It was perfect. So clean and pretty. There is a community fire pit that the camp hosts light every night. One of the camp hosts even came down and played awesome guitar for us one evening! The camp hosts are some of the nicest people you will meet. Fresh coffee every morning as well. These are empty cabins so bring everything, sheets pillow, blanket, etc. They have charcoal grills you can pull over to your cabin. I would recommend a foam bed topper, the beds are quite uncomfortable, I think that would help. There is a playground for the kids, picnic tables at your cabin too. We didn't go in the water because it was FREEZING, but many brave people did. Highly recommend. We will be back!!!

The beds and pillows were clean and comfortable. We would have booked a waterfront but there were harmless flying bugs EVERYWHERE (everywhere where there was water in MI not just the Beach House) and they weren't as bad at the front road cabins. Apparently, there are a couple weeks in the spring when these bugs migrate and fly and they only live for a day or less. They did not bother me in any way. The staff was amazing. I don't recall his name but he has worked there for years. He was so helpful with info on the shuttle and ferry to Mackinaw Island and he was kind. The owners better not lose him!

The site itself included a cute self serve coffee station and a well maintained walking path to a pretty view on the water. Our room was very clean. There was not any spot to set/store clothes, no fridge, small bathroom and the tv did not allow for any streaming/was outdated. If you are not planning to spend a lot of time in your room, this is a great stay. We did not hear our neighbors, there was a pool also. It is also within walking distance to the lumberjack show (which we did not go to but is a good location).

My boyfriend actually surprised me and proposed to me under the stars on this sweet little beach! It was perfect! This place also has a nice outdoor in ground pool. It's also really close to everything by like 5 to 10 minutes.
