I was frustrated that the owner/spokesperson Ely insisted I needed two 26-foot trucks and a five person team to move out of a 1096 sq ft space into a 784 sq ft home. Ely stressed me out for an entire week while I agreed I would probably need one full size truck, I was giving a lot away before moving (which I explained) and two large trucks would be overkill. The move ended up needing half of one 26 foot truck. Afterwards, I get no acknowledgement or apology from Ely on his mis-diagnosis. he had me stressed for days on the cost of my move. I am sure I paid for the extra large truck they needed to fill with gas and drag around the entire move. At this point, I'm just glad it's over.

The young men that packed and moved my things were all incredibly hard working, polite and willing to go the extra mile for me. Everything arrived in great shape and arranged as I wanted. I just can't thank this group enough. They were wonderful and I highly recommend them. It was a stress free move and actually fun to talk to all these hard workers.

I drove an hour home, then drove an hour back for my 2pm appointment. I was there for 2.5 hours while my car was in theory being worked on. My trailer hitch was being warrantee replaced due to rust and a bend. First the kid they called a mechanic told me my hitch was fine and tried to send me on my way. Then he tried to tell me my bent hitch had always been that way. After that he said he would replace it, but all I saw him do was walk around the building and talk to other employees. After two and a half hours he informed me that my trailer hitch was rusty and I would have to go to a REAL mechanic to get it removed. During the 2.5 hours I sat there, I had the opportunity to watch the rest of the employees and listen to them. The F word seems to be one of their favorites. I heard them laughing at costumers after they left. I heard that the store manager was either getting married or was at a wedding(perhaps the route cause of their behavior). One person called in looking for a job, they put it on speaker phone and stood around describing the job in a highly unprofessional manner. There was a female employee who was clearly wearing a thong and no bra(the male employees seemed to like following her around). So after two trips to Augusta(1 hour each way) and 2.5 hours of sitting in their building, I left without a hitch being put onto my car. 6.5 total hours of my day waisted. If I could rank this U-Haul at zero stars, I would!

Moving is super stressful and time consuming. I broke down and hired D&J Movers to help my…read moredaughter, my cat, and our fish move from a two bedroom apartment into a three bedroom house. Mind you, it's the middle of winter and the country is in the grips of a global pandemic. I called the guys at D&J and my call was answered by a real person, there was no "Press 1 for this...press 2 for that..." I easily scheduled a weekend appointment-even with the threat of winter storms they were willing to keep an eye on the forecast and stressed their flexibility. He quoted me that a typical move like mine would be about 4 hours. I had packed all that I could into moving boxes. With the exception of furniture. Which, they broke apart AND reassembled perfectly in my new place!!! Score! They arrived promptly on a Saturday morning, they practiced masking and social distancing and you could tell the way the team performed seamlessly that these guys knew what they were doing and they treated my possessions with kid gloves. They went above and beyond during this freezing winter move. With one guy on his knees with a hammer chiseling my frozen BBQ grill from the snow bank that encompassed it! They accept cash and check only -I wished I could have paid with my debit card as I seldom use cash now-a-days. But, that said, the crew waited for me to dash to the ATM up the street, so I paid that way. For me, they charged $130.00 an hour. And it was beyond worth it! They spent 3.5 hours between both places, that included disassembling and reassembling my bed and my daughters bed. These guys know what they are doing. They were quick, professional, approachable and treated my furniture like their own!
