I called for relief from a private student loan, and they said they could file a borrower's defense for me and get my money back, sent me a form to sign, and charged me a grand upfront. The contract absolves them from failures, and you can not get your money back after 48 hours. They asked about my credit cards at the first consultation, and I didn't sign up for credit counseling. I signed up to get my Borrowers Defense form filed and my federal education loans and private loans through Sallie Mae and navient refunded. It turns out they are just a credit counseling firm taking advantage of the debt burn of student loans. They can't do anything about secured private loans and do not do out and for borrowers defense discharge applications with the Department of Education. If you have student loan debt, avoid this company like a plague...$1000 dollars before one minute of work and a contract that says if you don't ask within 48 hours, you can't get your money back. I've been dealing with Allied Financial Service since 11/21/2018 and they never kept there Promise! I paid the fees for their services, sent all of the paper work and when I called them back, they had no idea what was going on. The person who I spoke to at that time said " OPPS! somebody drop the ball on your case!" This after 6 months! I have called them back more than 30 time over the last 5 years and this is what I get: I'll have someone call you back in 5 mins! No one does. Let me transfer you to Processing! No one Answers If I do get though to Processing. It's let me look into it and I'll cal you back! The never do! Several time when I call its: Because of Covid, we can't wok on your case! Reading a lot of mixed reviews, but I will give my personal review with Allied Financial Services. I found them randomly on Google to help get my Student Loans Discharged/Forgiven and they informed me about the process and answered all of my questions. I was able to call them or message them at any time and they were always very responsive. I signed a contract and paid for the services. I was afraid that this was going to be a scam and that I was going to lose my money, but they proved me wrong! I recently received an email notice stating that my loans were approved for forgiveness! I started my journey with Allied Financial back in February of this year. I found them in an article concerning the possible discharge of student loan debt from closed for-profit schools that fraudulently took out student loans. My rep is Alfred Lomeli. He told me many good things that can happen working with the company and told me the cost. I was okay with it since I was paying the same amount towards the student loan. I requested that he give me an account number and a lockbox address to set up automatic payments from my bank as I was doing with the student loan. I was told that wasn't possible and the only way was to use a debit card or ACH with a banking account and routing number. There wouldn't be any problems and we set up a payment schedule where they would automatically withdraw the amount via the ACH information according to the scheduled dates. Fast forward to today. I have been constantly getting calls from the finance department representative, Mary Gonzales. The phone calls are unnecessary and unwarranted. I spoke with Alfred about this and he assured me that I would not be receiving any more phone calls and that the money would be withdrawn as we discussed in the beginning. They did not stop making the phone calls and missed a scheduled withdrawal on March 18, 2022. Now they've missed another payment for May 25, 2022. They've requested documentation from me and also said that I would receive an email with interview information to start the discharge process. I've never received any such email after I sent the requested documentation. I'm really trying to give this company the benefit of the doubt, but right now, I am disappointed and angry at how the process is going thus far. I will amend this review if things straighten up, but this is how it's going so far. read more

I answered their ad on FB to get my student loan discharged. After a lot of back and forth Mike Castro would not send me a contract to review BEFORE I gave him payment terms. VERY SHADY!!! Would anyone buy ANYTHING like that? UPDATE: After speaking with Victor the sales mgr, he apologized for Mike and offered me a discount for my troubles. This is a very sophisticated scam company. Seems they have the technology to look up student loan information and they use this to take money from you. Thankfully, I only placed a deposit. The next day I tried calling and couldn't get a hold of any one for two days. When I finally reached someone, they provided excuses, such as computer or weather issues. This company calls me at least once a week offering to lower my credit card interest rates. As I have explained to them numerous times, I don't have any cards that charge interest and usually pay cash anyway. Every review that I've read says they help with student loans which I don't have. SCAM! They cannot do anything that you cannot do yourself, except they charge you $1000 to do it. They attempted to access my Student Loan Account several times without my permission. If you look at the Federal Student Loan website under scams, what Allied Financial Services does is EXACTLY what they tell you to look out for. They will attempt to prey on students telling them that they can wipe out your loans which is UNTRUE. Any student can go to FASFA.gov and see what they can do about their loans. Don't pay these grifters one cent and DON'T give them your personal information! They will use it against you and take your money! read more

I had filed with them for student debt consolidation. After being dissatisfied with the services I was receiving, I called the next day to cancel, because according to the contract I had a "Right to cancel: You may cancel this agreement without any penalty or obligation within 3 days from the date this agreement is signed." After about an hour on the phone they told me that they would cancel and call me back. I never got called back, so I called them again. They said they would email me the confirmation of my cancelation. I never got an email. I called them back they back and the person I spoke with got upset that I was calling so many times an confusing them. A month later I never received a refund for my initial payment. I called them again and they said that my cancelation had not yet been processed. The person on the phone finished the cancelation and said I would NOT be charged anymore but would not receive a refund for my initial payment for the work that had been done on my case. When I asked to speak with a manager I was hung up on. If you are looking to consolidate your loans or any other of their services (there are plenty), look elsewhere. This company needs to educate their employees about customer service. I was not rude and I was speaking calmly, makes me think they are acting this way because they know what a terrible company they are working for. read more

If it was possible for me to give Allied Financial a half star, I would! I made the big mistake of signing for a car for my daughter and financing it through Ally Auto. Because my daughter has been going through financial hardships I've been making her car payment for almost three years, and I've NEVER been late. For the month of December I explained to my daughter that it was her responsibility to make her car payments not me, but since I'm the primary name on the contract, failure to make her payments on time can be harmful to my credit score. The payment is $394.00 a month, due every 5th of the month. My daughter only paid $300.00 and I told her I'd pay the balance. Due to my busy work schedule I paid the balance on 8 January, but by then Ally Auto had hit my credit score for 59 points for being 30 days late! I've been making payments on time for three years, and they ruin my credit score for being 3 days late with the remaining balance of $94.00! I'm the store manager of a major jewelry retail business and I've NEVER experienced this form of treatment. So I looked into Allied Financial's business practice and discovered that they have been sued for discriminatory practices against Blacks and other minorities! When I contacted them asking that they correct what I considered to be an oversight, they refused. I'm posting on every social media site, every consumer complaining site, every retail review site I can find, asking ALL consumers (especially Blacks and minorities), to NOT do any business with Allied Financial. They have the wrong number, and have been calling me since last week - sometimes twice a day. Something about "difficulty during this crisis." I don't have an account with them. I finally called the number, and was asked to provide my SSN. Nope. I talked to a human being and asked to have my number removed. The woman said that she had to create an account for me in order to do that. NOPE. I hung up and reported them to the FCC. read more

I was told by a student loan company today that they are a scam and likely fraud rule to. They have passed me around to different individuals and I've received horrible service and been ignored by each. Do Not use them they will take your money quickly, but then when you go to cancel they dont know how to actually do it supposedly. Tony F is exactly right, they have a 3 day cancellation right to cancel. They will not cancel you though. read more
