Finally rode my bike out to this hidden gem and bought a matcha latte with coconut milk (no sweetener) I loved it! This cafe is super laid back the staff is friendly and will gladly offer you a sample of a coffee to try before you buy which is helpful if your not to sure what you want. Simply fantastic coffee place! Spacious, busy, lively and BRIGTH! They offer great & healthy food options (desert bites & sandwiches) as well as specialty coffee like Nitro Cold Brew (!) There are plenty of power outlets, and the only suggestion would be to improve the Internet bandwidth as it gets slow and laggy quite often. Finally got over there (5 blocks away..really?). Wow! So nice to have a blended coffee meticulously created by an unrushed barista. And the quality was wow. Bought some of the Ethiopian but haven't opened yet. However, the smell in my pantry is fabulously overpowering. Makes it hard not to open them yet. This is a quality business with quality product. I am excited about and for them. Also, they have recycling stations (love!!) inside the building for batteries, cells, shoes, #6 plastic, corks, etc. Obviously, they have great business morals. Why a 4+ star rating? 'Cause nobody gets a 5 'til I'm on my deathbed and ready to drink from that final cup at the last coffee stop before heaven. Having said that, so far Allegro's Organic French Roast is beating all the others. I wanted to choose some highbrow roast like the "Novo Amaro Gayo Natural" or sumpin' fancy-schmancy from Sonata, but that's just not the case. If other people have suggestions, I'll be pleased to get your recommendations, but for homemade espresso, so far this baby's richer than Carlos Slim and its what I wanna have in my hand when the final caffeine rush is over. read more

I would give these guys 5-stars, but opted for 4 for completely selfish reasons - they are only open during typical office hours! :( Now, don't get me wrong, as a business woman myself, I completely respect the fact that a place with a small amount of walking/drive-by traffic wouldn't want to stay open until 9pm - especially in the 'burbs, but on the flip side - It's really hard to find a non-corporate establishment with such a friendly staff and yummy coffee at night! Very spacious, fun to see how the business runs (the shop is connected to the warehouse) and VERY friendly staff (thank you for not being snotty baristas!). I would recommend folks to get off 120th, go up a few blocks and check these guys out on the way to work instead of the Starbucks drive-through! read more

This is where they roast coffee, and I believe sell it to Whole Foods. We live not all that far from here, and on any given day, you can smell the coffee beans being roasted. You might pass it as it is in the building with administration for Five Star School District. Worst thing, horrible hours open only during the day, m-f. So, we hardly get over there. Did recently and they were closed. Great coffee and you can bring home a few bags of freshly roasted beans. Worth a trip, just double check their hours open. read more

I used to work near Allegro and it was my regular coffee shop. I would still go after work if it was open later but it usually closes mid-afternoon. Now I mostly go to buy my coffee in bulk which I do on a regular basis. Good stuff! If there is a crowd, expect to wait in line a bit as they usually only run one person behind the counter. Some pastries (from whole foods) and some sandwiches that often are gone by noon as the folks who work nearby often snap them up when they come in for their morning coffee. I know I used to do that. Nice little shop. Friendly folks behind the counter. Good coffee either by the cup or the pound. Only reason I don't give them five stars is their short hours. read more

The interior was huge and had a cozy decor. They had a variety of coffee and tea for sale. They also carry chemex products, French press, filters and etc. I had a large latte made with just whole milk. It comes with four shots of espresso. I needed the caffeine so it was a strong cup. The baristas were busy with their own banter but promptly attended to the drink orders and customers. read more

I am a raving fan of Allegro Coffee (both their locations). This location near Bloomfield/Thornton is a wonderful place to grab a cup of coffee with a friend or get some work done. The space is well-designed with small tables for 1-2 people, a couple tables for 3-4, and one large table for a group meeting that seats 4-6. I think the baristas that work there are some of the friendliest I've met, and they make delicious drinks. They also now serve food - pastries, breakfast burritos, salads, etc. The only thing that is strange is their location. It's right next to a school district building for Adams County, very unassuming. They have free parking up front and once you get inside the atmosphere is very modern an inviting. There wasn't anyone at the welcome/info/checkin whatever desk when I came in so I wasn't able to see the facilities(apparently missed the last tour while grabbing a drink at the cafe/awaiting someone at the welcome desk; I'm an out of towner and information sponge). Grabbed two bags of coffee though, and the americano was good. The place was slammed with people at every seat and table there, so I sat at the piano bench while waiting for my drink. There was also a nice small outdoor seating area which was pleasant because in the fall it was empty and the cool air was a winning combination with their product. read more

Although not easily seen off the road because it's in a complex full of office buildings, you'll know you're in the right area when you catch a delighful whiff of beans roasting. Stopped by allegro today for a cup of coffee and a bag of beans to take home but the barista with the beard was so rude (which seems to be his thing) that I just got a cup of coffee. Today was my breaking point of poor customer service, I understand you are a roasting facility and not primarily a coffee shop but you should still strive to be at least somewhat personable . The coffee I got, a Kenyan was cold and tasted bitter and stale. Super unhappy with my experience, you lost me as a customer allegro. The barista with the beard needs to find a career change or work in a kitchen if he hates humans as much as he puts off. read more

Allegro Coffee is by far my favorite coffee joint in the Denver area! They carefully pick, purchase and roast very good beans from parts of the world where they could be difficult to get! I even take a bag home from time to time to continue my Allegro experience when I'm not able to make it to the shop. I live in Aurora so it's a trek to get over to the Arvada area but I make special trips just for Allegro because it's that good! I love the wide open and clean atmosphere of the shop as well as the creative, unique and seasonal coffee drinks! I agree with the other commenters however that extended hours would be great! Often I have said to myself, "I want Allegro!" and then I realize that by the time I drive over that way the shop will be closed (early evening) and everyone will be long gone and it makes me sad because it's so good! read more

And don't get me wrong, I do end up @ Starbucks because the only downfall about the Allegro cafe is their very limited hours of operation! Whoa.. I didn't realize this was the actual Factory for Allegro. Very cool. They have a really nice setup for espresso or drip coffee. I had the drip which was well-balanced. You can see inside the roasting facility and it's just a really cool environment. read more

Cool place. Barista suggested a Brown Sugar Cortado with cinnamon...fabulous! Really liked the option to fill my own bag of freshly roasted beans (like 2 days ago fresh!). Don't have to commit to a whole pound. Got 3 roasts to try at home and can come back for more. read more

Excellent espresso and beans roasted in house. Often times you can smell the beans roasting from the parking lot. They use high quality beans and it shows. I always get the brown sugar cortado and it never disappoints. The service is usually okay but can be spotty which is why I am leaving a 4 instead of 5 star review but the coffee is worth the drive in my opinion. read more

Almost turned around because I thought I was in the wrong place. Do glad I didn't! Retail store is hidden inside doors that look like they enter offices or the school, but once I walked up to the building I could see a OPEN sign through the glass doors. Wonderful selection of beans, drinks, and accessories. Barista was super helpful in selecting a roast to take home with me. Also got a cup of what they had brewed. Both were fantastic.
