Trinity was VERY communicative, updating me on Tyler's expected arrival time. Tyler arrived about 2 hours after I made the service request. As it turned out, it wasn't just the spring that was broken. The shaft and bearings were in need of replacement also. Tyler showed me all of the damage and was very friendly, professional and courteous. It took him about an hour to make the repairs. In all, I spent more than the original quote, but that was because of the additional work that was needed. I'm retired Army, so Trinity also gave me military discount. So I called Precision, who has taken care of my garage door since day one here many years ago. They gave me an appointment window of 2-6. Lo and behold the tech (Jesús) called me at 1:35 and was here by 2:05. Long story short, the board on my current motor was on its way out. He offered a few different possibilities for a remedy, and he patiently presented the various scenarios and associated costs. Long story short: we opted for an altogether new motor; the current one was a bit underpowered for the Big Bertha Door we have. All that came with a new programmable keypad, new hardware, and the ability to monitor its status from the ol' smartphone at any time! He also noticed our veteran's license plate and arranged for a 5% vet's discount! So once was all said and done, Jesús (also a vet) showed us how to program the keypad, how to reprogram our cars, PLUS how to install and engage the smartphone app. Beyond that, he also readjusted the springs, lubricated all the hardware and left us some lubricating oil! I've never had a bad experience with these folks and today was a ROCKSTAR experience. Jesús was very polite, friendly and professional. He truly went out of his way to make us comfortable and happy with our transaction. All of this even happened on January 1st, when so many other businesses would just be closed. Regardless, this last service was originally meant to be for maintenance and programming a remote for one of the doors and Paula and Alex continually found things to upcharge with some of the other doors in the building. The most unfortunate thing was they clearly worked on a door that was specifically excluded (it's just used as storage) and Alex used it as the main door he worked on and charged me for. They also left three other doors in non-operating condition (all were working previously). They seriously dug their heels in when I tried to get them to come back and correct their mistakes and have generally been unscrupulous. I would not recommend them, and would hope they improve their communications and level of service.
