The MRI went okay, but the expectation was that the scan was to be sent to her surgeon. Instead rhey only sent a written report.by their radiologist. We called there several times thinking that either that either the scans had been sent electronically or the physical disks had been sent. Neither was the case. We always have copies of MRI or xray scans given to us as a safety measure and we Fedexed the disk to her surgeon. We lost over a week and at no time during our conversations did they mention that they, as policy, never send the requesting doctor more than the written report. To add insult to injury they encrypt the disks so that the patient can't make a backup copy. We have never had this issue with any other facility.

Dr. Naguit, a once caring and compassionate doctor, cares little about her patients. She doesn't listen, interrupts you, and then glosses over any concerns you have. She also pushes new products constantly which just makes you feel like guinea pig/cash cow for kickbacks. I had been telling her for 2 years that something wasn't right. Despite my concerns she never did any bloodwork in those 2 years even though certain things should be monitored due to medications I take. My last visit with her was in October 2020. She recommended that I see a psychiatrist. Turns out I didn't need a psychiatrist -- I just needed a knowledgeable doctor who cared more about their patients than what's in their pockets. It appears as though I have both Lupus and Scleroderma. I now know I've had numerous symptoms that point to an autoimmune disease for years, but she never so much as gave me a referral for a rheumatologist. Had I not sought out other care I probably would have never known. The 2 stars was for the short time spent in the waiting room.

But let me just sit here and freeze under the thin, stained blanket with holes and smell your Pizza Hut and crinkly snacks (and talking with your mouth full) -- while I haven't eaten for two days. Another 2-star UPMC experience. Bottom line: UPMC consistently performs as expected--at a bar lower than any other system from which I have received care across multiple states and decades.

My friends and family who live in the area refer to it to as the Toys "R" Us location, because this was indeed a Toys "R" Us years ago. You can get lab work here, you can even get minor outpatient surgeries done here. A friend of mine had early stage breast cancer and this was not only where she was diagnosed but where her surgery was done. As for me, I have had my annual mammograms, a number of ultrasounds and a breast biopsy here. This is a facility where whatever you are here for is likely to have you feeling nervous, and the staff recognizes that and is absolutely expert at putting you at ease. From when you call and schedule through the day of your procedure, I have always felt treated with care and empathy. I know these are characteristics you would be looking for in any medical professional, but these are some especially touchy subjects and somehow the staff members they have hired here are exactly the right people for the job. The facility is bright and clean, with staff on hand upfront to direct and/or register you. Lots of space to sit and be comfortable for yourself and any support persons you might bring along. I'm glad to have this facility close to me.
