Highly recommend!…read more Our house came with two gas fireplaces controlled by wall switches. Over the years they became less and less reliable. I called Fireplace Center and made an appointment to (I thought) get an estimate. Steve arrived on time, asked some questions, and went to work. I was a bit surprised not getting an estimate first, but when he said he could fix them for the price of a service call--$139--I was happy to let him do it. Steve found the problems with each fireplace and fixed them quickly. He also cleaned the glass fronts of each one, replaced the glowy wooly stuff underneath the logs, and put everything back together. Now everything works. And Steve was really nice about it all.

The Fireplace Center initially sold and installed 2 ventless gas inserts for me. They told me "some…read morepeople object to the smell." Well, heck yeah. Gas is being pumped into the room. The smell was the least of it...we got headaches and felt terrible. Those things should be illegal everywhere, not just in California! Anyway, that rant aside...they removed the ventless inserts and replaced them with the vented type, at no additional cost for the installation. (The gas lines themselves were installed by a plumber). All was well with them...until I started smelling gas. In retrospect I should have called the Fireplace Center first, but instead I called the plumber. They charged me $125 for the service call and to correct the problem, the cause of which was that the crew for the Fireplace Center hadn't tightened the seals properly during the installation. So why am I giving the Fireplace Center 5 stars? Because they promptly forked over the $125 I paid the plumber. Most companies would say I should have called them and given them the chance to fix it themselves. Most companies would have refused to pay that bill. Anyone can make a mistake, but the Fireplace Center stands behind their work and has really exceptional customer service. Thanks guys!

The project included help with design and scope, bidding the project, selecting subcontractors and materials, and the actual construction. Bailey & Weiler worked with me up front to control costs and keep the scope in my budget. We had no cost overruns during the project, and came in slightly below the original budget. The quality was first class--a true high-end project. I strongly recommend Bailey and Weiler!

We appreciated each step of the remodel process as the team from Bailey and Weiler were respectful of our budgetary requirements and offered options that met our mutual goals for design. The team listened and supported us through personal planning sessions where we never felt rushed and always felt heard. A remodel would normally be a miserable experience when you are living in the home at the time of construction; however, the team at Bailey and Weiler made intentional planning decisions to respect our situation and honor our space and time. The individuals with whom we worked with became friends who we missed once the process was completed! We love our new space and I still catch my breath when I open the door into our "new" home. I still can't believe we have the opportunity to live in this beautiful and functional space that is all a direct result of the design and build process that was led by our dear friends at Bailey and Weiler. Bailey and Weiler genuinely care about your construction or remodel and work tirelessly to ensure that the end result is breathtaking! We couldn't be happier and are so thankful to each member of the Bailey and Weiler team.

They were caring and compassionate and worked incredibly hard to help us. Again, thank you to the crew for the assist! Will definitely use and recommend again as needed.

I have to give 3 stars out of 5 for my experience with Fire Dawgs, however if I could give 10 out…read moreof 10 stars for the actual gentlemen who came to the job, I would. They were very polite, friendly, hardworking and apologetic. Now my reasoning for the 3 stars. I scheduled my pick up online the week before for a Thursday pickup. I had a follow up phone call from a AI representative, which was a very frustrating experience. Also, I had a follow up text from Alex, who said he was the president. He confirmed the appointment and asked me to send photos of what needed to be picked up, so they knew how to plan for my pickup. I sent at least 15 photos of several pieces of large furniture and other items. This was for a clean out of my father's house. I had cleaners coming the following day and need everything out for them. I also had our realtor coming on the following Monday to take photos, I also would be returning to my home in Columbus, Ohio (my father's house is in Indiana). Fast forward to the day of my appointment. My scheduled window time was 1:30 - 4:30 p.m. I received a phone call around 3:00 p.m. from the actual hauler saying they were at least 2 hours behind and that I would get another call when they were on their way. They finally made it to my house around 6:30 p.m. I showed them everything it the house that needed to be taken and they told me they wouldn't be able to take it all that day. They were never shown the pictures I sent and they were overbooked on jobs to complete in one day. The dump was already closed and they were only able to take what they had room for in their truck, which they came already at least 1/2 full. They called for another driver to come and he had a little bit of space in his truck, but it was already mostly full. Initially they said they could come back first thing in the morning, but after talking with their manager, they said they wouldn't be able to come back until Monday morning. Well, I had cleaners coming at 9:00 a.m. the day after the appointment that I could not reschedule, so that meant I had to clean up after that. Also, I had to reschedule my realtor for Wednesday instead of Monday. Soooo, Monday was scheduled for the 10:30-1:30 p.m. time slot. Fast forward to Monday, the crew did not show up until around 4:30 p.m. The truck was already partially filled with someone else items. They couldn't load and dump and return because, again, the dump is only open until 5:00 p.m. So they loaded up as much as they could in the truck, took it to their warehouse and returned for a second load. They still couldn't get everything on the second load, so they had to come the next day for a third time. They showed up on time that day and finally took everything. Shout out to Isaiah who did what he could. I ended up missing 2 more days of work for this and spent a fortune on it. *** If you are the owner or manager of Fire Dawgs please reevaluate how you are scheduling your employees for pick ups. It is very disrespectful to the client's time and also very hard on the employees as they are very overbooked and overworked.***

Loren's eye for detail and ability to supplicate this with those he works with sets him apart from other builders. The team he works with are all individuals that are the best at what they do. The culture at Loren Wood is one of support and quality work in an encouraging atmosphere. Talking to someone who is employed there, you can tell they like their careers. I would rather have someone happy working on moisture sensitive areas than someone just pulling a paycheck. They are knowledgeable and have been picked not just for their skill but because of their attitude and emotional intelligence. That is a rare commodity, these days, for a business. I've known Loren and his wife for several years, I know quite a few of his staff, and had them work on my house. I can attest that he and his crew will do what is right and stand behind their work.
