Dr. Yi and his staff were extremely friendly, and spent a good deal of time with me, discussing my concerns, explaining procedures, talking about future treatments, etc. The exam itself was extremely thorough, as he not only checked for cavities, but also periodontal disease, and would have been more thorough with x-rays, etc., were I not pregnant at this time. Dr. Yi did the cleaning himself, and explained everything very thoroughly, and answered my every question. To top it all off, the receptionist occupied my 2-year-old with toys and coloring during my entire visit, and they were only a few steps away from my exam room, so I could easily hear if my child was in any distress. The facilities could use a little sprucing up, but I wasn't there for that purpose, so it did not detract from the experience one bit. I will definitely be going back!

You wouldn't think of a dentist impacting your life, but because of her, I have a new found sense of confidence. Ordinarily, I would have to go to sedation dentistry practices because of my crippling anxiety, but Dr. Stewart has the most incredible bedside manner, and puts you right at ease. I had been going to one dentist all of my life, and once he retired, I was worried that I would never find another dentist who made me feel so comfortable, and not so self conscious. I was told I would need an implant and an idea of the cost of that implant. After the diagnosis, I had a full examination where other areas of care were needed."Just a few fillings and a special cleaning". I clearly stated that my insurance had a maximum, that the implant would likely take all of it and asked for a treatment plan price without insurance because I knew I would be well over the maximum benefit. I was told I would get a call. When they called, they gave me pricing and was told I now needed a root canal (not included in the pricing) which wasn't mentioned in the exam. I asked that they give me the pricing per visit and I didn't get a call. I called them and was told I could pick up my pricing at the office and the total cost was almost $2000 WITHOUT the price for the root canal or the implant......I'm not even mad about the pricing......people have to eat. What I am mad about is when I did call to schedule these appointments and asked that they not do the special cleaning (saving me $600), I was told they couldn't change the treatment plan and would not do the fillings without the cleaning. When I said, if you are telling me you won't do the fillings without the cleaning, then I will have to find another dentist.......the receptionist said, "okay" and hung up on me. The whole experience really left me feeling like they were primarily interested in tacking on as much to the bill as they could with absolutely no disregard for how much a $2000 treatment plan + a $2500 root canal/post and crown + $4500 implant costs to an average person when your insurance will only cover $1500.
