And end up homeless after paying for half the stuff and taking care of a $550,000 home right in my own community on Erie Rd where I would walk w my chihuahua and short hair pointer to the park of Roses and back home. I don't know what in the world is going on. I thought this establishment cared about the LGBTQ+ community. It has signs up that says all are welcome. Welp. It's not true! I mean. It's definitely better resources than we get on the West Side. Over here everyone just wants us not to exist in life.

The staff are very friendly and helpful and they are always are willing to help with a smile. I really like the hours. The hours are convenient, and keep in mind the working family. For example, they have early Saturday hours, and two days during the week with one day in the morning and one day in the evening. Therefore, if you work a traditional 9 to 5 you can come after work. The lines are long though! Before COVID-19, we were able to go inside and shop. However, the Hilliard food pantry takes the pandemic very seriously and they converted to a drive-through method. You drive up, give them your information, and they load up your trunk. They do this very quickly but you will be in the line for a bit. There are some days that I come and things are very in and out, about 10 minutes. And there are other days where I'm there for almost an hour in the line. I can tell you that it's worth it. For struggling families, they do so much. Sometimes they have clothes, and shoes as well that have been donated. They even offer assistance during Thanksgiving and Christmas which includes food as well as toys. And the toys are good, they give bicycles almost every year. They also offer utility assistance once a year. The people here are just amazing. I said that already but I think I should say it again. Full disclosure here, I have pretty intense back and hip problems. One time I pulled up onto the line at the pantry, and my hip totally locked up on me. I was already in park but I couldn't lift my foot to the gas pedal. So, I was essentially holding up the line... unable to get out of the way or move forward. I called the pantry and told them the situation. Two women came out to help me! I am appreciative of what the Hilliard food pantry does for my family. Thank you!

The box is brown with a single door and is easily accessible from the street. Inside, three shelves that today were very well stocked with an assortment of non-perishables including canned goods, boxed food and some bottled drinks. There were even a few drinks in here. I feel they go above & beyond the call of duty to help out.I heard that they are looking for a change in their logo & they want it to include the name of the West Ohio Food Bank. So here is my idea & I hope they like it. But before I say my idea, I just want to thank them for all the food they have provided me with. I have plenty to eat now, & I love to cook. I do not always have meat at every meal. I will eat beans & rice & pasta,& whatever they give me I know how to make a good meal out of a little bit of ingredients. I've been volunteering at this food pantry for 6 months as a volunteer shopper. The fourth Monday of every month is my scheduled night to help clients shop for food; if more volunteers are needed, this is the place I always help if I can. Gessica, head of the pantry, has a boundless heart! Yes, stressed out, sometimes overworked, she still has a smile on her face. This non-profit venture could use a few enhancements, such as SPACE! Lots of donations go in and out off PCMA, and they never have enough properly needed space to store supplies and food. I wish them well, as they continue to service more people in the Pickerington area. I'm glad I'm able to volunteer with this awesome org, and dish a fantastic group of people!

This church is breathtaking! Located in historic German Village, it feels like it was taken right…read moreout of a picture book. Just a beautiful, historic location. The church actually had an accident a few years ago (a fire I believe?) and they reopened about 2 years ago. I never saw the Original St. Mary's, but I frequently go to Mass here now. I am a parishioner at St. Catharine's, but I love Fr Vince so much that you can sometimes catch me at a random weekday Mass at St Mary's or the 11a Sunday Mass. Father Vince Nguyen is a fantastic priest. He is really good friends with my pastor, Father Dury and they are a lot alike. His homilies are meaningful, thought-provoking, heartfelt and humorous. I always leave a Mass at St. Mary's feeling invigorated with the Holy Spirit. I have also gone to confession here a few times and once again, Fr. Vince is the best. He takes his time with each penitent and makes you feel loved by God as he discusses Scripture with you and outlines your penance. He has become my go-to confessor (sorry Father Dury--everyone knows it feels weird to go to your "home" priest for confession! Hah!) The interior of this church is something that even non-Catholics can appreciate. The wood fixtures are so fresh and new-- enough to make St. Joseph himself proud! The artwork and statues are ones that I could stare at for hours. It really is breathtaking--everyone should see this! I'd highly recommend St. Mary's as a parish to attend Mass. It's such a special experience each time. Thank you Fr. Nguyen for being such a wonderful priest- the Holy Spirit is on fire in you!
