AVOID LATE NIGHT DISPATCH -Called company in morning and scheduled a midnight pickup for seniors at the airport to deliver Hotel Bellwether. -Taxicab did pickup, but then took them to the wrong hotel. -Called dispatch to find out error and confirm wouldn't be charged...got this instead... --- "Not on record you asked for Bellwether, you'll need to pay full ride. We don't give free rides.." --- "Not gonna pay? Then I'm gonna call the cab. Your 80 year old parents will just have to find another way at midnight. " --- "Oh you gonna leave a bad review? DO IT! I don't care!" ...well she dared me...so here u go. Luckily the owner of the business was driving....he was more professional and courteous and gave me the 'ol "she's new" line to defend his black-hearted dispatch. read more

I needed a ride for my husband, myself, my big dog and his crate to SEATAC very early in the morning. Bellingham taxi was awesome, right on time, very comfortable new vehicle that accommodated the dog crate, very professional driver, and lots of help with the unloading process which was a bit complicated with the dog. Everything I said about Bellingham Taxi in my original review (back in 2020) is still true EXCEPT their fares have gone up significantly. So, an update is in order. What hasn't changed: + They are dependable. They show up when they say they do. It's usually 5-10 minutes early. + Their cars are pretty clean, much cleaner than regular cabs but probably not as clean as most Uber or Lyft. + The dispatcher is accommodating. What HAS changed: The fares have gone up SIGNIFICANTLY. It's less than 5 miles from my house to the airport. It's about a 10 minute ride. Back in 2020, it cost me about $19, roughly the same as Uber. Today (December 2022), the same ride cost me $26.50. That's a 40% increase! As soon as I arrived at the airport, I got fare estimates for Uber and Lyft: $17.64 (35% cheaper) and $21.99 (20% cheaper), respectively. Conclusion: I think I will still use Bellingham Taxi for their dependability. However, the 40% fare increase is difficult to swallow particularly when other ride services are 20-35% cheaper. ************************************************************ If you found my review helpful, please smash the "useful" button! Jessica was amazing --and from start to finish, provided a superb and delightful experience. She was communicative via text, prompt and on time--and was a strong embodiment on what the transportation services industry should be. We found the company's information via Yelp and were able to make a quick phone call to coordinate and reserve a pick up time. We paid $40.00 for a 6.0mile trip --yikes, we know--from the Four Points by Sheraton to the Holiday Inn & Suites, which was definitely steep in cost. However, given the overbooked taxi companies, the insane weather conditions and our need to get to our destination, we bit the bullet and cost. I imagine their fees will be much more manageable in better weathers, and the surge dies down. Overall, I'd recommend Bellingham Taxi. The service, as well as vehicle, definitely outshines their local competitors i.e Yellow Cab. read more

Our flight from Bellingham to SeaTac was delayed due to mechanical problems, and we had to get to SeaTac to catch an international flight. We saw Bellingham Taxi and asked if they would take us to SeaTac-answer, "yes, absolutely!" Negotiated a price and we were in our way. We had a last minute need for a cab as Uber and Lyft couldn't find a driver for our location. We were having to be at our destination on time and had no minutes to spare. Bellingham Taxi sent their driver out in a hurry and he drove us quickly and safely to our destination. I highly recommend this company as they not only showed up but helped with our luggage, got us to our place in time and gave us good service. read more

I had booked a cab for a pickup to the airport at 4:30 in the morning. I confirmed the pickup the day before. Then never showed!! I called over and over and it just went to a recording. They never even returned my message to say why they didn't show. I wouldn't recommend using this company for ANYTHING that was important. read more

Don't ride with this company if you value your health/life. Had a driver almost hit me today. Ran a stop sign. Was funny seeing the reaction of the passenger though. Followed driver through neighborhood where I witnessed him run two more stop signs. Then lost sight of him, as he was easily doing twice the speed limit! One of their cabs refused to take me from the airport to a nearby parking lot, because he didn't want to lose his place in the airport taxi queue. This is offensive and embarrassing, discriminating against customers based on how much they'll earn for the driver. Fortunately there are two alternatives who don't discriminate based on distance, and whose drivers are rated and thus have an incentive to be polite and professional...Uber and Lyft. I thought I'd help out a dying industry by taking a taxi, but won't repeat that mistake again. You'd think taxi companies would try to compete against Uber and Lyft by giving superior customer service, but I found it's just the same old selfish, surly, unpleasant experience it always was. read more

This company rocks! The dispatcher was efficient and helped us arrange for our ride. It was longer than most from Bellingham to Blaine. She had it arranged quickly and told us our ride would be at our location in 15 minutes. In less time Jessica arrived and she was awesome. She was super sweet, kind and knowledgeable. We had a no show cab in Friday Harbor so we were skeptical. Bellingham Cab is great and we will use them again. Highly recommended!! read more

The only taxi ride I have ever enjoyed was through this taxi service, and I have taken a lot of cabs. The driver was American, well dressed and extremely polite. We had a really nice, not forced conversation and it was anything but awkward. The car was clean and I was able to adjust the heat to my preference. I rode from the Bellingham Airport to home and was just really impressed. The car was a Lincoln. You can make appointments ahead of time and they will pick you up on time. Best part: it was cheaper by 4$ than what yellow cab had charged me. Needless to say, I'll only be using this cab business from now on. read more

We witnessed one of their taxis FLYING through a roundabout by Cordata bus terminal/ Dairy Queen area in Bellingham so fast that a pedestrian who had already stepped into the designated cross walk had to jump back to avoid being hit. I was so mad I called the phone number on the side of the cab and reached the company. When I asked the guy who answered if he was the one driving right then in that area he said yes. I told him he almost hit someone and that he was going way too fast. He said "I didn't see nobody" and hung up on me. Boo! read more

Wouldn't take me on a quick ride in town when I needed to get somewhere to catch the bus to SeaTac. I get that they would rather have the business the full way to SeaTac but it is really rude to refuse a short taxi ride, in fact in Vancouver it is illegal to do so. Not impressed. read more

I've used this cab service for the last two years for rides to and from the airport. Over the past two years, service has been inconsistent. My ride is always the same length/distance, always at 4am-ish, and the route is typically different meaning my rate fluctuated from $12-$18. Drivers typically got lost when trying to find my place and at times even rude on the phone with me. On my most recent ride to the airport (today), they told me they would pick me up at 4:15am (not 4am bc they had another ride). The lady who took my call had the TV on full volume, as she was taking my call. At 4:15, they didn't arrive, I called to ask where they were, and I was questioned on whether or not I actually scheduled a ride. The driver who did pick me up was great and got me to the airport quickly, but I was still charged the full price of the ride even after a clear mistake on their end (one that almost cost me my flight). The first time I rode with Northwest, I loved my experience. I'm sad they have been inconsistent and average at best. Maybe I'll come back if my experiences with other cabs are less reliable. read more

An unexpected surprise! Found Northwest Town Car Service was the only taxi waiting at the Bellingham Airport on our late return back from our holiday. Was worried it was going to be more $$ than a regular taxi to get back to our hotel because the car looked SO NICE! The ride was luxurious! The seats were super comfy and the car was impeccably clean and nice. Was totally surprised when the total came to $24 instead of the over $30 it took on our trip TO the airport with Yellow Cab!! Would definitely call Northwest Town Car Service to pick us up next time!! read more

I set up a rez with Bellingham Taxi for the day after Xmas 2017. My subdivision is dark (no street lights) and I am 7 miles outside Bellingham. My driver, Arron, called me 10 minutes early and he was sitting in my driveway "waiting for me" :) Arron's vehicle was clean, large and very comfortable for my ride to the airport bus to SeaTac. Arron got me to my destination safely and early. A US Veteran, his conversation about today's world affairs was not only spot on from someone who has served in the Middle East but objective in his opinion. We had previously booked this service with no problem. However, we had reserved a car to return us home from a transcontinental flight, and on arrival at the airport the driver said that if we had checked baggage we would have to wait for the car service to deliver passengers with only carry on luggage to be delivered to their destination first. So we had come in on a 12:05 am flight- exhausted after traveling for more than 24 hours and were told we would have to wait for passengers with only carry on to be delivered to their destination, then the driver would return for us. We found this totally unacceptable, we were under the mistaken notion that we reserved a car and we could expect to be the sole passengers for this car on this flight into Bellingham. We did not realize Bellingham Taxi books the same car for multiple clients on the same arrival. Not the service we thought we were booking for and in the future guess we will look to Uber or Lyft or other taxi providers. Fortunately, my husband arrived only a few minutes behind me with our checked luggage before the driver could unload our carry on, so he loaded our luggage and drove us home. But I will not risk next time being left standing curbside for however long it takes to deliver another customer first on a double-booked car. read more

Decent taxi service. Only reason it's not a 5-Star is because some drivers are clearly better in that they are more courteous/professional than others. One older gentleman was very patient and pleasant through the whole ride, while another younger driver who smelled strongly of smoke was a bit impatient/anxious. Cars are generally clean. read more
