We heard chain saws this morning coming from our back fence neighbor's yard, that was fine. The crew started trimming our sumac trees, that too was fine where they overhung their yard. Then we noticed a large ladder in our yard with a worker aggressively pruning one of our trees. That was NOT fine. Alliance did not ask for permission to be in our yard, nor should they have trimmed back the tree so much where it was not shading the neighbor. Very unprofessional. We asked them to remove the ladder as we did not grant them permission to be there. They removed the ladder but still continued aggressively trimming the tree. Now there is barely any green left, it's just a massive trunk and limbs. read more

Guy who came out to give me and my neighbor an the estimate was completely unprofessional. First he cut my neighbors tree over seven years ago and remembered the job, but failed to tell him that he needed to service the tree every 2 to 3 years . That's money the company missed out on over the last six years. Didn't make eye contact with me at all nor did he ask if we needed any further services which I did on the other side of my house. After he was done talking to my neighbor, he just jumped in the truck didn't hand me a business car didn't look back nothing completely rude. Im hoping i can get a better estimate then the one he gave. I wish i would've read the reviews before he arrived . The owner, Alberto came out & gave an estimate & after getting other estimates, we felt best about choosing Alberto & his team. Alberto (very nice guy), came out and gave me a quote to remove a birch tree and three other stumps. The utility companies came and marked all important areas; the crew came out yesterday and cut the tree down, ground the stump out along with other stumps that were previously left by another company. Ok, so I don't usually write reviews...but Alliance with Alberto giving the estimate, and Alex and his crew doing the work were amazing. I've hired other tree trimming companies in the past, but Alliance differentiated itself by actually caring about our tree as if they owned the tree. They did a beautiful job and cleaned the debris so thoroughly that if we hadn't known they had been here, we would have thought our landscapers had just left. No saw dust, leaves, twigs, anything! The criticism about Albert's communication skills is somewhat warranted. We did wait for calls a few times but nothing was critical in our yard, like downed branches, falling trees, etc., we decided to be patient and we are obviously glad we did. Not only did he NOT show up, he didn't have the courtesy to call/text to let us know he needed to cancel. When we attempted to call him twice, no answer. Text him, and no answer. Will probably go with them. Will update after they do the job if I select them, but they seem very good. Called them for service, set up within same week, came on time. They did an amazing job. I had an idea of what it would look like when they were done, and it looked even better. They cleaned everything up so that it looked better than when they started. They completely removed a tree and stump and made the area readily available for planting. They also trimmed two trees. They did a great job. Price was great compared to others, and payment methods are whatever you need, so give them a call. All very nice people. I got referred to Alberto by a few people because he had done a great job for them. I reached out in the summer to get a quote for a tree trimming and it was the highest quote by more than 30% than the rest of the quotes. But, since he was referred by a friend, I decided to go with him. I didn't attempt to schedule the trimming until September. I first tried calling around the 8th of September. I never got a call returned. Then on the 13th I started texting him. He replied to me on the 16th and asked for a date to schedule the trimming but I did not hear from him. (Even though I replied to his text within minutes with times I was available). I texted him a few times after but did not hear anything until the 24th. He did apologize about the delayed response but his excuse was that he was out a few days. But I had been trying to reach him for over 2 weeks! By this point I had already reached out to someone new and they had been able to schedule me as well. When I told him that I had decided to go with someone else his only reply was "LOL". I was glad I ended up not going with him because he seems very unprofessional and does not know what good customer service is. It turns out he was upset that I had waited 3 months to decide to prune my tree. Or at least that was his comment of why he was not replying to my calls and text. Just very unprofessional. I would rather he have told me, "Hey you waited a long time to move forward with the quote so It's going to be a while before I can schedule you", or even "Hey I have enough business and your tree pruning is not worth it to me". But instead he was unresponsive and then his explanations for why he was unresponsive did not add up. Will not recommend him to anyone I know. To unreliable and rude. read more

At first scheduling seemed to be difficult as the days I was available didn't necessarily coincide with the days Alliance was able to do the work. Once we had a day pinned down, they took about two hours to get rid of an Asian Berry tree and grind out the stump as well as trim roughly 23 cypress trees I had in both the front and back yard. They cleaned up quickly and were in and out. Since I wanted to keep some of the wood for firewood they cut it into manageable pieces and stacked it on the side of the yard. We tried to contact Alliance for an olive and potentially several other trees to be removed. After a roughly two week delay Alberto texted us (no phone calls in this, by the way) saying he could come by between 11:30-12:00 the following Saturday. We waited until 2 and then texted him back asking if he would be coming by. No response. At 5 someone from his office texted again (what's with not calling your customers) saying he was held up at another job and wouldn't be by but we could reschedule. I responded that would be fine, but that we would expect them to offer some kind of a incentive (or something) for standing us up on a Saturday with no contact. I understand if you get held up on a job, but if you use texting as your primary customer communication method, I would expect you could spare 30 seconds to simply text "so sorry, can't make it today," before you make working people waste a Saturday waiting around for you. After agreeing to reschedule we have not heard back after a week, and I haven't felt the desire to reach out again after the poor service. I'm surprised because of the other positive reviews on here, but the customer service was so lacking we didn't even make it to meeting, can't really give more than a star for that. read more

However, several months ago I asked to be put on their schedule and even after talking with Alberto and leaving a voice mail I still have not received a call to schedule the work.
