Our metal chimney chase cover had rusted and allowed water to go down the chase to our subfloor without us knowing the problem was occuring. John made several trips down a rope ladder into the chase taking pictures within the chase and taking pictures of the rotting and molded subfloor from within the crawl space. John was able to save our firebox, replace the subfloor and the chimney chase cover.
