whom have physical medical issues, were left to handle the situation. They had to quickly move everything off carpeted areas for a scheduled carpet cleaning, carry remaining items downstairs, and finish cleaning the rest of the house themselves. Later that night, my wife had to drive to Florida to help with things there. Then we had to rent our own truck (at an additional cost), drive back to Savannah, load the remaining items ourselves with the help of a friend, and return to Florida again, late at night. We (my wife, mother-in-law, and I) had to then unload the truck (at 2 am), to be able to return it to avoid further rental charges. When we contacted Justin about the situation, the only solution offered was for us to pay an additional $2,000 for another crew to retrieve the items they left behind, which is why we ended up renting a truck. When we declined, he seemed surprised. He was also rude and condescending throughout our conversations. He lied multiple times.. First saying it was up to the movers whether to load and unload, then claiming it was a mutual decision between us and them, then when he was called out on another lie, he hung up. The movers caused property damage by repeatedly slamming their dolly onto the brick area in front of our house, breaking several bricks. They only put down protective padding after we asked them to. They also left behind trash, including tape and wrapping materials, and caused scuff marks on our walls, leaving us with even more cleanup. Overall, this experience was stressful, unprofessional, and extremely costly, not just financially, but physically and emotionally. I would strongly advise anyone considering this company to look elsewhere. read more

This company is a joke. They called me in response to my yelp and and quoted me $130 an hour. Then they refuse to return my call. But Rather kept sending me messages via yelp that someone was working on the schedule and manager would call. Then no call received. Left messages and still no response. I finally get ahold of someone this morning the day before my move and he kept talking over me and then said he would give me a discount for $179 an hour. I stopped him and told no that was not the quote I was given. I told him I have been calling since Friday to get my time confirmation bc I have to be in Florida Friday morning. Then he puts me on hold and comes back and says he do $135 an hour and that would include their drive time from Savannah. I was never told I had to pay for their drive time! I told him how unprofessional this company is and to refund my $100 deposit they took on Friday. Now I have 1 day to find an honest company to move me!!!! read more

I strongly recommend you think again before paying the $100 deposit the extremely available service representative promises that is SO easy to get refunded and cancel or change moving plans later if need be. The representative that takes the call and books you in may be right there for you to speak to but trying to get someone to help you AFTER this process is about impossible. I've paid the deposit but never got a written quote or a confirmation email so I called in to see if I could get a email. First, they keep saying it was sent even though it's not even in the spam. Then, they keep you on hold for over an hour. I have been calling for two days now and have not been able to get through to a person who works at All My Sons. I'm about to call my bank to cancel the payment and contact the company from their end. If you can't get someone from the company on the phone and there's no way to get information on your order, and there's no way to cancel the order... what else could one do. read more

DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES CONTACT THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. They don't deserve any stars. We contacted AMS about getting a quote on moving a treadmill from upstairs in our home, down to the garage. During the quote I explained we needed it taken apart, moved, and put back together. They gave the a quote price that sounded great. The next day we booked them to come move the treadmill, once again during the booking process I explained what exactly I needed done and was told that wouldn't be a problem. The next day I call for the third time to make sure they understood what all I needed done, the type of tread, and that it needed to be assembled and reassembled, once again I was told it was no big deal and they would be able to do it. When the 2 movers arrived at my house they started taking the tread apart immediately, about 15/20 into taking it apart to move one of the movers came downstairs to have me sign some paperwork and contact the office to give them my payment (they make you pay upfront, before they start moving). When Skyler the office manager told me the price of what I owed it was DOUBLE what I was quoted. (They had already started the job before I was made aware of this increase). I was alarmed by this and asked for an explanation, she said it was going to be more work than what they were expecting. Granted, I made 3 phone calls prior to the move explaining in great detail what I needed done. She offered very little help or assurance, refused to let me speak to anyone else in the office, as she was the only one who could do anything, told me I needed to pay or the movers would leave and HUNG UP on me. Let me remind you the movers had already halfway taken apart the tread. My husband spoke to Skyler and Justin, which proved to be useless. Both were very rude, very disrespectful, very unprofessional, and anything but helpful. The movers left the treadmill halfway taken apart and left. They originally charged my card the full amount of the total move (that I didn't agree to) and later changed it to the price I was quoted, but once again, they didn't complete the job, the only they they did was semi take the thing apart. Before I signed or agreed to anything. Please see pictures below. The next day I called the office and spoke to Skyler again, she was some what nicer, but refused to admit that I was severely misquoted and offer any responsibility on their part. She would not let me speak to Justin. I then spent the next 3 hours trying to talk to someone from corporate but was put on hold, transferred, hung up on, etc. Ultimately I gave up. I agreed to the original quote because it was much lower than other companies and I had high expectations because this is such a large company. However, all I was left with was a semi taken apart treadmill, hours of my life being wasted trying to get help, and out hundreds of dollars for a job that wasn't done. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. Do yourself a favor and call literally call anyone else. read more

Is there a way to leave ZERO stars? IT was the absolute worst experience of my life. I was moving from a 3 bedroom mobile home in Pooler to a 3 bedroom mobile home in Springfield about 22 miles away. I made the reservation and the rep was SO EXCITED because it was the last day of the spring sale prices. She quoted me approximately $770. The day of the move came and it was a disaster from the start. It seemed it was their first move. They left as much stuff in my old house claiming it wasn't sturdy enough to move. They got some of my stuff here to the new house and left it all basically in pieces in one room. They started at about 10am and as they brought me the bill they were asking the lady on the phone to have to 6:45. I was at that time presented with a bill for $1667. I could have died on the spot. Then the 2 men got into an argument with the lady on the phone asking for 7:30 which would have been probably another $400 to $500. They kept arguing as my furniture was in pieces and there wasn't even a path thru to the point they were going to lock the truck WITH MY STUFF and leave. Somehow my son smoothed it over enough. The 2nd guy proudly announced your stuff is all here. BYE. And left. I am not exaggerating I needed to hire other people to help me undo the carnage they left in my old house and we are struggling in the new one as I am disabled and on oxygen 24/7. PLEASE DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. You will suffer financially and in every other way. I'm sure there is nothing I can do about what they've done to me but $1667 should have moved me to another state. Horrifying! SometimesI still cant sleep at night. Our time on this property was temporary. They were mildly friendly but they didn't know how to load a truck, I know this because the last movers we used loaded the exact same furniture in a smaller truck, AND AMS tried to act like they couldn't get our sectional out the back door to make it OUR fault that they couldn't load it. We got to the new house. They backed up and then held our furniture hostage until we paid several hundred dollars more than they quoted. What choice did we have? Unloading. OMG. I told the man you are about to drop my stuff. He said "I got this" as he dumped my belongings 5 feet to the ground. They scuffed the walls and the floors in both of our houses. Didn't place the items where we asked. Because of the stress of the horrible experience we didn't realize that they had left our 65 inch TV along with speakers, daybed and other small items as well. They don't take lamps or art unless you pay them to wrap them with THEIR wrapping. ALL of our paintings were left behind, even the ones that were boxed. I litteraly had to pay another company $500 to clean up their mess. $500 dollars even after they overcharged us. We raised holy hell with the office over the next few days and they agreed to credit us the overcharge, but that took a week. These positive reviews have got to be the owner's family. Moving crew didn't have enough proper packing material to pack up our home. It's a fully furnished 4 bedroom home. After unpacking every piece of furniture there were only 6 moving blankets used in total. Majority of the furniture has some sort of damage to it. No one brought markers so every single box we've had to open to see where it needs to go. ( it's like opening presents on Christmas morning to see what's inside but not in a good way) As I'm unpacking boxes there are linen closet items with kitchen items. ( I guess they needed to use my linen as packing material) I've found as I'm unpacking boxes that several kitchen items broke. For example one box had glassware wrapped at the bottom of the box with my crockpot and wine chiller on top! Majority of the boxes are way over full and extremely heavy because they didn't bring enough boxes. Every single box is damaged because they are all over packed and to heavy to be properly transported without causing damage. Don't get me started on all our books, they used extra large boxes for the books And are filled to the top. Seriously who does that! It's been very stressful and I'm very disappointed..... For the outrageous amount of money we had to give All My Sons Moving we should have just moved ourselves. The only positive information I can give them is that the moving crew was very polite. But that doesn't make up for the damage to our furniture and household items. They need proper training. read more

Looks like I'm not the only one who thinks AMS sucks. They quoted about $800, but my final charge was $1700 and they broke my stuff and offered me $250, the 75 inch TV which was new cost more. I paid $1700 for them to break my stuff. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT HAVE THEM MOVE YOUR STUFF, DO NOT LET THEM ENTER YOUR HOME UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR STUFF DESTROYED. Do not under any circumstances hire this company. I lived on the 3rd floor in a 2 bedroom fully furnished apartment, and it took the 2 movers 10.5 hours to move me to my storage that was on the 1st floor. I was quoted $800 yet I spent $1,800. The manager Justin (I believe that's his name) never gave me the option of a 3rd movers. I immediately called him regarding the amount of time and money it took to move me and how I had to keep redirecting one of the movers. I also started helping them move once I realized this is taking longer than expected (I should have been compensated as a mover). All of my items were ready to go. I had my boxes labeled as to what would go on the truck 1st so it would go in my storage last so I could access them, needless to say that didn't happen. I was over charged for materials that shouldn't have been used due me already having them and placed on items. This company is still costing me money by my sofa, washer machine, dryer, mattress, tv, chairs, etc. being in the front of my storage unit, I'm unable to access my clothes, food, hair care products, feminine items, and other essentials as discussed. I never received a call back from the manager, he stated he had to check with the employee who was off that day - I guess he still off until this day. The movers were polite yet that one mover I had to keep redirecting throughout the move probably needs to go back to training. did not use them..called from SC and got Nathan in Texas. after telling him everything that would be moved and locations, he said $477 so I gave deposit. next day, call from Brunswick and went over same list of what was to be moved. Next day, call from Sa Annan and gave her the same k list to be moved and to,d her that now the riding mower could be taken off the list. she began talking about time to and from the job for 3 workers instead of two and materials to be used....but. k clear explanation of what those would be..so I told her I needed to nail down the price since it seemed to be going above what I was quoted. I to,d her if it was slightly more I would be ok, but I didn't want a big surprise that day.
