Currently pregnant, I had searched around for a massage therapist and found that it was hard to find someone who did true bodywork on a pregnant lady (and we need it!). Sanna has a pregnancy massage pillow bolster, which allows you the amazing opportunity to lay on your belly if you so desire. Alternatively, she can you props and pillows for side and back positions. Sanna takes her time to discuss all of my current aches and pains and customizes each session to address what I need that day. Sannalee was a lifesaver for me tonight, so much that I was compelled to write this review as soon as I got home and settled. I have had an unknown shoulder injury for a few months now and because my job requires me to use it, the pain has gotten pretty rough. I was DESPERATE for a massage asap; not like "oh, I could really use some relaxation" but more of a "dear God if someone doesn't put their hands on my shoulder immediately I am going to cry!" situation. She was wonderful enough to come in on a Sunday, despite having no other clients scheduled. She was so kind and made me feel right at home immediately; exactly what I needed! Through the massage she was very intuitive and able to quickly pinpoint quite a few of the spots that hurt the most, but also intently in tune to my bodies response and she encouraged feedback the entire time. I prefer deep tissue work and boy did she deliver; when she says she's strong, she's not kidding! It was perfect! She also did some energy work at the end that was fantastic, I only wish I had more time left as we were just really getting in tune when my time was up. Her space is absolutely perfect. It radiated calm and peace from the reception area to the massage space. The room is incredibly spacious (which I loved, I hate cramped areas and most massage room are quite small) yet still feels cozy and inviting. I really enjoyed that she took her time and actually sat and had a cup of tea with me while going through my health questionnaire and concerns/needs. She was extremely thorough and I really felt that she was truly listening and concerned for my well being. I could not believe the amount of time she took with me prior to starting (20 minutes or so), yet I still received a FULL 90 MINUTE MASSAGE. Yes, you read that right, you actually get the full amount of time you pay for! Which, by the way, is incredibly reasonable and she offers $25 off your first massage! So many LMT's start the clock the second they walk in the door and your intake is either rushed or you get shorted on massage time. Boo on that! I could seriously keep going but this is ridiculously long already. Bottom line is I will definitely see Sanna again and I am incredibly grateful for her tonight. Does my shoulder still hurt? Hell yes. BUT the muscles around the injury that were in terrible condition due to favoring and overuse are now much more relaxed, allowing the injury to rest! Thus, less pain and tension= I will be sleeping much better tonight and for that I am ever grateful! read more

Have been looking for a new bodywork therapist for a couple of years and I think i hit the jackpot! Went to my regular therapist for some help with post surgical pain and tension and he worked on me about 15 min and said that was all he could do with my limitations. Sannalee had lots of tricks in her bag and spent more than an hour and addressed all my concerns even with my post surgical limitations. I already know my review won't appropriately sum up how wonderful my experience was with Sannalee, but I have to try. I recently bought a house in the area and along with some other stressors my body was craving some serious intervention. Thanks to yelp I discovered Sannalee and I am so grateful to all the reviewers out there for convincing me to go! I was a little hesitant at first because I was used to paying cheaper rates at Massage Envy but figured I'd give it a shot, especially considering that she gives you a great discount for your first time. I knew that I'd be getting a much more quality massage, as compared to a chain location, but I feel like I got a complete bargain at Harmony Bodywork! Even from the beginning when I emailed her to set up an appointment I was impressed. She was incredibly responsive and provided multiple options to come in based on my schedule. She emailed me the Health and Injury forms so that I could have them filled out ahead of time and she still spent at least 20 minutes once I got there going through them and getting acquainted over some delicious and comforting rose tea. The atmosphere was perfect and relaxing and the room was spacious and inviting. No feeling cramped there! I mentioned that I suffered from anxiety attacks so she started the session with some wonderful essential oils that had me totally relaxed and in my happy place almost immediately. Originally I had scheduled the appointment hoping to release back tension but then one of my IT Bands and hips had gotten pretty bad over the week so she readjusted to make it more of a therapeutic session. I was so grateful with how in tuned she was with my body's needs. Even in 90 minutes she was able to address almost everything I mentioned. She kept in touch throughout the massage and maintained light conversation without being overly talkative (I always hated it when people seemed to chat away just to fill the silence). Half the time I tried to speak I felt like I was drugged up because of how relaxed I was...and she was doing some pretty deep work! Seriously cannot express my gratitude enough. Afterwards she compared my posture to before we started and I was impressed by not only my increased mobility but the fact that I could literally breathe easier. It was as if I had grown a few inches and a weight had been lifted. My back was practically pain free. My hip still had some pain but I no longer felt like an 80 year old woman when I moved or as if I was about to pull muscle in my groin and hamstring. I slept like a baby that night. I could go on an on, but I'll wrap it up. If your body is in need and there is any way you can afford it then please please go see Sannalee. SannaLee is an incredible massage therapist! I went to her with several athletic injuries; her intuitive practice has made all the difference in my recovery! She has released tons of chronic and painful muscle adhesions which were limiting my physical functionality, stalling injuries, and causing debilitating pain. After one session so much of my pain was gone that I went from being stuck on the couch to getting back in the gym and life.
