This private campground is located right on Lake Michigan and is quite small compared to some of the state parks we're used to. But it was a lovely spot! We got two of the three rustic sites for a couple of nights recently. Checking in was easy and the guy in the office was really nice. The three rustic sites are surrounded by electric hookup sites, and there are vault toilets nearby. Or you can walk down to the playground area and use the restrooms there. The two rustic sites were huge and we had plenty of space. It was quiet at night and very family friendly. Dogs are allowed as long as they are leashed and not too noisy. My favorite part of the campground is the beach access - you can go down the stairs near the playground or drive over to a parking lot if you want to skip the stairs. We went to the beach several times during our stay and loved it - soft white sand, large beach, and it wasn't ever crowded. Lake Michigan was pretty chilly but we still jumped in. The vault toilets weren't the worst I've ever experienced, and the bathroom facilities were decently clean. We had so much fun at this campground!

Natural conflict between the locals and "outsiders". Hope the Township eliminates the seasonal option and increases prices. Ludington business would benefit from turnover on the premium sites. This place could be the crown jewel of the eastern shore.
