Moses Morar was my psychiatrist who prescribed me medication in 2022 and 2023 when I relocated to SOCAL area and was recommended to see him. I recently was advised by my Primary Care physician to go back to Therapy and back to a psychiatrist to get back on medication to help my problems related to my ongoing condition from childhood. I relayed this to Moses Morar, and to my surprise He had no recollection of me being his patient. The blatant disrespect the physician even had to question if I was telling the truth is despicable. I'm a grown man, not some teen punk trying to get drugs.. I thought I had rapport with this guy, and at least a paper trail of receipts on his end. But Nada. Just me and my solid book of receipts and past prescriptions, he prescribed me and paper trail. Very upsetting and embarrassing. I paid btw. I am incredibly disappointed with my care here at alliance psychiatric group. I have changed doctors over the past few years. My last doctor was impossible to get ahold of if i had any issues outside of an appointment. Which tends to happen when you are new and trying new medications. The office doesn't answer the phone. They only talk over text. Over the past year I have been very consistent with rebooking my appointments at the end of my appointments to avoid the front office. I must have forgotten to rebook an appointment because I was nearing the end of my bottle of anti-depressants and noticed that I didn't have an appointment on the books. I tried contacting the front office and I asked them if i could get a short order to hold me over and they refused and told me that the only opening would be after my prescription ran out. They offered no solution to my issue. They ended up squeezing me in but not until a lot of back and forth. Last week they send me this text: hello Stephanie, your insurance is currently returning as inactive! I just got married and ended up having to change insurance. When i told them it was Tricare and asked if they took it they replied, "We do not accept Tricare!" I am fine with finding another doctor because I cannot stand the incompetency of the front desk. Why are you texting me? Why is there an explanation point at the end? Why do you have absolutely no customer service etiquette at all! You are dealing with people with anxiety issues. 3 years ago, when i first came here these interactions would rile me up into tears. Thankfully I've grown but after telling them I'll have to find another doctor the response was, "I'll cancel the appointment!" My last appointment was pretty serious. Does Dr. Niko even know that I am no longer a patient due to insurance issues? Isn't there a process one needs to go through to leave a doctor's care as I find a replacement? I'm pretty upset I'm not even getting a last check in to make sure that I am okay due to the nature of our last appointment. read more

I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Mike Kelly over a 6-month period while I was in Orange County. During our first session after hearing me give a little background on myself, he asked me two questions that I wasn't able to answer. He described what I was experiencing emotionally, what I was most likely thinking on a daily basis back to me, and he was spot on. My husband was recovering from being misprescribed an adhd drug from another doctor, had lost his job, and on the tail end of a manic episode when we visited Dr. Kelly. We thought he was drug resistant and forever doomed to suffer. Dr. Kelly knew exactly what my husband was going through, prescribed him a very common anti-depressant and told him to stick with it because it will get worse before it gets better. He was totally right. My husband still has anxiety but he's finding ways to manage it. We are living fear-free of his next panic-attack or anxious episode. I needed a refill of my antidepressant and had my appt over the phone. He said he would call it in right away but he never did. I called many times and talked to his assistant but it still was never filled. I don't recommend a doctor that would let their patient go through the horrible withdrawals that happens if you stop your medication cold turkey. Mike Kelley is the sole reason I can write this today. I can write because I'm alive, and still progressing toward a point where I'm considering that this might be a good thing. Ever feel this way? It's bad. Too bad to describe with words. I have suffered bipolar 2 with intractable, untreatable depression since I was eight years old, and probably longer than that. I'm 64. Listen: This is an honest and true number --between 50 and 100 Electroconvulsive Therapy (electroshock) treatments. For some depressed people they're magical. Didn't work for me at all and I lost a lot of memory. I have been hospitalized nine times. Mike didn't do any voodoo magic stuff (and believe me, I've tried some). What he did was put me on a semiexperimental, hospital-supervised course of treatment. I ignored him the first time he told me to get it because, what the hell. Nothing works. Now here's where Mike's special talent comes in: Instead of abandoning me to certain death, he INSISTED I try this new course of action during my second visit. He brought me a brochure. He told me to go. I won't mention the course of treatment by name because a doctor has to decide (and in my case insist) that you follow the particular treatment you have been prescribed. My wife met Mike Kelly when she visited a hospital emergency room needing someone to administer a shot to my son. It was a Saturday, and Mike said that he would meet us at this office when he got done in the ER. It was only the first time that he went above and beyond the call of duty in treating my son. We expected it to just be a shot, but he was so good with our son that we wanted him to be his doctor. His ability to take a patient that is not open to medication or help, and turn him into a cooperating patient was amazing. Great bedside manner and very thorough in his evaluation.
