Needless to say as a veteran 18 year police K9 Handler, I am very picky and want only the best for my ol' partner, a 16 year old large Black Labrador/MICKY. I needed a place that is patient and kind to this old guy, who served me well searching for explosive odor at DTW Airport back in the day (2014-2018). Anyway, upon arrival I was greeted by hands-on Lucky Paws Owner/Stephine and she and her Team greeted Big MICKY with open arms. I could not have picked a better place for MICKY to stay at. Not only to stay at but be groomed at too. The bottom line, everyone I saw working at Lucky Paws had genuine kindness and a true sense of caring for not only MICKY but for every animal and owner that came into the store. I left there Friday morning knowing MICKY was in the best of hands. When I picked MICKY up Sunday morning, he was in great shape, spirits, and looked and smelled great. As far as cost, it's was money well worth spending for the outstanding services provided by Lucky Paws. This place is a no brainer, if you love your pet and you need boarding, grooming, and good piece of mind that your pet is in the best of care, Lucky Paws is the clear choice to house your pet. As a former Governor of California once said,"I'LL BE BACK!"...and I'll be back too .....to Lucky Paws in Two Rivers, WI when I come back for a Lions vs. Packers weekend.

My little Harley is doing great, they made sure my other Chi's were up to date on shots and they all met to check compatibility. The adoption fee for the Chihuahua was quite steep, ~$200. That alone should prevent someone without $$ from adopting lightly. But cats are cheaper, and for 'farm' cats, even cheaper. I thought everyone was super nice, super helpful, and the pets were clean, and the shelter smelled and appeared very clean. What more do you want? Harley had been neutered while there. As an RN, I was able to remove the sutures myself. No one is perfect, instead of leaving ONE * star, talk to them. Maybe leave 3 stars, it'd be more realistic. They are not bad at all! Never got to meet the vet I requested from day one. My dog had constant UTIs that they diagnosed as…read morethe problem. The day I took her in, I had to sit in the waiting room and never got to see the vet until the end. Once again not the vet I requested.. Signed the paperwork they gave me with the understanding that they would try one thing and wait for the results and then move on to the next and I assumed it was the vet I requested.. If they would of waited for blood test results, they would of seen she had another UTI but they did x-rays instead. The vet who has treated her for other UTIs, not the vet I kept asking for, should of had a clue to what it was. The bill was $512 . I told them that I would pay for the entire bill except for the x-rays because I didn't feel they were needed and that I hadn't wanted the vet I got. Long story short, the vet told me if I didn't pay the entire bill that I wasn't welcome back and that my dog wouldn't get the meds she needed for her UTI. Go back never but I couldn't let my dog suffer any longer so I paid the entire bill. The vet is very cold and mechanical. Never again!!
