I was given a…read moreprice a by them to complete the job and then was told by them I would have to pay an extra £900 if they was going to do the job 2 days before they was booked in to do the job because the employee who came out to do the survey had messed up on the amounts of bags of screed it would need (he said 7 bags when the fitter said it would take 32 even though he had done 2 surveys). After begrudgingly paying the extra because the work had been booked in for weeks and them telling me they wouldn't do the job unless I paid the extra they finished the install but not to a very good standard. I never leave reviews on companies like this but I feel I need to on this occasion as I wouldn't want this to happen to anyone else and I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.

Agree with the review below, bought and paid for an expensive carpet from them many years ago,…read moreOnce they had our cash and the carpet had been fitted they didn't want to know even though the carpet was sold with a 10 year guarantee During fitting they damaged the carpet and never mentioned it, I assume they thought/hoped we would never notice it because it was under a sofa When we did notice they refused to accept they had caused the damage even though it was very obvious To be fair it was the father that was in charge of the shop at the time and him that we had the issue with, maybe its different now with his sons in charge but I would personally never use GCW or any of their companies again

When I said I was only after cost for fit and not supply he got very belligerent with me in front of my wife and kids and stormed out of the house.
