I LOVE having the option to be there in person when I'm not travelling or busy, OR listen to Pastor…read moreJudahs sermons online. He leads a solid growing church founded in good biblical theology. I guess you can say Pastor Judah reads his Bible well. Additionally, I have been apart of the City Church since 2009 and couldn't imagine going anywhere else...(have gone with friends to their churches and they've ended up switching to city more often than not). I have been blessed to meet an ever growing community of AWESOME truly happy people that are more encouraging and genuine than I have ever experienced before. This all despite what season good or bad that they may be in the midst of!!!! I recently switched to this campus as I felt it was a better fit for Young Professionals than the University Campus was... as well as its closer to where I recently move--in Ballard.. Super fun loving environment!!! I can comfortably and confidently give this church my seal of approval if you're looking for a sanctuary and church to call home the Seattle area... multiple campus' across the city!!! Anyone and everyone is welcome with no judgement whatsoever! This church has more heart and service than anything ive ever seen...its inspiring! I would suggest this church for anyone looking for a seeker sensitive gospel focused on who Jesus is and the love of God/how that applies to your life!!!! Multi ethnic and friendly for people of all types, shapes, colors, and sizes. Located smack in the middle of the University Greek System at UW. Parking is rough but where isn't it in Seattle!?:) Last 2 cents, check out some of the sermons on their website or youtube if you're hesitant... definitely worth checking out!!!!

The focus is on knowing and following Jesus and helping each other on the way. The leadership is solid and pastor Judah is as real as they get not a perfect man but a Godly one.

Wow, free parking . Thanks God!…read more I'm sure you'll pass the hat for a $20 before I exit the premises. Prayer is free people and the relationship is with GOD not a church seeking funding for tax free shelter. What would Buddah have to say about this matter.

So, I checked out Seattle First Church back in 2006. I wanted to go to an inner-city church since…read moreI lived close-in on Queen Anne hill at the time. I was impressed totally by the openness, honesty and hope that I perceived from the congregation. I didn't sense any pretense or superficiality in the welcome I received, but more importantly, I sensed genuine hope and care between the people there. It was totally refreshing, especially when living in an urban environment where sometimes people are distant or removed. They cared, and they showed it, as I noticed from their homeless outreach program. I joined the choir in the fall of 2007 (tenor section rules!) and found a home with the choir. Great music, and fun people to be around made the experience a lot of fun! The most sincere and beautiful outpouring of this group, and the choir in particular, came about in the spring of 2008 when they supported my partner and me so warmly before and after he passed away in April '08 at only 37 years of age. Their care, prayers, and presence was more beautiful than words can explain. So, I became a member of the curch (officially!) on October 19, 2008 and haven't turned back since! I've found additional ways to explore my faith by joining a Bible study group, and am participating on committees/teams that help get things done by serving the congregation and our neighbors. Who would have thought I'd get this involved with church??!! :) To me, First Church is a refuge in a busy city, a safe place to find out more about who I am and to learn how I can make a positive difference in the world around me.
