My friend lives in Shelbyville and suggested we eat here today. We went in for lunch and there were only a handful of people in here eating, must have beat the rush. The service was quick at the counter and the staff were very friendly. My friend had the Pulled Pork Sandwich and Mustard Potato Salad. I had the Brisket Sandwich and Cole Slaw. I added the Onions, Pickles and Jalapenos to my order. The food was ready before I could pay for the tab. Self serve soft drink machine was behind us at the check out counter. We got a seat in the dining area, which has some cool decor. I tried a piece of brisket before deciding if it needed sauce. The sliced brisket on my sandwich was OK. Not a lot of flavor, no bark, and about every piece had a heavy sliver of fat. It tasted more like roast beef than brisket. Their BBQ sauce was good and went well on my Brisket Sandwich. The Cole Slaw was the hit of my meal. I would come back but try a different meat next time.
