There is also a beautiful waterfall on the waterfall terrace. I met with Susie and learned more about the packages they offered I ended up going with a 8 hr package to get the full wedding experience. The all inclusive nature of the packages was perfect for me as I am not a planner and the price was well worth it. I booked in September 2024 and had my wedding in November 2024. I was worried about it being pretty stressful because it was such a quick planning period, but Sherill and Susie sent over documents of things I needed to pick out such as flowers, colors, cake design, seating arrangements, music, and all the little details that make up your wedding day over email. So many things I would have not have thought of. We met once for 3 or 4 hrs to go over and plan the whole wedding based on the emails and had a quick 15 min phone conversation to finalize any last minute details a few weeks before the wedding. The day went so perfect especially for the amount of time we had to plan. I am extremely happy on how it all turned out. Sherill and her team did absolutely incredible on our wedding day. From the flowers to the cake, the team made all my pinterest pins a reality. I definitely recommend this place for a stress free experience wedding planning. I received so many compliments on the environment as it was so beautiful.

Whether it is your first wedding or you are remarrying (as I did) this is a perfect option. You can be as involved with the planning process as you want, or you can alleviate a lot of stress and let them plan most everything. Due to us working full time and having a toddler we personally needed to have someone else do most of the planning, so I took a huge leap of faith and let them handle everything. However, as the time grew nearer I wanted to get more involved and Sarah didn't flinch at all. I could text/call her with a ton of questions and she'd either call or text me back right away and she ALWAYS took care of anything that I would suddenly throw out last minute, while also making me feel better about all the choices we made even if it meant putting more pressure on her. PJ was also amazing to work with. She handled the rehearsal and the day of the wedding, making things happen while also taking care of me and my family and friends. We decided that we wanted to leave earlier than expected and she somehow got the limo to us magically, but she immediately had a back up plan if for some reason she could not get them to us at the new (and very last minute) time. As far as vendors that the Chapel used....Bubba's Catering managed the food and it was so great. We deviated from our package and Sarah worked with the caterer to get us a buffet that came with 2 meats, a couple of veggies, salad and bread all for a very reasonable price. I cannot remember the names of the companies that the cake and flowers came from but the cakes were delicious and the flowers (especially on the arch outside) were gorgeous. Gari-Ann Photography did the pictures and she was wonderful with everyone and didn't waste time so we could get to our rehearsal. One last thing, our wedding was outside on May 25th and it was a record high of 96. Due to the way the trees canopy over the area where people sat and where we stood, it did not seem like 96...it was perfect! Truly I could go on and on about Chapel on the Mountain. It was the best decision we made for our wedding, and I/we highly recommend them!

The people who run it painted such a hospitable picture of what our event would be like. With such a beautiful venue the owner's of this property were far from hospitable during our event. We had to buy extra hours to go to the venue the day before the wedding to decorate, and it was about 50 degrees inside the place and no one would turn on the heat for us. The next day at the wedding we got there again 3 hours before to finish decorating and take the wedding photos, and again with over 5 requests that the heat be turned on for us the owner's answer was, " once your guests arrive and there are 200 people in here it will be warm enough". Ok, great, but what about the 30+ family members who were there to help facilitate the wedding while freezing our tails off for 3 hours?! We had the placed booked until 10pm, and had to have everything and everybody out by then, and at 7:15pm the owners started putting pressure on us to take down all the decorations and get them out of there on time. The owner's were giving us the stink eye half the time standing around watching us as if we were going to steal the wood off the barn. I know from my years of experience with the hospitality industry that this family who owns the place has a lot to learn about taking care of the guests who pay their bills. The place is ran by a family of four. The whole group of them acted like we were an inconvenience to them as if they had an event the next day that was more important then ours. Our bride was very close to tears with the stress of pushing her guests out the door when we had over 2 hours left that we paid for. I think for the money we paid we could have had our event at a venue who knows what hospitality is. Instead our family is left with a bitter taste knowing that we didn't get what was promised to us. I hope that this review will help other Brides/Grooms and families make the right decision to not have their wedding at this venue. There are plenty of other places out there and sorry to say I will remember this day not by the beautiful wedding that we had, but by the fact that the people in charge of making it special could care less about our family or guests. The owner's need to do a crash course in how to treat their guests and make sure there are no misunderstandings, shortcomings, or stink eyes flying around the place when we are trying to enjoy our special day.

It literally was just a venue. It took a lot of work, planning and manpower from the groom's side to transform the ceremony and reception areas into what there were. The chandeliers inside are large wagon wheels, with beautifully draped clothed lights running from the wheels throughout the ceiling of the barn. The décor inside is very rustic chic, which is great for any type of weddings. The wedding I was in used navy, sunflowers, and burlap which the entire venue complemented. The venue offers a storage room full of goodies that customers can use to help decorate the venue. We were able to use a few of the easels as well as some signage for the wedding. There is a beautiful bridal suite in the front of the venue, this is absolutely perfect for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready for the big day. There are 5-6 areas with its own mirror and outlets that someone can set up and start getting ready for the day. The area is air conditioned and very relaxing and beautiful. There is a private bathroom as well as an area in the suite for the bride to put on her dress. The men have an area upstairs in the groom's loft with a pool table, and TV which is thoroughly enjoyed by the guys. You can look over the banister to see the entire floor of the venue which is perfect for wedding photos. Outside of the venue there is a covered pavilion with an outdoor fireplace which is beautiful to get married in front of. That is where my friends were married and the seating for the ceremony can be wooden benches or white chairs. The benches were perfect for the look my friend was going for. There is also a beautiful outdoor area that is draped with lights down close to the pond. It is beautiful especially at night or sunset hours for pictures. The venue is beautiful and the flow of the venue was peaceful. The wedding was absolutely beautiful, and hopefully I will be able to attend another event there or be in another event.

Pay more it's worth it. You are watched by the owners of this place all night the one watching us was not a nice lady. She gave the caterer a hard time and during clean up gave us a hard time and never once lifted a finger to help. This wedding was paid for by my daughter and her now husband again it was beautiful but be very careful. You may think you are saving money going this route I do not believe you are. Depends on the value you put on your time. Go this route get a wedding planner to at least take that stress off your back but then in the Huntsville area there are not many good ones around.
