THey also left her severe gingivitis untreated! THese guys are cow vets trying to make some money off the small animal market and failing the animals in their care! The on call vet followed up with calls the following weeks checking up on how Harvey was doing. The staff at the surgery were all brilliant with Harvey as he had to attend for daily injections after his surgery. I would highly recommend this survey they go out of their way and provide an excellent service.

They are just that in Paws a While. They are so genuinely caring and helpful and they treat the animals so kindly and are so gentle and loving towards them. We had to bring our cat Dora down to get an abscess on her back checked out and the vet, Pat Farrelly, was so gentle with her and made sure she was as calm and comfortable as possible. He offered to keep her in overnight as he wanted to bathe the abscess, which would also save us causing her the trauma of trying to get her back in the cat box and then travelling in the car for the journey home, only to do the same the following day to bring her back in for the appointment. He administrated a pain killer and antibiotic injection so she would not be in pain for the night and would sleep well, all while constantly petting her and making sure she was calm and felt as safe as she could. The staff in Paws a While never fail to make a trip to their clinic pleasant and easy because of their professionalism and positivity. They truly care about their little fluffy patients. I would recommend them 100%.

Tiny was 8 weeks short of his 17th birthday when he took bad at home one Sunday afternoon. When I rang Paul he arranged to meet me 20 minutes later at his clinic. Tiny's heart was barely beating so Paul had to put him to sleep. He didn't want to disturb Tiny so, at my request, he put him to sleep in the car where there was no pain and was very peaceful. Tiny just fell asleep in my arms. I cannot thank Paul enough and would highly recommend him and his staff. Eddie and family.

I'm sure Paul would've done a fantastic job. Unfortunately my kitty turned out to be 3 weeks pregnant already, so Paul had to perform a different type of surgery.. Kitty is still in recovery, but I'm writing the review already. I liked the clinic. Somehow Paul seemed to be a more "genuine" doctor than other vets in Ireland. The clinic is different by itself. Not as pristine and glamorous like some clinics in Dublin. But somehow messy genuine with singing parrot and unusual smells. I plan to rent a car in future again and drive to that clinic for any routine topics. I hope I've found the right place finally. Where "business" is simply a necessary shape of functioning, and the core is way away from that. And btw, they didn't charge me extra for a more complex and unexpected situation. A friendly stray dog had been in our neighbourhood and had fallen into the hands of a sheep farmer who had in fairness brought the dog to CAS but the owner told them that she couldnt take strays..? I had been searching for this dog to ensure its safety and called to CAS where the owner told me a different story that she hadn't room to keep the dog..despite empty 'cells'. The real reason being that the dog had visible tumours/growths & had been neglected by its owners (but in no pain) so it wouldn't be very 'saleable' hence CAS owner told the lady to contact the dog warden so the dog would be put down..I tried in earnest to intervene but to no avail. Animal Sanctuary..what a lie..lucrative business..absolutely. If you want to buy a dog or cat, sure go ahead but be under no illusion that this place is charitable to neglected animals.
