Superlative and completely unexpected service! In this day…read moreand age of stiff airline rules and regs, it is so refreshing to encounter really good, really considerate customer service. And with little fanfare if any. I have yet to see or hear any ads touting their excellent customer service. (This could be a good thing as it is a well kept secret, which means i almost always get the flight that I want when I want it. Don't let this secret out, or it make Alaska too popular!) I am a relatively new AA flier, having only flown on three flights with them but on two of those, I had to call Customer Service and was floored at the response to my issue. The first time one of the wheels to my new suitcase had literally been ripped off during a flight. I expected to have to go through a bunch of hoops to get it repaired; you know, take a picture of it and send it to them, then take it to a repair shop, get a written estimate, submit it to the airline, wait for them to get back to you, only to hear that wasn't covered or some such. But with Alaska, the first person I spoke to simply asked how much I'd paid for the suitcase and then asked if $150 would cover replacing it. They didn't even want a picture of the damage, just send me a check. I mean how often does that happen? The second instance was just yesterday. I had booked a flight early the day before then learned yesterday evening that I couldn't go. I called Alaska, expecting to (hopefully) be offered a credit towards a future flight at best, as it was a non-refundable ticket, of course. But they said, "oh that's ok... we REFUND within a 24 hr period anyway, and it's only a few hours more so I'll just call it a wash. You'll get your refund within 7 business days." I mean, Hello? What other airline would do that I ask you! I am now a Customer for life! Thank you Alaska!

Excellent service at 800 number. No long hold time and courtesy from the rep. Would definitely…read morerefer anyone in need of a reasonably priced and on-time airline.

Don't give this airline your money unless you want to over pay for flights just to use your previous credit. I paid Flair their cancellation fees to cancel round trip flights when life happened and I was unable to travel, I lost 85% of what I had paid doing so, but 15% was redeemable to a future travel credit. I can travel again and tried to apply this 15% future travel credit to my new itinerary, but when booking through the original reservation, it will only let you book a one way trip, not a round trip, even though a round trip was cancelled previously. I tried to call to ask for assistance, was told no worries, start a new reservation and we will transfer the future travel credit to that reservation. So I made a new reservation, called back to apply the future travel credit to the new reservation, as I was instructed to do, and then was told I wasn't allowed to transfer the future travel credit to the new reservation. I was instructed to apply the future travel credit to a one way trip, and just book a one way trip home again. How convenient for them because if you have to book two one way trips to get home again, you have to pay 1.5-2x more for the same flight just because you are only doing a one way trip, instead of a round trip. On top of that, there "policy" prevents these future travel credits from applying on any flight routes that have current promotions on them. This again is ridiculous, because why should you be prevented from being eligible for the current promotional route fares just because you have a credit with them from past changes. Is this not essentially a gift card since this money is yours that you paid previously and what is remaining from the fees you had to incurr from cancellation? If you already pay the penalties to cancel, you should be allowed to use the remaining for whatever purprose you want with that airline. You shouldn't be excluded from current promotions simply because you have a previous credit. I am done flying with Flair Airlines, and will be sure to warn everyone I know of their policies that prevent people from what they are entitled too.

I recently completed my Private Pilot training at BAS, having previously trained at Galvin in Seattle and AFS in Arlington, and the experience with BAS was nothing short of outstanding. Much of the success of this is in thanks to their exceptional team, led by their new Chief Pilot, Rudy Moon, whose expertise and leadership elevated the entire program. Rudy ensures every instructor works to have each student feel confident and supported in their journey. His professionalism and welcoming approach create an environment where students thrive, whether they're aiming to fly recreationally or pursue a career in aviation. With thousands of hours of flight experience and a knack for bringing the network of instructors together at BAS that amplify and complement each other for a complete part 61 package with creative flexibility that drives students confidently for success at a pace that ensures professional mastery over simply learning the skills necessary for a checkride. Together the instructors create a passion for aviation that is infectious, and their FAA-approved curriculum, combined with a well-maintained fleet of Cessna 172s and a Piper with a new AATD simulator, ensures a comprehensive and engaging learning experience. The team's commitment to safety, proficiency, and student success is evident in every lesson, making BAS a true community of aviators. The stunning Pacific Northwest backdrop is just an added benefit. You get to operate out of a controlled towered airport with the bigboys air carriers but in a much quieter less congested setting that has quicker access to the islands and surrounding vistas of Mt Baker. For anyone looking to start or explore aviation, BAS is the place to start.

The flights to Singapore were excellent and completely on time. Unfortunately, our return trip was the exact opposite. After a 15-hour flight from Singapore, we landed in Vancouver expecting to catch our connecting flight to Houston. As soon as we arrived, we were notified that our flight had been canceled due to "maintenance" and were rebooked on a flight departing nearly 15 hours later, extending our journey to almost 40 hours. I understand that maintenance issues happen. My complaint is not about the cancellation it's about how my family was treated afterward. The Air Canada customer service representative assisting us, Kasumi, was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. She raised her voice at my wife and family while demanding our travel documents, spoke with an attitude throughout the interaction, refused to explore alternative options, and initially declined to provide meal vouchers despite our lengthy delay. It wasn't until I requested a supervisor that she reluctantly provided the vouchers. When I asked to file a complaint, she told me to wait for a supervisor. After waiting for quite some time, no one came, and she ignored any further questions. To make matters worse, the customer service line downstairs had an estimated two-hour wait. While waiting, my young son developed a fever after the long international flight, forcing us to leave the line to care for him. Flight disruptions happen. What should never happen is treating exhausted families with disrespect when they are simply asking for help. The flights themselves were fine. The customer service was not. Because of this experience, I cannot recommend Air Canada and will be choosing another airline for future international travel.

So when I mistakenly booked the wrong city to fly into (those Hawaiian names are so alike!) there was no way to rectify it by phone, and I had missed the online change window of 24 hours. So I had to buy another flight, and hope to get a refund later. When I was within 48 of flying I was able to call and explain the wrong booking. I was told to email the details and it would be taken care of. I got a refund in the mail of $88 when the flight cost $219. There was no explanation given. My father and I were flying from Comox to Calgary via Vancouver…read more After setting up his medical at the time of booking, being confirmed and boarded, with the same oxygen machine he has travelled with dozens of times, we were given 2 options, leave the oxygen machine or leave the plane. We tried to explain to to the pilot and stewardess that the fact that my father would die without the oxygen, and a call from Danniele at the customer check in explaining that it was an approved machine we were forced to deplane. My father and I both have medical issues with walking so this became the first problem. Then the plane left with our luggage and medication. Once we returned to the terminal Danielle showed us the list of approved oxygen machines and what a surprise, there was my fathers machine. We then had to take a $30 cab ride, and rent a $120 hotel room. I then had to go to a walk in clinic to obtain a days worth of medication. Then wait 10 hours for our next flight. Then a 3 hour layover in Vancouver. We then went to the only restaurant without a wait to eat. After finishing dinner we asked for a cart pick up but we're told I had to wheel my father back to the Air Canada wing and wait. We waited 20 minutes and once no one showed up I was forced to push him the full distance as we would have been late for checkin. We landed in Calgary at 1:00am after beginning our day at 4:00am. This caused quite a strain on my fathers heart and my knees. All for an obstinate pilot that refused to listen to anyone as if he was on some kind of power trip. This treatment has left us bitter and likely to give poor reviews to everyone we meet. I would like to add that Danielle in Comox was very helpful in getting us a new flight and assuring we would not be removed by another flight. I would also like to add that the gentleman who deplaned my father in Calgary was very helpful in wheeling him to baggage claim and helping him find me.
