This review is based upon work Allen and Sons did at my recommendation for my sister and 97 year old father. I would give them a negative star rating if possible. Allen and Sons did a horrific job "remodeling" a small bathroom. Shower drain was installed above the tub basin so of course the shower does not drain properly. Tile was poorly installed and one was even installed inside out; grout was never sealed. It simply looks awful. They cut a huge rectangular hole in the bottom of the vanity for the pipes to come though, which should have been carefully cut to fit around the pipes. Now there is an open space going directly into their crawl space. Painting job is sloppy at best. Allen quit returning phone calls from my sister and failed to make good on his word. He blamed the poor tile work on his sub contractor explaining that his wife, Mrs. Allen, had told him not to hire the sub back but he "felt sorry for him." Not my sisters problem except that his tile work was awful. Allen provided nothing but poor workmanship and lame excuses. He is not accountable for his work and takes no responsibility for his sub contractors. Also, he did some small projects for us and in the process of hanging a chandelier, broke a globe. After promising repeatedly to replace it, he of course, never did. He is not a man of his word. Would never recommend. read more

Terrible business. He came to my house to give me a quote. Asked for a 50% upfront fee, then NEVER SHOWED UP TO COMPLETE THE WORK. I have asked multiple times to be refunded (which he agreed to refund me) and he still wont send the payment. Unacceptable business and needed to be removed from yelp. read more

I worked with Larell and Josh and they were absolutely great! He got back to me within hours for a quote on either Thursday or Friday and by noon Monday they were here hanging up my curtain rods. They were extremely prompt and courteous making sure to get it right exactly how I wanted it. They also worked really fast and left no mess behind. If you are ever considering hiring this company for a paint job, do yourself a favor and hire someone who know what they are doing. He'll try to sell you on his "15 years" of experience in painting, but the end product is far from the truth. He was hired to remove popcorn and repaint the ceilings. He and his assistant left my home a mess. Paint chips was left everywhere, he painted my light fixtures, left paint on my carpet, and didnt bother to mud and sand prior to painting. Paint started to peel within hours of him painting. I ended up hiring another painter to fix his mess! If you still decide to hire this company, limit the job to simple tasks like screwing in light bulbs. I urge you not pay him anything prior to the completion of the job. And definitely do not pay him via cash app even though he'll insist. read more

This company had me waiting for two weeks about doing my countertops and painting my cabinets. I had to contact him to see if he was still coming. He previously told me he would get with me to decide the color I wanted. Not having any contact with him I phoned and spoke with the owner this past Friday and he promised he would call me on Monday after he made sure his countertop man is available. However, I waited all day and did not hear anything from him. I text him this morning and he claimed he was going to contact me today to do the job on Wednesday. Being a veteran I like for a man to keep his word. He didn't and told me to find another contractor. How can you get angry when you lied about contacting me yesterday?
