I have been seeing Liberty for massage due to my chronic back pain for over a year now and she has improved my life so much! She takes the time to get to know her patients, which makes it easier to relax during the massage. I am normally so uncomfortable having anyone work on my neck, but with her I almost fall asleep! Over the year my back pain has gone down from a 9 to a 5 and Liberty was a bug part of that. She also helped me figure out which muscles were tightening and better ways to describe my pain to my physical therapist, so that I got more out of my care. For my birthday I decided to treat myself and splurge for the wrap she does, and it was AMAZING!! I have never done a wrap before, so I didn't know what to expect, but was happy with the service. It was like being swaddled! She also used a light therapy device on my face while the wrap was going, which felt very high end spa. Liberty is a professional, and that's an understatement. Let's just start from the beginning. I was experiencing pinching pain between my shoulder blades from poor posture working at the desk. I had put it off for weeks, and suddenly needed someone last minute. I felt like I had tried to call everyone. Liberty returned my call, even though I had not left a message. She was pleasant and soothing to speak to. Luckily, she had availability and scheduled the appointment right away. Next was the standard patient intake form. Simple. I received a link on my phone with simple questions and filled it out in a few minutes. No paperwork. Convenient, easy, simple. You may not think that's a big deal...but I appreciate business owners who offer convenience and simplicity. Next, as Lauren P. stated in her review, All People is located in downtown Oregon City, so you may have to pay to park on the street. Her office is located on the second floor and she has clear signage to guide you to her door. Like I said...professional. All the little things were done so well. Once I arrived, I was amped up from the pain, but also from working earlier that day. She slowed everything down, talked me through the process, and asked thorough questions to ensure we were expecting the same type of experience. "What are you hoping to get out of this session?" Again, professional. This wasn't a "where does it hurt" line of questioning. This was a thoughtful, open-ended questioning that allowed me to explain the details of the pain and gave her a complete understanding of where the pain originated from and what I had done to try and alleviate the pain. Then, she took the time to educate me on exactly what was inside my body that was causing the pain and how the pain can travel to other areas. She then went over her plan on the areas she would focus on during our session. One other point...she was excellent at breaking things down into terms I could understand...rather than hitting you up with the therapy terms like...we'll be doing a spurt of craniosacral effleurage and move into a neuromuscular tapotement. There was none of that. One of the phrases she used was "it's going to feel like I'm moving a bag of wet sand around." I mean, genius. How simple, and I immediately understand. The small things. She nailed all the small things. And then the massage...I mean...by now, if all the above were so amazing, I would expect nothing less from the actual massage. Liberty knew exactly what to do. I just let go and she precisely, gradually, meticulously worked through the areas of pain. She's is in tune with YOU during the entire session. She's not going down a checklist. She just absolutely nailed every aspect of this experience, even sharing some of her own experiences as a customer and how that's improved her as a therapist. The massage was absolutely indescribably amazing. Back to the small things...the post-massage breakdown. She went over what to expect that night, the next day, expected soreness, foam roller exercises, and posture tips. She also provided a post-massage goodie bag which included post-massage instructions. Perfection. Yesterday I was literally wincing in pain. Today, although sore, it is 100x better. All people massage is located in downtown Oregon City. Parking is available on the streets. You must pay to park until 5 pm. After 5 pm it's free. When I entered the massage space, I was pleasantly delighted by the calming atmosphere. The massage therapist was very welcoming and asked me if I had a trouble spots to cater the massage to my needs. I was also offered several options to make me more comfortable.
