I contacted Allalin Apartments last minute in full winter (high) season, looking for a one bedroom apartment with kitchenette and a private bathroom, for just after Christmas until the New Year. I was worried because my german is basic but the polite lady on the phone spoke perfect english, and arranged for me immediately an apartment for my holiday, and even negotiated for me a very competitive price!
When I arrived I had to check in in the Hotel owned by the same family that runs the apartments, got given a key and a map of the town and kindly explained my position on it and key features of Saas-fee.
The procedure was fast and the staff polite, although i could see it was totally busy at that time.
I got to the apartment nearby and was surprised at how clean and fresh it looked, seemed to have been newly painted and it was spacious and lightly furnished with the necessary. A nice flat-screen TV and a kitchen with dishwashing soap, a bin-bag and a brush ready for me to use (I thought this was a nice touch as it saved me from buying all this stuff for just a few days.
The bathroom had a bath, and was clean with modern features, and when i went out of the balcony door i found a large balcony with an amazing view of the mountains!
The apartment stayed warm and fairly quiet nonetheless it was a large building with many apartments (Haus Sarazena). The only thing that could have been better was that the mattress felt a bit hard for my liking, a bit too full...
There is a nifty little room where i could leave my skiis downstair, a room with a washing and drying machine, and the bus runs in front of the building to the slopes for free every fifteen minutes!
My little break could not have gone better also thanks to the quality hospitality at Allalin Apartments, I would recomend them to Anyone. read more
