They have a lot of items available for a cheap price, and it doesn't all look like it's going to break the second or third time you use it. There is a huge range of vases, photo frames and kitchen items especially. So again, it's similar to shops like The Reject Shop but it actually looks like it's looked after and that people don't feel guilty walking in there.

This is an op shop that's more than just an op shop…read more I'm incredibly impressed with the ethic of ADRA Op Shops. This one in particular. There is a wealth of goods to buy from here--electrical, furniture, books, toys, pet things, clothes, bric-a-brac--and they also sell non-alcoholic wines and their own honey. But what really impressed me was that they have food for free for those who are in need. By the front door is a large rack, and in that rack, on the day we visited, were bags and bags of fruits and vegetables--all free. We were told that sometimes there are loaves of bread or boxes of eggs or tins of food, all provided by ADRA's staff for people who really need it. I thought this was just terrific, and really showed how important it is for these organisations to exist, to help those people who are in need and may not know how to access supports or have trouble accessing supports. The range of goods on sale too, was great. I did very well here, grabbing a set of 8 etched glasses made in France, and a couple of paperbacks. My friend bought a few items as well. There's a cafe in the shop too, and a bathroom, which can be essential sometimes, on those long, happy op shop days. The shop is just behind the biggest Bunnings in the north, and the staff are friendly, pleasant and polite. Prices are good, and overall, the atmosphere was terrific. Will definitely visit again.

Instead, you just have to walk through the whole shop to get lucky and come across your thing unless you don't mind asking the shop assistant each time. It's a reasonable range of products there, prices are good, similar to cheap as chips prices. The only drawback was the not-so-good environment in the small shopping centre where this shop is located - kinda unsafe in general - kinda empty, not much foot traffic, and once I heard and saw people brawling with each other there in that shopping centre while people were standing watching. Afterwards, through a chat with one of shops' owner, I learnt that swearing and brawling happens almost everyday, no big deal at all.

Located in the new homemaker centre in Gepps Cross I honestly don't even bother looking in the others because I know I'll find what I like here for my budget. Being young and ready to move out of home soon, I've been gathering bits and pieces. I got a full solid wooden queen bed here with a beautiful mattress (I like quality so it was a nice soft one), for only $1500 with 2 bed side tables with draws which I thought was great. They deliver to your house as well which is handy, seeing as my car won't fit a queen mattress in the boot obviously. The staff are a little busy almost all the time so be prepared to wait around a bit or go hunting for someone, and they aren't too knowledgeable so I always go there with a certain thing in mind and research myself.

As they didn't call before which was the two…read morehr call but they gave me a half hr before which was fine so I got there ok with the kids in the end ..... They delivered me some Fiji furniture which is gorgeous all turned up wrapped perfectly however one chair was definitely dropped prior to delivery as turned up with a chunk out of it and warped ...,called and spoke to faith who sorted this immediately and assured delivery the next morning which surprised me ..... Had a phone call later that night confirming delivery for next morning .... Didn't come in the morning hubby called store and they assured me afternoon which yey happened in the end , not faiths fault think just communication problems with drivers and logistics but overall great product great price not unwrapping til I get to my final destination next week but store said any problems to let her know ASAP and they would sort , so overall a great store to do business with , helpful , friendly , just tweak deliveries more and yr there !!! I didn't even know the Parabanks Shopping Centre existed till I found myself up in Salisbury for…read morethe first time as part of their Social Media Day. The centre is a lot like most suburban shopping centres, if not a little bit outdated, but there was plenty there. It's pretty big, with two major supermarkets, a Big W and a Harris Scarves. There are plenty of other specialty stores, mostly chain stores rather than local small businesses. It really just feels like the centre could do with a bit of sprucing up, and perhaps a proper food court (unless I missed that one) but it certainly looks like a handy centre if you live nearby.

Those shops are the main places that I go if I need to buy something cheap. There's also a post office and a Harris Scarf. There's also other clothing shops inside but I never buy any clothes from the shops because they're too expensive... and I'm more of an op shop kinda gal. There's places inside to have a bite to eat (I like the sushi bar.) I've heard that they're going to renovate Parabanks and I can't wait for that to happen.
