I'm not sure if this can be seen publicly. However, I hope it is. It is absolutely absurd that the owner is going to all the bad comments saying "I can confirm they were never here" in order to justify themselves. Not only is that bad business dealing, it is also a display of character (not owning up to their mistakes). Hopefully, they can learn to do better and stop cutting up all these beloved pets, making them bleed, doing incorrect cuts (after being told in detail how it should be), rude staff, and the poor waiting conditions. Was traveling through Johnson City and my dachshund mix needed her nails trimmed. I found it very hard to find any place that had available appointments so I thought I would give Grooming Tails a chance as they take walk ins for nails (cash only). I was met by a woman and two men who were very nice. No waiting. One of the men took my dog in and was finished in less than five minutes. Her nails were nicely trimmed. She hates having her nails done but appeared to be no problems with my pup. She was also given a treat on the way out which made things even better for her! I called to book a face feet Fanny for my toy poodle for $30 , when I got there I told the cashier and groomer I wanted only the face feet and Fanny done cut short . My son was with me and heard my instructions as well. When I went to pick him up he was shaved all over one length ! My toy poodle he looked like a rat and still stunk like he hadn't been bathe either. Then they charged me $50 for a full groom , that I was forced to pay. The cashier said oh well looks like he got a summer cut. The groomer did apologize but I shouldn't have to pay extra for their mistake. I have told them I wanted his legs longer on his full groom visits there , we been there 3 times so I know the difference between a full groom and a face feet and Fanny. I spoke with Beth the owner on phone she was very rude saying what did I expect my 15 year old dog to look like !! And said it was both our fault (the groomers and I ) she would only give 10$ refund or to come back for $20 off the next service, no thanks I'm not bringing my dog back there. I will be disputing with my credit card. read more

The way they cut my dogs hair did not go at all with the breed that she is. There were chomps taken out around her face and her nails were all chipped and badly cut. Horrible experience definitely would not recommend this place. read more

I'm only giving the second star because they were super nice. But the way the keep the animals is very horrible.. My baby was a nervous wreck when he got out of the stacked crate that they store the animals in.. and the haircut my poor pup came back with was the worst!! read more

I took my little baby there she's a Malteses and poodle mix and I told them I just wanted her cleaned up but they took everything off !!!!!! Our favorite groomer referred us to grooming tails since she is not currently working due to health reasons. I was nervous to take my pups anywhere different. Neesha took care of us and she did a great job. Everyone was nice and friendly. Both pups looked super cute and were cut exactly how I had described. We will be returning here. read more

Grooming Tails is one of the best, if not THE best grooming shop in Johnson City, and I've checked them all out. This is the only shop I will let groom my dog. They ask what you want done, and then that's how they groom your dog. read more

I don't even want to give this place one star because this place is the worst grooming salon I have ever been too. If you love your puppies do not take them here. They cut my poor baby to death. He is bleeding and so red and barely has any hair left. I can't believe people could do that to a puppy. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE! read more
