For example, you can change your address online but you will not be issued an ID or DL with the new address without going in person and taking the picture. Online instructions do not tell you this. Merritt Island had the first available appointment (4 business days). I was able to check in via text 15 minutes before my scheduled time. The ticket number was sent to me via text so I didn't have to see the person at the front desk. The lobby was clean and well kept. There was no social distancing and 95% of the people were maskless. The wait was about 45 minutes. The clerk was able to help me and answer my questions. I was able to pick up my sorority vanity plates that I didn't know were there. Although Merritt Island is way out of the way, it was a very good experience. I recommend that you call the customer service number and ask all the questions you have before handling business online. The wait time can be atrocious and sometimes it takes a few tries to get through but the telephone rep answered my questions and made me aware of what can be done online and what cannot.
