Ben and the crew worked quickly and efficiently to deliver a quality road surface for our neighborhood. Immediately upon completion, we received 1 1/2 inches of rain which proved the value of their grading, but also caused them to do further additions to our construction in bank a ditch across a wooded area assisting runoff to an existing culvert. I would NOT recommend Hollen Family Excavating for any service. The owner delayed my project…read moreseveral times without notice and did not complete the work as promised. At one point, unbeknownst to me, the owner was operating a piece of heavy equipment on my property while extremely intoxicated (and carrying a firearm), hit my house (I felt it shake), and did not repair the damage. When I asked about getting proof of his insurance to start a claim for repairs, he refused to provide any and instead told me to find a contractor to give a quote for the repairs, and the owner would pay me in cash. Hollen Family Excavating also did a road project that resulted in my entire driveway drainage system (and several neighbors) being completely clogged with soil. I had to dig 20 feet of pipe out by hand that now continually fills with dirt every time it rains. Avoid this company at all costs.
