The nurses forgot to block off the radiation room and I had come in through another exam room 2 - to let them know I was already inside w my husband as his apt 15 minutes prior and I knew they would call my name in the waiting room. It's important to know about your plastic surgery options. After I had four Mohs slices, Dr. Leonik Ahumada preformed plastic surgery on my nose. My nose is disfigured. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He gave me two options but did not say how either one would restore my nose.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I went with the one that required a skin graft from my shoulder. The skin on a shoulder is thinner and it did not cover all of my nose. After my nose healed from Dr. Ahumada's restoration, I went to other plastic surgeons for second opinions. I always schedule the first appointment of the day, and in those appointments, she has not even been in the office for 20 minutes past the appointment time. I have been very happy with my care at Alliant. Dr. Mazloom found and biopsied two spots found to be squamous cell they had to freeze. I also had several other spots treated, which I have had to do for years now. A bit of a warning though- I have BCBS insurance and just moved here. The cost to freeze each area of my skin (not including where cancer was found- that understandably cost more because they freeze it three times) is 2.5x more expensive per spot than my prior Dermatologist of 15 years just two hours away. I have insurance but I also have a mandatory large deductible, so it is all out of pocket for me. (I'm not old enough for Medicare ) The bills have been quite shocking. I don't understand why care is so much more expensive here. Why does it cost $167 to take 10 seconds to freeze a spot? I wouldn't have had a tiny benign wart frozen had I known that ahead of time. I'm scheduled for BLU therapy on three areas and was told they cannot tell me the price until the day of the procedure or after the procedure. Every other doctor I've ever had can tell me ahead of time so I can plan / budget or choose whether/when to have it done. I just received and reviewed their bill for the other procedures I had and now that I've seen them I might cancel because I'm afraid of what the BLU bill will be. If you have insurance to cover it all- it's a great place to go! Nice people and great competent care. read more

I'm truly disappointed! I was recommended electrodessication for my facial moles (both raised but small). The aesthetician did the procedure and the area turned black and unsightly. it was a quick less than 5 min procedure. I was told the moles will form a scab and fall off naturally after a few days. Well the moles did not fall off. They look the same in pictures like before the procedure but worse.I checked online and electrodessication done elsewhere had the patient's moles flattened right then and there. So how come mine was still raised & pigmented a few days after the scabs fell off? It looks like a messy at home apple cider vinegar treatment. The aesthetician Tiana is very nice but If I paid $100 to have something removed, it should be removed or atleast attempted to fix the aftermath of it on my FACE. After the 2nd session one of the moles is still raised but bigger than original. I was told she went deeper the 2nd session but why would you do that without consulting with me first? Now it just look like some acne scar. Tell me why a small mole needs multiple sessions and why it left a red bigger raised lesion after the 2nd session? At the 3rd appointment, they decided to not do anything and let it "heal" longer so I set up a 4th apt.The after picture looks messy like it wasn't done by a professional in a derm office. It's upsetting. -- Jessica the manager called stating she will cancel my 4th apt bc of the bad review I wrote. I asked her why they can't fix the problem that they created and her justification was that she doesn't recommend further treatment due to my skin color. Why did they go ahead with the procedure in the 1st place then?When I ask her why it was undertreated and still left a raised scar and discoloration, she had no answer. She said they will terminate me as a patient with no solution to the problem. That is no valid justification to terminate a patient. Shame on you guys for making me go to the clinic 3 times and wasting my time and moles. I had to deal with 2 wounds on my face for 3 months. I am sitting in the front waiting room of Alliant Dermatology on 466 in The Villages waiting for husband to emerge from the back. He has received wonderful treatment for a minor basal skin cancer procedure. The doctors are very good about communicating the specifics of their patients' condition. But to be honest, I am most impressed with the lady who works the front check in window. Her ability to correspond with a wide variety of personalities is amazing! Her voice is friendly as she explains, "no, I am not able to expedite your visit by allowing you to go in front of someone else" and "No, I do not have a charger for your cell phone." She has given very clear directions to their other office locations for patients arriving for their appointment at the wrong office without making them feel silly for making the mistake. I also work in an office setting and I truly hope that our staff practices this level of customer service. read more

Doctor Casper was great. However after my cancer was removed I went to wait in an exam room for Doctor Ahumadar. A nurse came in and gave me a numbing shot in my nose. Once the Doctor Ahumadar came in he said no stiches and it would heal on its on, come back in 2 weeks. Today I went to my follow up appointment and told Dr. Ahumadar that I was not satisfied with the hole in my nose. He told me why didn't you have a skin graft. A skin was not an option given to me. I now have to go back on Thursday for a skin graft. I am not sure if its a insurance or medicare game they are playing. Be aware. read more

I was new to the area and needed a dermatologist to monitor my sun-damaged skin and Actinic Keratosis. Dr. Casper was recommended by my insurance agent and I could not be more satisfied after my initial visit to Allianz Dermatology! Although It took me several months to get an appointment with Dr Casper, it was worth the wait! On my first visit, he and his nurse took the time to understand my history of Basal and Squamous skin cancers along with the treatments of sun-damaged skin that I had received previously. He provided a thorough exam and ultimately used liquid nitrogen to freeze many pre-cancerous AK's on my face, ears, hands and top of my head. He suggested an alternative treatment to the "blue light" treatments I had received previously for the sun damaged skin on my face. I am pursuing that option as well as the scheduling of my six-month follow-up visit with Dr. Casper. read more

I was a patient of Jen Davis at Alliant Dermatology. I had an appt in March of 2020 and my insurance through my employer was billed for reimbursement. I paid the $35.00 copay that was due at time of service. Fast forward to March of 2022 when i received my first bill at my home for services received in March 2020. I had no idea I owed any money i had an appointment set up for April 1, 2022. I received a reminder call the day before telling me if i didn't pay the $250.00 they would not see me. I took that as a threat and told Monica to cancel my appt. I have never been treated like this before. They made me feel as though I was a thief. Monica told me they had an incompetent billing dept and that was why it took 2 years to figure out they never billed me. Jen Davis was a fabulous provider but now she is gone. Too bad. She will be missed Does Dr Casper realize how his staff is treating customers and does he care? I would love a written reply from him. This is just not right. Dr Casper has been my Dermatologist since he opened his practice. The practice scheduling is very good. I am seen at my appointment time and the staff is courteous and professional. I had a skin condition that wasn't clearing and he sent me to the Dermatology Clinic at the University of Southern Florida to have me seen by the head of the department who was also his professor. It was a terrific experience and the diagnosis of an uncommon condition and appropriate treatment went back to Dr Casper who had already started me on the appropriate medication. My last appointment was at his newest office in Colony Plaza and the quietness of the environment and efficiency of his team made my visit a 10 on the 1 to 10 scale. Although I have friends that like Alliant Dermatology and I am sure many of their Doctors are good. I had, what I consider a bad experience with Dr. Knapp there. I had a tumor like growth (mobile, movable under my skin on the right hand between the thumb and forefinger. Instead of just cutting and removing it he insisted that he needed to do a PUNCH HOLE BIOPSY to verify it was malignant even though I would have wanted it removed regardless. This meant that he punched holes in the tumor releasing its contents to adjacent areas as a side affect. (My thought is he was given a commission for the lab biopsy charges which were done in Alliant's own lab). He then did a MOHS procedure (a $1621 procedure to cut and biopsy until all SUBMITTED samples came back negative) - implying the all malignant tissue was gone. The first report came back showing malignancy still remained at THE CENTER of the 1.5" hole he had dug into my hand to remove tissue. The subsequent reports said he then dug down "at 45 degree angle to get tissue out". BUT WHAT I SAW WAS HE CONTINUED TO CUT WIDER (into the area around NOT DOWN where the malignant tissue was. He cut and artery (squirting lots) which he closed sealing the input, but leaving the other end of the dissected artery open. Also I wonder if the malignancy is gone since from what I saw he cut around getting uninfected tissue, NOT down where the malignant tissue was indicated, thus getting GOOD tissue to get a final "all clear" biopsy. Dr. Knapp wanted the closure to be done THE NEXT DAY by Dr. Ahumada - which was a 15 minute session where I feel the $855 session stitched through an adjacent artery (because I have had over the last 90 days after the session blood spots (little bubbles of blood) under my skin on my hand. I hope they adjust their physician reimbursement NOT to reward more tests (which might have facilitated Dr. Knapp to just cut and remove the tumor the first time, while it was intact, which I definitely wanted removed even if not malignant, instead of punching holes in it. The hand is important and I understand difficult and complex but I feel this surgery was incomplete and some day I may get a biopsy of the center section to see if malignant cells still are there. read more

A horrific experience! During an annual exam, they spotted a mole which proved to be a tiny melanoma on the top of my foot. Thinking it would be a simple procedure I had the Dr remove it. What a nightmare! He created a giant incision that (after weeks) would not heal. I attempted to make several followup appointments w no success. Voicemail w every call. So I finally walked in and waited for the Dr. only to be told I needed to go to a wound care facility in Leesburg. The Dr had no idea how to address my final wound care. Amazing! I resorted to seeing a plastic surgeon who confirmed that this type of procedure was very dangerous and risky. Alliant Derm should have never done this type of cancer removal. The would is finally healing but I still have limited use of my foot and lots of sensitivity when walking without shoes. Be for warned!!! read more

I was referred to Alliant and the office was very crowded and I waited a little while. So, I was a little perturbed. However, once I was in the room, I saw Kruti Ghandi, PA and was greeted with her smiling face, efficient and extremely pleasant attitude. She decided to take a biopsy of an area of concern and another area that I did not know about. The area of concern came back as a basal cell after a week. We scheduled a MOHS procedure to remove it in a month. I got a call within a week because there had been a cancellation. Dr. Casper is a sweet, gracious, talented doctor and performed the procedure and even called in the evening to see if I was OK.
