Big Five?Googoo car wash knowingly overcharged me $19.00 (rounded up) every month for six months, after they reduced their rates in January 2024. I did not know that the rate was reduced until I spoke with a carwash tech at the carwash six months later in June 2024. At my request the tech showed me the details of my account on the company's computer showing the six month period that I was intentionally overcharged.  I tried several times to resolve the matter with Big Five the owners of Googoo car wash via phone and email. I requested a credit for the previous six months, which I thought was a reasonable request, because I would be refunded due to their error, and I would continue being their customer. Take Five countered my offer saying that" they will given me credit for one month's car wash, and that they have no obligation to refund with they overcharged me. Take Five's perspective was it was my responsibility to change my billing plan. Which is absurd since I did not know there was a price reduction until six months later.  However, I have read other complaints on the BBB review site regarding Big Five from other consumers who experience my same situation and TakeFive issued them a refund after contacting the BBB. Currently Take Five/Googoo Car Wash has a "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau. Take Five according the the BBB has had "538 complaints closed in last 3 years 312 complaints closed in last 12 month." I filed a complaint with the State Of Alabama Attorney General's Office who contacted Take Five corporate office. According the the AG's office Take Five stoned walled them for several days initially denying that they had received a request for information from them and then they claimed that the had problems opening up the file that the AG sent them. In the end they said that posted signs at the car wash stating their price change however no such signs exists and I have taken pictures of the car wash to prove it. They actually have no prices pointed on their location the only listing of the prices is locate the touch pad screen when entering the car wash to purchase a single car wash or to purchase an ongoing membership. Please stay away from the unethical fraudulent car wash. To add insult to injury they are still trying to bill me for services after I told them to terminate my account. I use my cash app to pay miscellaneous bills and fund it accordingly.

I pointed this out to staff and requested that I be allowed to go thru wash again, presented my receipt, and did this within 1 day. Staff refused and insisted I pay to go thru again. I paid for a second wash, with same problem. Staff was advised. No refund was offered. No premium service provided. Since equipment to clean hood and trunk are not working, AVOID this business.

Soapy spots always left on rear view mirrors because the air blower never gets to it. I bought a ONE TIME (let's be clear-NOT one of their recurring plans)....it was a Winter Wash plan for $50 set to expire at a particular date. 3.5 weeks layer they charged my debit card for $49.95 without any kind of written agreement, notice , warning, email, text or anything. Furthermore, the one-time purchase didn't mention that anything would renew. However, they charged the card $49.95. Wha's even stranger is that they have no product that costs $49.95 ANYWHERE!. They make it nearly impossible to contact anyone at their company to resolve such issues...I call this theft myself...you make your own mind up. The only way to contactbanyone supposedly (and if you can find the website...is to use some useless, non-operational chat feature on a website called managemycarwash.com . The chat feature is .... surprise surprise not operational as I write this. I believe they intentionally make this process so customer unfriendly that they retain a lot of money they don't deserve. According to the previously mentioned website: "Please know that customers' banks update credit card information with our third-party credit card processing company if a customer does not update it themselves. This is not an act of Mammoth Holdings, LLC. Attempting to allow a recurring plan to "expire" is not recommended, as the credit card on file will likely update itself via the issuing bank. The only way to discontinue an Unlimited Wash Club Membership is to visit the car wash's website and complete a discontinue form request (managemycarwash.com)." Which....puts you right back around the circle to how do I actually contact someone. I am simply left with closing down my bank account and changing banks. Screw them. Whether all of this is by design (my opinion) or my sheer laziness...I can not recommend Marc-1 or any other car wash brand of Mammoth Holdings (which has a Better Business Bureau rating of F ).
