A friend and I booked a cheap flight to Vegas back in April for BTS concert. I was told the flight is cheaper in Bellingham than taking a flight from Vancouver. Allegiant Air was the cheapest airline I would know, while Canadian airlines would cost more money and the difference was a big deal. Seats were alright not too comfortable. We included add - on just to be safe. There was nothing in the airplane not even a tablet to watch a movie. Water was not free. No free peanuts either. Staff offered ice when I asked for some. I was able to find tap water in Vegas airport before boarding time. Travel time was 2.5 hrs from Bellingham to Vegas. Trip was quick and inexpensive. Besides there was no delay or any troubles ever. It was not the best flight I've taken, but was a pretty good price overall. We paid $694 per person including flight and a hotel this saved us from headaches. Also Allegiant credit card gives points if you travel often via Allegiant Air. read more

The good prices aren't worth it even if you give two weeks notice of a severe medical condition and can't make the trip. There are never ever any refunds for any reason. Cheap flights are a bonus ! Allegiant offers these. I have flown with them to LA before. This time it was to Las Vegas. My GF booked a flight / hotel combo with us staying at The Wynn. Return flight for BOTH of us and 6 nights at The Wynn, ( which is a luxury 5 star hotel on the Strip ) was 1600$ US. How can you beat that, when the listed rack rate of our room, for one night was $1500! The airline itself isn't luxury. It's pretty basic. You have to pay extra for assigned seats, so we waited til almost the end to go on and chose our seats. The cool thing about this was we had 3 seats together between the 2 of us. They don't have in flight entertainment, so bring something to read or watch. They also don't give you any free drinks or snacks, so be prepared to bring your own, or purchase on board. Juice and pop is $2, wine and beer $5 and spirits are $7 with a mixer. They also offer snack packs, but no actual meals. The seats were fairly comfy, and the flight went quickly (it was only just over 2 hours ) Staff was nice enough. The policy for baggage, both checked, and carry on, has recently changed. From what I hear not for the better. We booked our trip before it was in effect, so I can't specify as to what this is exactly. Do check with them when booking to avoid any issues. I like this airline for the cheap flights. However I must mention that it Does Not fly out of Vancouver. So be prepared to cross the boarder to the USA, and make the short drive to Bellingham WA. Allegiant is a laughable excuse for an airline. Daughter arrived at Bellingham yesterday from LAX. The plane sat for 90 minutes on the ground while they waited for a gate so passengers could de-plane. Apparently Allegiant was the only airline in the state not to be aware that it was going to snow, so they were utterly unprepared. No one had plowed the gate area. This airline is complete garbage. There wasn't an Allegiant employee to be found inside the airport, and no information was provided to families waiting in the terminal. Port of Bellingham probably bears some blame too. Allegiant is a complete shit show. read more

As a travel agent, of course I like to save my clients money on flights. However, there comes a point where a low base fare isn't quite the same value once you include common add-ons. Allegiant is a case in point. Want to carry on a bag aside from a personal item? You'll pay a fee for that, and the longer you wait, the more expensive it will be. Want to choose your seat and/or make sure you'll sit with someone you're traveling with? Pay up - there's a fee. Plan to print your boarding pass at the airport? Yep, there's a fee for that, although it's waived for some passengers who are required to check in at the airport ticket counter. There is also no free in-flight service of drinks or snacks, so guess what? You'll pay for that IF you don't bring your own aboard. Make sure that one personal item has enough room for your stuff and any food/beverages that you might require. If all of the above isn't a deterrent, consider that they have a late flight rate of nearly 20% (19.96%) - with an average of just under 65 minutes late departure. Causes of delay include 20.88% for diverted flights, 26.86% for cancelled flights, and carrier issues amounting to 25.69%... the normal things like weather, the National Aviation System, and security adds up to a paltry 15% or so, which means that the rest lands squarely with the airline. I suppose if you can work within the constraints of their base fare by traveling very light, not caring about an assigned seat, and so forth, and aren't bothered by delays (sometimes by days!), then by all means, Allegiant is low cost and will save you money. For most of us, however, it's just not that great of a deal... read more

There are conditions that have to be met in order for you to enjoy your flights here: 1. Travel light, unless you want to pay for your extra bag. 2. You want to travel into one of their limited service cities, (usually I am flying into Arizona) 3. Feel comfortable with sitting in a small area for 5ish hours. 4. Are booking your flights on certain days (Tuesdays and Thursdays for Arizona) So far, I think the airline is good. The flights are normally packed, and the flights are direct and cheap by comparison. So, if you want a cheap flight to get you where you want to go and do not mind being uncomfortable for a short while ( vs looong international flights), give them a try. You should practice packing light anyway, but that is another soapbox I won't get into here... read more

Here are two main reasons why I would NEVER fly Allegiant and I do not recommend it to ANYONE. FEES Allegiant makes it seem like their flights are cheap, but their flights are not cheap at all because of all the fees for their "optional" services. For example, they charge you for carry-on luggage as well as check-in luggage; they expect you to fly with a purse. They also charge you for choosing a seat. I was able to cancel my reservation without a penalty, but it ended up costing me a lot of money because I had to book a flight with a different airline close to my departure date. FINAL THOUGHTS I fly a lot, a couple of times a month. Many people are sick of all the new fees that airlines started to charge. In "good old days," it was free to check in bags; we used to be fed even in the main cabin; we used to be able to earn award trips much quickly. Th list goes on and on. Dear Allegiant, once again I fell for one of your tempting e-mails telling me I could go on a fun, romantic weekend getaway to a beautiful destination for a lower-than-low price! Just check it out, I said. How bad could their infamous add-on fees be, I asked. Well let's see...the original advertised price of $131/RT from Bellingham to San Diego suddenly turned into almost $200! $36/RT for a carry-on bag...$12 to use my credit card (heaven forbid!) to book a flight...and that doesn't even include the options I didn't choose (like a fee to choose my seats and actually sit next to the person I'm going on the getaway with). And thanks for peppering the process with veiled threats about how much you're going to ream me for if I need to change or cancel my flight. I don't know how you guys stay in business. Which is sad, because I've flown you in the past (before some of the more ridiculous fees were added) and you have great staff and skillful pilots. Well all I can say is you get what you pay for. Cheap flight, dirty plane, and a bathroom that well let me just say that I am glad it was a short flight so I could hold it!!! Seats are nice and the first time we flew with them the service was better as was the condition of the plane. Although the flights are cheap, their luggage policy helps make up the difference in cost because unless you have a pretty small carry on you will have to pay more!! We've been using Allegiant Air for our fam of four visiting relatives and vacays in the US (LAX, LAS, and SAN) for quite some time now. So far we've had pretty good experiences with flying Allegiant each time and we know what to expect. Their cheaper rates, compared to flying out of YVR, is definitely the main reason we fly with Allegiant Air (via BLI). With the rates they have, we don't expect anything above and beyond. But flight attendants and staff are actually quite nice and friendly. And their services suites our needs. Even with the extra cost per baggage, paying by credit instead of debit, the 45-50 minute drive down from Vancouver to BLI, and the daily parking rates, and the USD vs CAD exchange rate, it's still cheaper than flying out of YVR. read more

The flight was delayed 3 hours without explanation. We were held on the flight for over an hour and not allowed to used the restroom or have water. Then we were told to get off the aircraft, sat in the airport another hour and then told to get back on. When we asked what was wrong we were told " There's like a million computers on that thing". The aircraft was filthy. Crumbs and stuff all over the seats and floors. On the return flight at check in the attendant took our bags then told us we didn't have our boarding passes. She said we needed the printed version not the scanner bar on our phones. We almost missed our flight trying to figure it out. Went thru security anyway and they said Yes, the scanner bar on our phones are the boarding passes. They also moved the gate without adjusting the reader board so we were totally lost! Prices cannot be beat! But . . . beware of checking in your baggage. I was reprimanded by an overzealous flight attendant for placing my carry-on on top of someone's garment bag. How would I have known since my compartment above my seat was already full and shouldn't garment bags be stowed under a seat?! The worst part was the screaming overzealous air waitress came to garment bag dude's defense and apologized to him while lashing out at me. It's the old saying, "You get what you pay for." Flying to Hawaii Allegiant uses the very old 757-200 planes. These planes have extremely tight seating where you sit pretty well straight up - and the seats do not recline at all. If you are tall, have a bad back, or expect to sleep on the long flight then look elsewhere. Also note that this airline nickel and dimes you to death. Want water or coffee? Want to reserve a seat vs separating your family out? Want to ensure your carry-on finds a place on the plane? Need a pillow? This list goes on and on. Basically, anything they can charge you for they will. Want a movie? Bring a portable device as the plane is not equipped with displays. Note that the check-in bagagge limit is 40 pounds per bag vs 50 like some other airlines have. When people say no frills, this airline would serve as a good model. Also, you should note that I order for them to offer such low prices, they not only use old planes but only employ a small number of staff. That means that if you want to speak to an actual live human being, you have to call a non-toll-free number and expect to wait 30 minutes plus while you incurr long distance charges. Because of the use of older planes and with such a small staff, expect frequent delays due to maintenance issues as you see in other posts. Would I fly Allegiant? If it was a short 1-2 hour flight where time is not of essence I might. If there were other alternatives that cost 10-20% more or if I was flying somewhere far such as Hawaii, then definitely NOT. I'd much rather pay more than suffer in the very uncomfortable planes and experiencing the results of a company trying to be as frugal as possible at the expense of its customers. read more

The direct flight from Tucson to Bellingham, and return three days later was a life saver for me, as I was recently injured and could not have walked or run through connecting airports let alone with two bags. Price was also great until I added priority boarding, paying for carry-on and another bag, seat selection, extra legroom, printed boarding pass, water and airport snacks it got a bit more expensive. Uncomfortable seats didn't recline, and were small. Particularly when the window-seat passenger's "emotional support" black lab decided to sit in the middle seat!! Return flight I couldn't get the front row which supposedly has the most legroom. Allegiant Air is absolutely the WORST airline in the entire world. They will woo-you with their so-called "cheap" flight prices, only to con you of additional charges for carry-on luggages, check-in luggages, and incremental fees for using a Visa-credit card rather than a Visa-debit card. WHAT KIND OF COMPANY DOES THIS? To makes matters worst - they have the worst customer service ever (clearly the same point that many others have also noted in their reviews about Allegiant). I suppose if you're so cheap and only paying employees minimum wage, there is clearly no incentive for them to be nice. Furthermore -- If someone can please answer me this one question: why the heck would the airline permit "on-line" check-ins if they don't have a kiosk to allow customers to print boarding passes from!?!? The Summary: Rude Staff; No consideration for their clientele The story: We were due to fly out of bellingham for Vegas at 11:45. Due to border waits and a few other small delays, we arrived at 11:05. Since we had checked in online, I assumed this would be straight forward as we'd only have to drop our bags off. Sadly I was mistaken. After lining up in the regular lineup, we got to the front at about 11:30. At this point we were told that we would not be allowed on the flight and that we should call to rebook. Following this point of stupidity, I was roaming on hold for 15 mins at which point I was pointed to one of allegiants least compassionate representatives. Not only were we told that we wouldn't be allowed on the flight but that our voucher was now forfeit. After going round and round with this satan like lady, I concluded that Allegiant was going to do nothing to help us and so we went with the more compassionate Alaskan airlines. Conclusion: As others have said, you'll get exactly what you pay for with a discount airline. Will I fly with them again? Likely since it's a huge cost saver but I'll be mindful that their aim is only to get their hands on your money. Am I sour? Yes. But only because it seemed like no one was interested in helping us make the flight. If we only had 10 mins, then I'd understand their BS policy, but they seemed to have no sympathy for individuals that had a genuine reason to be late. read more

Very satisfied. Saved over 50% of the flight cost as opposed to flying out of YVR. Also saved a ton of headaches - YVR is a pain in the rear to park, find your terminal, go through miles of security checkpoints and overpriced luxury stores and just overall carries all the annoyances of any major airport. I'm a fan of small airports like this one that Allegiant operates out of where you can park for cheap, can instantly walk inside and check in, security is a breeze and it's easy to find everything because it's so small. I'm always a light traveler, so the missing amenities do not matter to me. I would recommend Allegiant for people who do not need to check luggage, a decent drink or meal for 2-3 hours of flying, or care about where they sit. I would never fly budget to Hong Kong or London, but for a 2-3 hour flight which is basically as far as Allegiant would go, I couldn't care less how I get there as long as it's safe and dirt cheap, which it certainly is. read more

The worst airline I have flown. It's about a 2-3 star if things go smoothly, and that's pretty much only if there's perfect weather and no mechanical problems. Usually you have to expect a 30 min delay with Allegiant at the best of times (i.e. Do not book shows or dinners the night of your flight day if using Allegiant). 0 stars if problems arise. Allegiant has no customer service. On a recent BLI-OAK round trip, they managed to delay both legs of the trip and have the customer cover all the additional expenses, including an unplanned overnight in BLI and another unplanned overnight in Pasco. Where's Pasco you ask? In the middle of freaking nowhere! 6 hours away from BLI - lovely choice for a detour. They try to blame things on weather, yet it's because they wait so long to fly because they don't have enough planes and things were fine if we actually left at the scheduled time! If you want to complain, well, it'll be at your expense since their live chat can only handle general questions and Allegiant doesn't have a toll free number. Fly at your own risk. read more

So cheap ... $120 round trip to the Bay Area and back for my high school reunion. The reunion itself cost almost that much!! I've flown up and down the West Coast several times on Allegiant, so I'm familiar with the tiny spaces and seats that don't recline. You get what you pay for and on a short hop like that it was fine, but a longer flight might be miserable. Also note that they do not have food or beverage service on the flight, so you'll need to bring your own. I'm happy to do so in return for the very reasonable fares. Also note that you will have to pay extra for a carry-on bag (though your "personal item" is free of charge but must go under the seat - only paid bags in the overhead compartment), and also for any checked baggage. Be sure to check and add these costs in when calculating if the fare is reasonable, as it can add up quickly if you are planning to bring a carry-on and check a bag. Also, your carry-on will likely be the only one in the overhead bin... For an overnight trip I only needed a personal item so it was dirt-cheap, but if you're going for longer you'll need to factor in the checked bag fee as well. read more

You really cannot beat the amazing price of their tickets. I flew out from Bellingham to Oakland beginning of December for 1 week and with all taxes it was only $140. No checked bag, although coming back home even though my bag fit the measurements online, it didn't fit in their metal checker so I had to pay an additional $35 that I was not expecting... Kind of annoying. They charge for water and snacks but being such cheap flights it's almost expected - They have to try and make up the money somehow. When booking through the website you really have to pay attention because they do try and upsell you with priority boarding and assigned seating. The planes are small, the seats don't recline and it's loud but for the amount of money saved it's totally worth it. read more

Allegiant - the dirty bird in the sky! Ok, I know it's a discount airline and yes, you get what you pay for. But how much extra would I have to pay to have a vacuum run through the plane and the garbage picked up? Or how much to have running water in the bathroom? I would gladly pay extra after this experience. The plane was absolutely disgusting! When we got to our seats, there was old food on the floor, crackers and Cheerios everywhere, and the little bin on the back of the seat was full of garbage! Just gross!! I took my son to the washroom mid flight and found out there was no water in the washroom to wash your hands - just a barf bag full of wet wipes. That is completely unacceptable!! I wonder what the flight attendants use??? One more bonus of our experience. When we checked in we found out our pre paid seat assignment was cancelled. With 2 young kids it's the last thing we wanted to find out. Luckily we were able to sit together but it was on the second to last row - by the gross washrooms with no water. We had booked the 7th row. I'll see if I get a refund or not - still to be determined. This was our first and last flight with Allegiant. The dirtiness of the plane was completely unacceptable. I'm an idiot for flying this airline. After fees and bags and fees and fees and fees and fees it would've been cheaper to fly Alaska Airlines. But luckily the awful customer service lady told me "that's what you get for not reading the fine print." It's nice to know that their business model is based on tricking the consumer and then rubbing it in when they juice you for extra fees. Where is that negative star button when you need it! So, I write this review after already waiting 9 hours... and (still waiting) for our flight to Vegas. Apparently, Allegiant Air's Manager of Customer Operations serves as the designated advocate for passengers' interests and shall be responsible for monitoring the effects of flight delays, flight cancellations and lengthy tarmac delays on passengers. They will have input into decisions on which flights to cancel and which to delay the longest. I got this directly from Allegiant Air's website. So I want to personally say to said Manager of Customer Operations, why did he choose our flight to be the one to bumped? Our flight was scheduled for 12:55pm and here it is 6:55pm and still no food. They did provide us with Sprite and bottled water though- BIG WHOOP! As if that wasn't bad enough, the manager of Customer Operations is apparently the one who thought it would be wise to allow the 4:30pm, and 8:20pm flights to Vegas to go ahead of us... BOY WERE THEY WRONG! And yeah, I'M SOOOO YELPING THIS NIGHTMARE! And we're totally going to GET JESSIE! We were informed by a non-informative door agent that our flight will be delayed now til 9:55pm, and he didn't know why they couldn't put us on a different flight but seeing the way the day has been going. So he suggested we go back through the security checkpoint and speak with the ticket agent. BIG HELP... I wouldn't be surprised if we hear of another delay in 2 or 3 hours. I was on the fence whether or not to try Allegiant Air again. We originally chose this airline for their cheap airfare, but since we've already wasted the entire day hearing false promises of departure times, I will not. read more

Yay Allegiant! My friend turned me on to this airline when I told her I wanted to go to Vegas. It really was a deal. Like Cory said, check for what the prices are for "Flight Only" before you search for package deals so you can pick the cheap flights and get great deals. The deals are great and my friend and I paid $360 Canadian ($300 US) for the round-trip flight, one piece of check luggage, 3 nights at the Flamingo, and all taxes in. Having to pay for check luggage was a new experience but I fit everything into my carry on and my friend brought a check piece. No problems. The Bellingham airport is super tiny so we didn't need to get there that early, but the flight left on time (both there and back) and the staff were all nice. The best part for us was the good deals on food on the plane. Maybe they were good deals or maybe I'm just used to being ripped off by Air Canada. For $5 US we could get a sandwich wrap, or (our choice) a Go Deli package, which was awesome! Also, at only $5 US a beer you have to be careful about how many you have at high altitude. =) Don't get the shuttle if you're going to Vegas though, it's a total rip off. They also tried to tell us we wouldn't be able to get a cab at the airport, shame on them. We waited a total of 2 seconds for a cab. All in all, great flight, great deal. So happy. read more

Waited over 12 hours at LAX for a flight to bellingham and people were almost in tears. Lately this has been the norm than an exception. Since they are a small airline hard for them to get a replacement plane or anything to your rescue. Never again fly Belligerent Airlines. I ve been delayed before but not 12 hours. No one at the counter if you are early or running late, bad customer service/attitude, not very helpful and inexperienced staff. Heaven help you if get screwed by this airline. For the extras you pay next time I would gladly pay the extra100-200 Alaska was wanting. read more

If you're taking a short 1-2hrs flight and ticket is dirt cheap, then yeah go ahead, otherwise fly with an airline that will actualy fly on time, you wont have to pay for glass of water, your back wont hurt because of sitting in upright position for the duration of you flight, etc. $70 for luggage (1 bag), $35 for booking a seat, $6 for a sandwich, $6 blanket, etc. I will be generous and give them 2* rating. read more

Flew OAK-BEL last week. Reasonably good deal but I had some concerns about plane maintenance - continuous flickering overhead lights, noise and some funny smells. It is a very convenient short hop to Bellingham from the Bay area, so I'll probably will fly Allegiant again. However I'd gladly trade a short flight duration for a longer flight in a conventional airline if Allegiant price (flight plus all the trash fees) is anywhere over half of what I'll spend otherwise. Be very careful when you book online - the trash fees keep popping back. In short, this is a CHEAP airline - if you are not getting a ticket for half of what you'll pay elsewhere, fly with a regular airline. read more

Whats avoiding me from rating this one star? The airfare. Lets start with the PROS: 1.) Let me say that $150 roundtrip between Oakland, California and Bellingham Washington is much better than paying almost $400 for a roundtrip between San Francisco, CA to Vancouver, BC. 2.) On flight staff - The staff on the plane have exceptional etiquette just like most other airlines that charge more. ok now the CONS: I've been on flights with dozens of airlines, more than I can count. I'm not that picky of a passenger, I don't mind the middle seat or flights that don't offer much more than pretzels to eat. 1.) I have to say though, their seats on the plane are SUPER UNCOMFORTABLE. My flight may have only been 2 hours and 15 minutes but it feels just as long as a transcontinental. Why is that you ask? THE SEATS DON'T RECLINE 2.) Carry on Baggage size: If your luggage is bigger than your purse or a camcorder bag then you will have to check it in, which means $35 extra dollars. I bought the smallest suitcase there was in this luggage store and it was still too big for Allegiant to accept as carry on. 3.) This one is for Lloyd at the Bellingham Airport Check in, read below, its a copy of the complain't I had registered with the airline: "I was very unpleased with the behavior of your employee named Lloyd Elenbaas at the desk located in Bellingham International Airport. His attitude was completely rude towards myself and my mother as we were checking in my stuff he didn't acknowledge any of my questions that both of us were asking him. He took my fragile television and placed it roughly on the conveyor belt and didn't bother placing a fragile sticker on it until I quickly noticed he didn't and asked him to. He responded with a sigh and unpleasant facial expression as if we were asking too much for him to do when he already neglected our questions. We asked him again after all this and AGAIN he did not respond and instead tried to shoo us away by looking at the line up and said "next" as if we were dirt. When I arrived to the gate, there was even another gentleman in the queue who asked one the lady who worked along side Lloyd for him name. She declined giving him his last name, but I was able to share it with him. I asked whether Lloyd gave him a hard time and he responded yes that he was extremely rude when he simply asked a question pertaining to the baggage policy and how he was charged for a checked in baggage when he didn't have one. According to this fellow, Lloyd even went as far as saying that it works out for the airline that he prepaid his baggage when he didn't have one because now that makes them more money. This type of behavior is atrocious! This experience has been the worst I've had when travelling. I have been a long time customer suggesting people to fly with this affordable airline. Now I will do whatever I can to avoid it." Its true, I have flown with Allegiant Air six times already. I think on my next trip I will spend just a few more bucks to know that I don't have to put up with this again. This is the most un-customer service oriented ted airline. We got to bellingham airport an hour before our flight and they wouldn't let us back to the gate without a boarding pass AND there was no way to get a boarding pass because they didnt have a y staff at the check in counter. UNBELIEVABLE. we had to watch our flight take off then pay to book the next day a d pay for a hotel room. I WILL NEVER FLY THEM AGAIN! read more

Expectations for Allegiant is really low anyway but they really hit bottom this time. After luring me in with a great package including airfare, hotel and rental care, I got a CONFIRMATION email saying it was all good to go. Then a day later I get a phone call saying the hotel could not be confirmed (so why did they let me book it to begin with)? Then I have to phone in and wait at least an hour to get an actual person on the line to fix it. That took forever and my choices of hotel were very limited (not at all what the website indicated .. .I was shown many many choices. Turns out none are actually available. Now the entire package has to be rebooked (airline, car, everthing) which means all my flights and seat assignments have to be changed. Really this is an awful company. The low prices are NOT worth the aggrevation or the poor, poor customer service. read more

Airplanes with Allegiant are 20+ years old but the industry average is 14. Staff at Bellingham Airport are actually very nice; however, that is not the same in large cities like in Las Vegas. Consistently, they were never pleasant, just stone faced and even didn't know much like what a CPAP machine is. They don't serve for free any water or ice on Allegiant. You have to pay extra for it. Everything is seemingly charged for. I imagine at some point you will have to pay extra to use their washrooms and to breath the pressurized air aboard. Going back to the planes, they are in fact very old. Depending on the captain, you may or may not be lucky where he/she engage the A/C while waiting on the hot tarmac waiting to depart. Overall, I give Allegiant a one point five stars. Like the saying goes, you get what you pay for...and sometimes less. read more

Hands down the worst service I have ever encountered in any industry ever. I would rather walk barefoot than take an allegiant air flight anywhere ever again. Every aspect of dealing with them is a tiny little scam. Just tell me how much the flight is and I will give you my money. Don't give me a fake price then add $15 in charges for the air I breath and $1.99 each time I blink during the flight. If you ever need to contact customer service DON"T... unless waiting on hold for hours on end is your thing, then go for it, they won't let you down in that department. Decent prices for tickets if you want to get to reach our friendly neighbor to the north but the seats and the flight attendants could be a little nicer but that's what you get I suppose for the "low-cost". Don't expect to be greeted when you board the plane. Always try to book your ticket at least a month early if you don't want to pay over $100 for a one-way ticket. The cheapest I've gotten round-trip tickets for was $130ish not including baggage fees which goes up to about $150. At the most expensive, you're looking at $250. I 've also noticed Wednesdays are cheaper. Their flight attendants may be aggressive when it comes to carry-on but there's plenty of space under the seat in front of you. Both one-way flights I've taken never left boarding on time. There were delays ~10-20 minutes. Like other Yelpers have noted...you get what you pay for and if you plan ahead, you can get a pretty good deal that doesn't involve driving up all the way from Seattle to cross the border to Canada. read more

Allegiant Air - At the Oakland airport, flying to Bellingham. - Airlines Near Me - Bellingham, Washington

Flight 1057 from Bellingham to Honolulu is really messed up. The problem was not due to their issue with the MD-80's; that much I know. I was busy zoning them out and patiently waiting for my seat/zone to be called, so I'm not really sure why the plane decided not to cooperate. This review is being written as I sit here in the terminal on 23-Sept-2013 at gate "C" around 10 pm ( was supposed to depart at 8pm). I'm a bit disappointed with this airline's ability to handle the problem of their aircraft, but they really try to do their best in customer service. They supplied drinks and pizza to keep our spirits up. The crew did manage to get a plane scheduled to fly us from BLI to HNL. The catch was approximately a 4+ hour delay, and the replacement plane is being flown from Las Vegas. I witnessed passengers just walking off from the terminal knowing that they won't be able to get back in because TSA had closed for the evening. Hopefully Allegiant will help these passengers that walked off in disappointment, if not in frustration. It was and is a significant let down by Allegiant. I'll fly their airline again IF it's just me and ONLY ME; I will not take this airline if I'm taking my wife with me or other guests. I don't want my wife's iron daggers raking out my eyes or the guests think I'm on something for recommending a turkey shoot service that is so random like the Washington State lottery. If Allegiant could get a replacement plan within the hour, I would have given them 3 stars and kudos for such an expeditious response. Four stars would be an extraordinary stretch! Right now this airline truly merits about a 0.5, but I really don't like giving a fraction of a number. A one, I'm pretty sure would show my anger, so I mix the good and rotten just for the sake of being not so blinded by anger. I'm really tired of hearing the overhead speaker blurt out "welcome to Bellingham international ...". I want to hear "Welcome to Honolulu international..." I wonder what to expect on my return flight from HNL to BLI!!! Hopefully it won't turn out like the episode on "Friends". The flight being delayed because the plane had no "phalanges". read more

Overall, Allegiant Air isn't bad. Although the planes are small, there is nothing I can really complain about. The 12 dollar drinks are a little excessive but I expected that from an airline. I flew a straight shot round trip to Washington state for about $200 and no other airline could beat that. Only negative: They didn't put the gate number on my ticket so I spent an hour trying to find it. read more

Be ware! Do not book packages when you travel on Alligient. They hide the fact you will pay additional fees on hotels when checking out. Fees can exceed $40 per night. Completely dishonest. read more
