The vet techs are so sweet and make sure our dogs are well cared for. They call to follow up and check on the pups after a procedure. Very thoughtful. Dr. Camp is beyond wonderful. She isn't annoyed by questions and explains procedures so they are easy to understand. Our dog has Addison's Disease and Dr. Camp makes sure it stays properly managed. The hospital is clean and well maintained. Prices are fair and we always get an estimate so we aren't surprised by the costs. Highly recommend Boones Creek Animal Hospital!

Everyone gets defensive if you ask anything about your pet or your pet's condition. Sometimes you can talk to other vets and realize that there were mistakes made by taking them here. One girl at the front was very rude, has no manners, and has odd erratic behavior when dealing with the public. I deeply regret bringing my pet there, but I also know that in the future I will be making better decisions.

He has a known history of IBD, and the medication prescribed may have triggered an IBD flare. I returned during urgent care hours and later came back again so my cat could be sedated for bloodwork and X-rays. At that visit, I was told that Dr. Al was out sick, and I therefore saw Dr. Mackenzie. Bloodwork and X-rays were performed. Only one X-ray was taken, but I was charged for a two-view study. Within a few hours after sedation, my cat developed a urinary obstruction and required emergency hospitalization at outside facilities, resulting in over $5,000 in emergency care costs. Dr. Mackenzie was the treating veterinarian during these visits. After the bloodwork and X-rays came back normal, there was no clear plan discussed for next steps, and my cat was going to be discharged without one. I asked about trying a different prescription diet and another medication I had read about, which she did prescribe. I was uncomfortable being referred to as a "helicopter parent," and later seeing a note in the medical records that felt dismissive. Due to these concerns, I sent a text message requesting to speak with one of the hospital's owners. I did not receive any response to that request. I later contacted the hospital to request that a medication be sent to a compounding pharmacy. The request was made on Wednesday, 2/4, and I was told someone would follow up. I did not receive a call until 2/10, nearly a week later. By that time, I had decided to transition my cat's care to another veterinarian. I hope this feedback is helpful for improving communication, continuity of care, and follow-up for future clients.

She is very realistic and cost conscious. She is firm about her personal limits but always has great suggestions for where to go if she doesn't provide the service. When we had to euthanize 2 of our dogs, she and her staff were awesome. With Abby, we were in to pick up medicine monthly. I was struggling with when the right time to say enough. She sat and talked with me and cried with me. Over 2 years with our dog with painful arthritis, crippling anxiety, and dementia, she stepped up treatment and always focused on her comfort. I have so many stories about the great care including dental and then referral to UT for specialist dentist. We feel like they love our dogs and care for our family.

She turned 19 that day and unfortunately had to be put down due to her declining health. They allowed me to say goodbye to her and I stayed during the procedure so she would know she was not alone. This is the worst Vet care I have ever been given. $1500 ACL surgery and would not even provide a…read morecone to keep my dog from licking her wound after surgery. The office manager is rude and I had to beg to talk to a Vet when I picked up my dog from surgery. As you can see from the photos below... they were letting her destroy the wound site. It was red hot and infected! As she sat there and I watched her lick it, I asked the tech for a cone...all the animals I have ever had in surgeries were given one ...they said they had them but could not provide one! They said go to Pet Smart. Seriously? They never told me before and could have let me borrow one until I had time to get to Pet Smart... I even explained that I had to work that day.... I told them I would never be back. After reflecting I realize that this is a bad Vet Clinic- receptionists are overworked and not friendly at all. The office manager treated me terribly and worse than that they treated My dog like they were ashamed of her because she is not purebred I guess. I will never go back there and I told them so. Then they had the audacity to say they fired me as a client! Good riddance. I talked to some other folks that said this Clinic has declined in the last year or two and they are also leaving.
