I couldn't believe how they transformed our home (we are downsizing not dying!) into what looked like a fabulous 3 story antique mall! I felt the pricing was quite fair. Buyers enjoyed the ladies. We were not there at all during the set up and sale which was great. Our goal was to clear out the clutter to sell our home. We did make some money $3000 - but in hindsight I might have donated things instead of done an estate sale because we didn't have many valuable items and I worked so hard before the ladies even came to try to price and organize many many items. However even donating items is a lot of work! Downsizing, if you are collectors and pack rats is hard. Do it while you have the strength! At least 2/3 of our items were sold. Huge help. Keep In mind that furniture can be the hardest thing to sell unless you can easily cart and carry it. These ladies are in my opinion the best in the Denver area!

I have read several of the comments and I agree with the negative points. I have been to 2 of…read moretheir estate sales. On the first one, I did see that they were slow, the second time same thing. This last time it took about 40 min to get inside the door and wait time at checkout was about 40 min. The head lady at checkout is the owner I assume. She yelled out several (3-4?) times to the front door keeper "don't let anyone else in"... "if you let someone else in....". I'm thinking wow - she doesn't want more customers in the mostly empty house. She doesn't get it that the hold-up is HER and her methods. They write down the item prices on a piece of paper, then add the items up on a calculator. I think if they had a register it would be more efficient. Or maybe someone going through the line and adding up prices before getting to checkout. Very very very inefficient. She even told one customer, "just put the SHIT on the floor", because the table was getting crowded. She said to one customer - "we are not incompetent, we are just frustrated". She's the owner and she has control of how things work. I think she just doesn't know a better way to operate with high volume of people. There was at least 5 workers there - 2 at checkout, 1 door keeper, 1 guy in garage, 1 lady floating around. I have been to many estate sales over the past year with about 12 companies that I keep a record of - for prices and overall experience so I have a good basis to rate them. I would NEVER hire her for a sale - the home owner will likely lose out on sales. Ok but with all that said, she does offer fair prices on most items. I think it was the 3rd day with 50% off. We spent 2 hrs there, mostly in line waiting. If you see something and want to spend hours there it could be worth your time. Overall experience - this company gets a 1.

This estate seller, Jackie, seemed to be overwhelmed with her job as estate sale organizer. The…read moresale process was extremely lengthy, with customers waiting in line for 90 minutes on the first day and thten an additional 30 minutes to check out (and that was even over an hour past sale start time). Time aside, however - this estate sale company gave me some really strange vibes and I would never hire a company like theirs to handle my estate due to their unprofessional manner. They made disparaging comments about the property owners to sale customers, and also seemed to be venting their own personal frustration on customers as well. They also had a case of "precious" items (sterling and the like) which was sitting right next to the sale runner at the checkout table, with a blanket covering the top. Although many people asked about it, they never did offer any of it up for sale, stating it "wasn't worth [her] time to price it', as "[she] only had a very small scale and since the price of silver had changed so much recently, [she'd] just 'take it to her guy'". Really unfortunate for the estate owners; I can't imagine how much they might have lost out on due to this company's priorities.

We've been to several Gypsy Boy sales, but now we avoid them…read more EVERYTHING at these sales is SO overpriced! Expect to pay high retail for everything ever sold at a Gypsy Boy sale. $150 for an old, weathered (but not antique, not unique, just boring low end) lawn mower? Random glassware imprinted with swag of the past ("I Attended The Citgo Corporate Challenge of 1988!!") for $4.00 each? Half empty jars of face cream from the early 90's for $8.00 each? Crappy, dated, ugly masonite-n-formica dining table for $50? Used towels, used sheets... all at prices that aren't that much lower than what you'd pay for new. They are mighty proud of their stuff. Since they earn half of whatever they sell this stuff for, you can bet the Gypsy Boys price high, high, high. But I am not sure if that translates to much of a benefit for the family. Bottom line, you will never find any kind of deal at one of their sales, not even close. It is a small thing, but we've found their staff to be a little unpleasant as well. Not to us, but we've witnessed several interactions where it's clear that the sales people are just exhausted, or jaded, or sick of customers, and don't mind giving the impression that hosting these sales is SUCH a pain in the neck for them. We went to pay for a small item and the person at the checkout area was eating. The person ahead of us said, "Is this where I pay?" TO which the salesperson said, "Seriously? Can I just get a couple of bites in here?" Um. We're here to.... buy stuff...give you money....uhhhh. They ARE super organized, and DO know their stuff, so they get two stars. But we won't be attending any more of their "sales".

About 2 weeks before sale they and did pictures of everything (about 490 pictures). They helped with the selling of my husband machinery from his business. They explained the next steps. 2 days before the sale they showed up to the house with a full team of people to arrange and stage and price everything. Blue moon made the process very smooth.My husband and I could never have done what Blue Moon did. We are very happy with the process. It was astounding as the amount of merchandise and number of customers was huge. It could have been overwhelming as I've seen many other companies not able to handle such a volume of customers and merchandise. Betty in particular was beyond awesome, she was working with the huge volume of jewelry at a counter and it could be hectic at times with the number of customers however Betty kept her cool, was friendly, efficient and professional. You couldn't ask for more especially in that hectic environment! Josh and his wife were also great, so efficient. Kudos to this company, it is a great group of professional people and I highly recommend going to their sales, you will be more than pleased!
