She's amazing, professional and has helped me with many of my physical ailments. I highly recommend her. On my recent visit, I also had a treatment by Andrew Bell, Physical Therapist for IMS. I discovered this clinic because I was seeking a place that did direct billing to your health insurance. Not only do they direct bill, the practitioner I see is experienced. The staff here are always courteous and accommodating. I don't have any complaints at all. I highly recommend Erin Z. The clinic is located on west broadway between Oak and Granville. Was recommended to come here by a friend as I needed to get some deep tissue work done after completing a marathon a couple days ago. Went to see Kelin, one of the RMT's. He knew exactly to pin point the problem areas and worked with me on pain tolerance starting gradual and eventually putting on the pressure. I felt so much better afterwards. Let me be the first person to say I was so weary of chiropractics before visiting my current, Dr. Vincent Ng. I'd been to so many before, and found no relief. I stumbled across Dr. Ng during a desperate hour of sciatica, and his soft tissue skills (muscle) are truly exceptional. He uses all types of moves to release the muscles causing the problems, and finishes with adjustments. The immediate pain relief from his muscle work are more effective than anything I've ever tried- And I'm in school to be an RMT! Thank you so much Dr. Vincent! Unfortunately, I had a very poor experience, especially considering all the positive reviews here. I was really hoping to like this place as it's close to my home. - I arrived on time but the appointment started late & finished early. - They used an adjustable chiropractic table for the massage instead of an actual massage table. It was very uncomfortable as the table did not provide neck support. Therefore I ended up having to lie on my back to get a back massage(!) It was strange and ineffective. - I had a knot in my shoulder blade which was my primary issue to work on but it was barely worked on. Not a professional service at all. read more

I pulled a muscle in my lower back during yoga a couple days ago and called Alliance Wellness the following morning to see if I could schedule a massage. I was surprised and grateful they were able to get me an appointment with Jodi Blasco that afternoon. I was a little nervous as this was my first massage ever, but Jodi was very welcoming and made me very comfortable. After the hour I felt 100% better and my back is still feeling great today. I went for RMT massage and after I've asked to charge on ongoing approve ICBC claim receptionist denied as she couldn't find my claim approved. As it was Sunday I've asked to wait till Monday to contact my ICBC adjustor. I was denied for that request as well. I mumbled to myself that those big corporations are the worst as they don't give a dime about customers. As small business owner, we have to be really careful how we approach every kind of customer, no matter what are their request are. Big corporation have monopoly and they don't care about customer reviews. Most of their services are paid by government, insurance companies and there is no customer appreciation or boutique small business personal customer approach. So, a week later I've got call from their manager and I was slammed and lectured how I was inappropriate and rude, and didn't have a chance to explain what really happened. At the end of her monologue, I was told if I don't like their service, I don't need to go back there. Of course, I wont for sure. By the way their rooms aren't sanitized properly after each service. And after all, in the case of poor customer service, consumers want to be treated with dignity, be assured that the problem won't repeat itself, that the issue was fixed, and so on. Everyone makes mistakes and deserve second chance, but this was to much to forgive. read more

I spotted this clinic because of their option to have direct payment via insurance which makes it handy for us! I did not have expectations. The RMT I saw was Charli Carl. How amazing! I've been seeing him now for few months and it has been so therapeutic every time I've come by. He is very technical, professional, helpful and even when you come in with some pain and aches- I always leave feeling so relaxed and reset. Absolutely luck to have found this place! I go here exclusively for Silva Schoenherr. She is so good at what she does and had helped me recover from a very painful injury. She always suggests stretches and exercises for me to do on my own to ensure full recovery and strength to avoid getting injured again in the future. I signed up with Taylor Jones RMT a couple months ago for a shoulder/lat injury that had been bothering me for months and effecting my daily activities. I had seen other RMT's that unfortunately did not offer much help. I was extremely happy with the work that Taylor did. Not only is he a very knowledgeable professional in his field but he is also a very good person. There were a couple times when Taylor kept me later that the allotted time to continue working with my shoulder. This only speaks to his passion for his profession, and his willingness to help people. Many other RMTs would only spend the allotted time even if they hadn't even touched my shoulder. After 4 sessions with Taylor and working with the exercises he recommended me my shoulder/lat is now 99% pain free and I can finally get back to my regular activities without any pain :) :) :) I HIGHLY recommend Taylor to anyone. I haven't worked with any of the other staff at Alliance, but if they are hiring people like Taylor then no doubt the rest of the staff will be great! read more

I have been seeing Dr. Ackerman for about two years now and have no complaints at all. I have had a really difficult time managing various sports injuries, arthritis and fibromyalgia until I was able to find a program at alliance that worked. I use to see Dr. Ackerman 2 to 4 times per week but now I have cut down significantly to as little as twice a month. My SI joint rarely bothers me anymore and I rarely find myself in a position where I can't complete my daily tasks. If there is that emergency they are very good about fitting me in same day. Dr. Ackerman has stayed at the office for me late a few times. I really like how she takes the time to asses what you need and she doesn't do the quick snap and pop and send you on your way. The soft tissue work in combination is really great. I have also seen Dr. Seto several times for IMS and pain injections. She cleared up my plantar fasciitis along with treAtment from Dr. Ackerman and massage therapy. I actually learned how to build up my arches and didn't have to invest $800 on orthotics! I have seen massage therapists several times at the office and each time have had positive experiences. I have also seen Dr. Parmar when Dr. Ackerman has been on vacation and have had an equally positive experience. I currently and will continue to go to Alliance Wellness. read more

I have been going to Andrew Bell (physiotherapist) for a couple of years now for different issues and he has always "fixed" me. The most recent one is muscle pain in my right arm. Treatments include deep massages and acupuncture. Yesterday he introduced me to IMS (intramuscular stimulation) and I swear it worked like magic, no exaggeration here. I can use my arm without pain or difficulty. Andrew is very professional, friendly, excellent manners. He always make me feel at ease and comfortable. He knows what he's doing! read more

After visiting numerous RMTs and physiotherapists in Vancouver over a period of a year and a half, I almost gave up hope of ever resolving my shoulder and back pain which was greatly limiting my ability to perform simple daily tasks. I never sought treatment from a chiropractor before, but after watching videos on active release therapy I thought I would try it. It worked! Both Jaimie and Jaipaul helped me! They both completely understood my condition and provided excellent treatment which did not aggrevate my already inflamed muscles. Also, they recommended a minimal number of treatments and never tried to push additional services I did not need. Everyone is always friendly and the facilities are clean. read more

I've been going to Alliance Wellness Clinic now for several months for regular physio appointments and I've been very impressed by the team and the work they do. I work in the service industry and often have severe pain in overused parts of my body, making regular visits to Alliance has become an important part of maintaining my physical health. The staff is very knowledgeable and goes the extra mile to make sure I'm stretching and taking care of my body between visits. I usually visit Dr. Ackerman, but there have been a few emergencies where I've had to see other members of the team, and they have always made the effort to get me an appointment and heal the pain as quickly as possible. read more

I saw a chiropractor and a ND here and had very negative experiences with both: one resulting in an ongoing issue. The chiropractor here is dangerous. Not only did he rush out at the end of my appointment without checking my hip alignment after the adjustments, but I have a delicate frame and he used techniques that were way too forceful to adjust my upper back. A ligament that attaches to my first rib is now sprained and my back makes sounds when I breathe in sometimes. When I let him know of the issue, he declined to offer me a pro bono visit to investigate the damage *he* did! NDs here are way overpriced and the one I saw was extremely unhelpful. She suggested I buy a supplement which ended up giving me very bad side effects and overall had the opposite effect of what it was supposed to do. She didn't respond to serveral of my email questions and was not cooperative with how I wanted to move forward with treatment. When I told her of my side effects she asked me to book for 15 minutes and when I did, she changed her mind and told me to book in for longer. This was coming from a doctor who knew I had low-income so this was quite insensitive. I would not recommend this clinic. The two people I saw were friendly and nice, but in my opinion, there are much more professional, caring and affordable places out there, that WON'T give you more problems! read more

I have seen Andrew Bell a number of times and each time he has been professional, courteous and produced results. He can make you feel very much at ease as he sticks needles in you! I had a piriformis problem and he was the only therapist who eased my pain using ims. I would highly recommend both Andrew and ims for alleviating muscular pain. Kudos. read more

I came in to see Dr. Akerman for a chronic pain I'd been having in my hip area. I had about 5 or 6 appointments where Dr. Akerman performed ART. The 1st couple of appointments were decent. The ART was helpful at treating the symptom but she didn't try to figure out the CAUSE of the pain. The pain would just come back shortly after my appointment. She always seemed like she was rushing to get to her next appointment. I thought it would be helpful if we had more time to discuss the cause so while I was booking my appointment, I asked for a longer appointment. The receptionist explained that I would be charged more- which was totally fine with me but when I came in to see Dr. Akerman, she was again in a huge rush and I was done in 15 minutes. She mentioned to me that longer appointments are not necessary. I thought that was funny because I wanted to discuss further the cause of the pain but she wouldn't give me to opportunity to do so. Dr. Akermans bedside manner is great, but I don't feel she truly cares about treating her patients. I got the feeling that she is just trying to maximize her profits at the clinic by seeing as many patients as possible. I have since been going to Bentall Physiotherapy and they have been attentive and treating my WHOLE body....not just the area that the pain is present in. read more

Dr Jordana Aziz has literally made such a difference in terms of my health in just a few sessions. I can't express my gratitude in words - that's just how amazing she is. She's caring and has a vast knowledge, works with your budget and never forces you to do anything you're not comfortable with. I already got my spouse going as well and he said the same thing after one session. I recommend her even if you don't have a specific health issue, and if you do she will get you back on track and ease you into it, making easy goals to gradually make life changing decisions. read more

I have to post up a review here because of the very quick relief I received for a very long term problem. I have suffered from long term back pain predominantly due to sports injuries (a few car accidents as well) and from time to time something will happen to cause the pain to flare up and become nearly unbearable. Recently, after one of these flare ups, a friend highly recommended me to see Dr. Stella Seto who could help me with prolozone and ozone therapy treatment. Long story short, after only two treatments 3 days apart this past week, I can honestly say that I can't remember the last time I've had so little back pain, it's difficult to describe what that kind of relief feels like! Stella is incredibly professional and intelligent and will answer any question you have in as much detail as you like to help you be well informed. I quickly felt very comfortable and would recommend her to anyone, especially for chronic pain and joint issues! read more

I came here because I couldnt get into any other rmt. I don't have any complaints about the actual massage, however there are a few things that were off. First of all, the clinic is new and beautiful, and the massage room was large and roomy. What I didn't like was that the blinds were open, and there's no dimmer in the room. There is also no music in the room. Also, I find the prices quite high. When I initially booked, they told me it would be $105.. In all the clinics I've been to, hst is usually included. The only place where hst is not included in the listed price is the spa. So after hst, I paid $117.60. This is very high for the area since broadway wellness across the street is $100, taxes in and crossroads clinic down the street is $95 taxes in for 1 hour. They tell me they are trying to get more nurses in since we have great coverage, but after coverage, i still need to pay $17.5 for the massage whereas if I go to the other clinics, I dont have to pay a cent extra. No wonder why they have trouble getting nurses in, I will not be returning here. read more

I'd been going to this place for quite some time now booking and trying out different RMT's. All of them are very exceptional in terms of strokes and techniques but what I don't like (and probably anybody who has the same experience) is that they are consistently short changing me of my booked treatment time. For example, I booked a 60 minute massage 4:00 - 5:00, I always arrive 10-15min early, the therapist called me in 5 min. late @4:05 and ended at 4:55. I have the habit of looking at the clock as soon as i enter the room, and i look at it again when I'm already laying on the table and as soon as the massage finishes. It seemed to me that the therapists were counting their preparations of the room and bed (before and after my massage}towards my time. I always book for massages, imagine if i"m losing 10min+ for every treatment 6 treatment can already yield an hour. I'm aware that it's not out of my pocket payment because it's a benefit but it's also a well deserved benefit out of hard work. read more
