She now weighs 115lbs+ and is an active and intense mix of breeds. Because of David (positively the most patient person on the planet) and the supporting staff here, she is well behaved at home and in public. I constantly get compliments about her general manners and also behavior around other dogs. People are often surprised about the command I have over such a large and strong dog. I think things would have been a nightmare for us without this program. Tailored has not only worked with her directly, but they have educated me about ways to work with her on my own. Just like humans, dogs rehabilitate at their own pace, and over those six weeks Peaches made significant progress. I just wanted to post this so people are aware of the type of methods they use. If I would have known about this, I would have never exposed my fearful dog to this type of outdated training method. He has gone on small pack walks before, he has been handled by other trainers, he has been groomed all his life by other people, and never ever been so fearful and anxious like he was with her. Also, putting 20+ dogs in a car definitely does not sound safe.

Her mom adopted the sweetest chihuahua from Arf back in 2021, the fur baby went blind about a year ago. So we were really concerned about how she would settle in a new environment, and we're trying to rehome the dog I went to Joybound a few weeks ago to ask if there was any chance they take back their animals in these circumstances. The woman at the welcome desk was so helpful explaining yes they do. She walked me thru the process to fill out the forms online They got back to my friend promptly to setup an appointment for a behavior assessment and vet evaluation. We had our appointment yesterday at 2. We arrived a half hour early so we wouldn't be rushed , and to help Lily stay as calm as possible. Everyone we encountered was delightful and so kind. No judgements- Lily came alive with tail wags and enthusiasm to be back at such a supportive rescue group. She was just basking in the attention and love. She passed her behavior test with flying colors. We were told she most likely will be going to a foster home first for a few weeks before she's available for adoption. We were told we can follow her online with her name, and see when she becomes available and she won't be on the website anymore once she finds her next loving home. Thank you Joybound for standing behind your animals and supporting families We also did not have to pay a surrender fee. From the very beginning, Dan gently pointed out that Doug might have more cattle dog in him, based on his markings and behavior. When the DNA test confirmed Dan was right, it gave me a whole new understanding of my sweet boy. Doug turned out to be a beautiful mix of cattle dog and other herding breeds, and that insight has made such a difference in helping me understand him better. Dan has been incredibly patient--not only with Doug, but with me too--as I've learned to recognize Doug's triggers, better understand his behavior, and figure out how to help him thrive. Dan's experience with stray and rescue dogs is extremely valuable. Doug is such a sweet dog, about 2 years old, with plenty of puppy energy still in him. He's affectionate, eager for attention, and wonderfully responsive to training. Dan has helped me learn how to channel Doug's energy in positive ways and appreciate just how smart and spirited he really is. Doug keeps me on my toes, and Dan has reminded me that patience and consistency are some of the greatest gifts I can give him. After just three in-home sessions with Dan, I've already seen such encouraging progress. Doug is doing beautifully--he's a star at the dog park, walks nicely on leash, and has learned to respect the boundaries I've set around attention and behavior. Things like digging up the backyard and jumping into my face have stopped, which has been such a relief. Dan's guidance has made a meaningful difference, and staying consistent with the lessons has been key to Doug's success. Dan's availability by phone or text is a game-changer as I don't have to wait until our next scheduled visit to get guidance if new, unexpected and undesirable behavior arises between visits. I called my vet as soon as i got home! My vet suggested I call this particular behavioral trainer she knew and so I did. (It wasn't Jayne). This behavioral trainer told me I should return my dog to breeder. I should never fall asleep with this breed on my bed (Pomeranians) as they could bite my face off. She continued to tell me all these horrible stories abt poms. I was so confused and upset when I hung up. My husband insisted I get another opinion. I found Jayne's info online the next day and called her. She came over same day because she knew how upset I was and she wanted to meet my fur baby. Needless to say, she is amazing! I am so happy I made that call! My pom is now 5 yo and he is fabulous! Sweet, entertaining, and so well-behaved because of Jayne's training!

So cuddos to you guys for this! When you get inside the establishment it's very clean and you can see where stuff is at really quick. Love the choices they have for pet treats. One thing for sure is that they do need more customer service we are here to see about a pet adoption but it seems like they don't want these pets to go to homes. We have been waiting to hopefully hold one to see if I get a reaction from it but still nobody is helping us. Well we have been decline to adopt suki it's okay no worries it was probably not meant to be. How ever we did adopt 2 tabby cats from joybound rescue it was buy one get one we took the brother and sister so we are happy and blessed to welcome 2 new family members I did go back to this store to get my kitty supplies and I'm happy to say that I'm happy with everything I bought. Now I won't drag this I will say it I will continue to go back for all my pet supplies and needs but will not go back for pet adoptions it just seems like they are not thinking of the kittens/ cats for people that want to give them homes. His hair was long, and we specifically like to keep him fluffy. I showed the groomer a photo of the exact style we wanted -- a fluffy "teddy bear" cut -- and clearly stated that if they could not achieve that look, to please keep his hair long. I dropped Benny off at 9:30 a.m. and was told to return in one hour, which is typical for his usual groomer. When I called an hour later (after realizing I had missed my other dog Teddy's appointment and apologizing to the groomer scheduled for both dogs), they weren't even finished with Benny. I assumed the delay meant extra care was being taken. Benny was not ready until 1:45 p.m. -- over four hours later. When my husband picked him up, he looked like a completely different dog. His hair was completely cut off. It looked nothing like the photo I provided and was nowhere near the fluffy teddy bear cut I requested. It was extremely disappointing. What concerns me even more is Benny's behavior afterward. He is almost one year old and has been groomed regularly since he was a puppy. He is normally energetic, confident, and affectionate. When my husband picked him up, he was shaking and visibly nervous. Even two days later, he seems timid and withdrawn -- which is very unlike him. It makes me question how he was treated during those four hours. I understand that grooming salons get busy. However, communication and following clear instructions are basic expectations. I left my dog there trusting he would be cared for properly. This cut cost $110 -- more than the $85 I typically pay at a private boutique groomer who consistently does an excellent job. The quality did not reflect the price. I will not be returning. I only booked here because our regular groomer did not have availability that day. That was a mistake I will not repeat. I've had seven dogs in my lifetime and had never experienced anything like this before. Cavaliers are known for being loving, gentle dogs, so having an 11-pound puppy that I felt nervous around was heartbreaking. I truly wasn't sure Olivia and I would ever have a good relationship again. I was scheduled to travel to Mexico over Christmas but couldn't take her due to her behavior. Brad went above and beyond -- he kindly arranged to pick her up the very night I left on a red-eye flight and enrolled her in a 4-week board-and-train bootcamp. Yes, the program is an investment, but it is absolutely worth every penny. Brad and Camille worked their magic. Olivia came back a completely different puppy -- loving, responsive, and happy. It honestly feels like night and day. I know I still need to do my homework and stay consistent, but just one week after her return, the transformation has been incredible. One thing I really appreciate is the ongoing support. Brad offers unlimited texts and calls for questions and guidance, which has been invaluable as we continue reinforcing her training at home. This also wasn't my first experience with Brad. He was recommended to us years ago when we got our older dog, a yellow Labrador named Bourbon. While Bourbon has always been mellow, Brad helped us with practical training -- including teaching him to jump into my sedan in less than 10 minutes! That stuck with me and is why I trusted him when we needed serious help with Olivia. Brad once told me that good training makes dogs happier, and now I truly understand what he meant. Every now and again Brad's facility will take in rescue dogs who will undergo the full board and train program. I was lucky enough to be able to adopt Tarkin, a a cattle dog mix. I believe he had been under the care of Brad and his team for almost (maybe more?) a year but did not have much like in finding a potential adopter until I saw a post on Instagram and reached out. Right off the bat, Tarkin was very well behaved, knew the basic commands (sit, down-stay, leave it, wait, place, etc). Brad even provided a collar to continue with his training, was responsive via text MONTHS after adoption, and would always offer to come by for a follow-up training session. Fortunately, we have not needed an in-person session, but to be able to continue having him as resource by phone has been amazing and I am so grateful. Brad and Camille (Tarkin's other main trainer) have created such a wonderful foundation of training that I've been able to build off of, even as a new dog owner. Given my experience with Tarkin, I would highly recommend reaching out to Brad and his team about potential rescues available for adoption, or to see what training packages they have to offer. I couldn't have asked for a better first dog!
