Two years to get our Oryx mount. July 2016 - July 2018. Horrible customer service! We were told the…read moremount might take around 12-14 months but not 2 years? The wait was not even the real problem however. When we simply tried to call after the estimated time had passed and only to just ask where we were in the rotation, all we got was silence aside from an automated message saying please do bother them because it would pull them away from working on mounts. I thought.... ok not a problem. A couple more months went by, so we tried to call again leaving voice mail messages. We emailed them. We also messaged them on Facebook. Still not even the curtesy of a reply. After several more weeks passed I began to think they were out of business and kept all the payments I had made to them previously. Or they lost our mount or all kinds of other things as you might expect? This time I called and indicated I would do a charge back on my credit card if they would not reach back to me. We finally got an email. Here is just part of what they told us: "I understand that the estimated completion dates are tentative, they are not guaranteed and subject to seasonal demand and other factors. Please refrain from calling to check the status of your order as this restricts L.I.T.s ability to concentrate and complete projects. L.I.T will notify you immediately upon completion." Answering status calls and even taking time to send this email takes time away form working on someone's order." It was an obvious a cut and paste email they must be sending to everyone else but at least it was something to let me know they were still in business. I find it hard to believe in this day of automated triggered email, 2-minute phone calls, or creating a web site that nowadays takes about 2 hours, that they could not have some method to keep customers apprised of what is going on rather than rude messages telling people to leave them alone?? Their quality of work is good but nothing more or less than what we have seen from many other taxidermists? There are many other Taxidermist that people can use, and the quality is just as good as this place. And they are much faster! In fact, we took in two deer mounts to another location the following year after dropping off our lasting impressions mount and still got those mounts before this one? Everyone should look elsewhere and avoid this place!
