We needed some snacks before the music festival at Mapfre and this place was at the corner of a nearby plaza. Lots of parking spots here. The employee behind the counter greeted us as soon as we walked in. It's a tiny place but they have lots of chips, candy, beer, and liquor. They take credit card, but charge 40 cents extra for using one. read more

Soussy's is my jam and has been so ever since I stumbled in one night after playing pool next door at Suzie Q's. Soussy's is a lil' urban gem. I love the mom & pop stores and Soussy's is surprisingly well stocked to be one. They have a pretty cool and well curated beer, cider and wine selection for a mom & pop "corner store". Once I was looking for Old Rasputin beer and they had it; another time I wasn't looking for anything in particular and found an amazing chocolate stout! You never know what kind of treasure you'll find in Soussy's fridges and freezers. Their smoking section selection isn't bad either -- interesting enough CBD stash to entice a new smoker or seasoned one into trying a new brand. The staff isn't obnoxiously friendly or fake (I've never been followed around their store). read more

Soussy Market are LIFESAVERS! This is the perfect little grocery to have within walking distance of home. It has a surprisingly wide selection of beer but also non-alcoholic drinks, dairy, dry goods, canned goods- and even some fresh produce like onions! The guys who work the place are very friendly and willing to help you find any specific item in the vast inventory of this small store. Need batteries at midnight? Run over to Soussy. Thirsty? Run over to Soussy. They were there when we needed one more onion on Thanksgiving Day. They literally saved our Thanksgiving dinner. There is no better corner market on campus. Not only do they have everything you could want in an instant, the guy always working the register is very friendly and always remembers me, welcoming me back. I love that there is always Arabic television or popular music on when I visit. There is a surprisingly sufficient amount of micro brewed beer available for a corner store. This is pretty much the only thing that makes soussy market stand out, but it's a worthwhile thing, to be sure. This is a decent corner store - better than most located on campus. The aisles are tiny and there is a constant flux of incoming customers, er college kids grabbing beer. And why wouldn't they just frequent for the beer? They've got a great selection of micro brews and seasonal beer that's reasonably priced. The average 6-pack has run me about $8.99 You can buy some standard groceries here, all marked up for the sake of being convenient. Club Soda will cost you around $2.99, which is just outrageous - but hey, you wanted mixers! Extra star for having cans of Pepsi Throwback for only 50 cents. read more

Love Soussy's Market. I live a block away from this wonderful little shop, and I consider myself lucky. If I'm ever low on groceries and I don't want to find myself in a hectic grocery store, I can always stop here and find a meal for the afternoon. Grab a few frozen meals, some drinks and some chips, and I'm on my way. Not to mention the fact that they have just about everything a guy could need. I need tape, Soussy's I need pong balls, Soussy's I need wine, Soussy's I need soap, Soussy's I need cards, Soussy's The guys that run the shop are also pretty cool, really laid back and chill. Sometimes they will even start up conversations and talk to you and get to know whats up. Which is cool in my book. This family owned business is probably one of my favorite shopping spots. The father works the morning shift and his son's work the day and late night, all in all as a regular costumer, they have always been amazing. They great me every time i walk in, and then we share a short conversation about how each of our day has been, and they are very polite and courteous. All in all i would recommend this place to anyone. They provide everything from liquor, beer, wine, food, and a lot more for a decent price. A+++ for what they have done.
