We just moved, and I notcied our wrought iron dining set with 4 chairs and a table were getting rusted and tatty looking. So I contacted Allied APowder Coating about getting them rust treated and painted. They were fabulous to deal with, especially since, we moved and still have contractors working at our house and a million boxes to unpack. Allied gave me a quote which only changed because something needed to be replaced to make the chairs sit properly. the picked up the furniture pieces and brought them back, even positioning properly by our pool and they look fabulous. And I expect them to stay that way for a long time. In mid-September, I asked Allied Powder Coating they could remove rust and recoat my four foot outdoor metal sculpture/fountain. They did a nice job arranging to pick it up, completed work in a few weeks, and delivered it back to our home in a relatively efficient manner. Their work on the fountain was good not great. Evidently, they try to get off as much rust as possible, but there is no attempt to repair any damage caused by the rust, therefore some of the fountain surfaces were not smooth. HOWEVER, after several weeks rust began to appear on my newly coated sculpture fountain. At six weeks, I asked them what to do. Initially, they told me to use a product named Simple Green which did no good. At my next call, they asked for pictures. After I sent pictures that showed considerable spreading rust at 8 weeks after their work was done, they stopped answering all emails. Very unhappy with Allied Powder Coating. read more

I would not recommend this company for retail orders. I am a repeat customer. Most recently, I placed an order with them (refinishing patio furniture) and made a 50% deposit on 4/25 and was told to expect a 4-6 week delivery timeline. After 4wks, I inquired and was told the ETA for the order was 6/21 (8wks). Having not heard from the company on 6/21, I inquired again and was told the color I selected was no longer available; no call, no email to inform me of that, despite the fact that the order was already past the originally advertised delivery date. Having selected a new color that same day, I have called the company three times and still do not have a firm delivery date (or callback, for that matter). read more

Just had 39 pieces of outdoor furniture powder coated. Each piece came out perfectly done, welded where necessary and new foot pieces on. It looks better than it did when new. Allied just delivered six Woodard aluminum patio chairs that they recoated and installed new Sunbrella fabric on. They also replaced the rubber "feet" that came off years ago. They did a fantastic job in all aspects. The furniture is absolutely like new. The job was perfect from start to finish. Very nice people to work with, both sales and office support staff, and the delivery folks were extremely pleasant. I have no problem giving them the highest recommendation. read more

Well they picked up my patio Table and 6 chairs. They said approximate quote was 1000.00 when they received at their factory they called and started nickel and dimeing me to the tune of 1400.00, due to all the welds they had to repair and so on. Well they already had my furniture so I said go ahead. I am aware I could purchase a really nice outdoor set for the 1400.00. This was done in March of 2013. It is August 2013 and the arms are falling off the chairs, and there are already rust spots. I called they said bring them in 125.00 for a weld. Well 4 arms have fallen off so far. I am back to where I started, I'm trashing this table and the poorly coated table and chairs and going to buy all new furniture. Be forewarned the powder coating and their no guarantee has cured me. I have used Allied Powder Coating on two separate occasions to clean and coat antique and new cast aluminum outdoor chairs, tables and love seats. They did a great job both times. The added bonus was that on both jobs they reworked bent and loose pieces on the chairs so that they were more stable and durable than before. They are not cheap but they know what they are doing and you get professional results. read more

I noticed one of their trucks in our subdivision earlier this week and it reminded me that we had them refinish our Winston outdoor aluminum table and chairs over 10 years ago, and they still look great! Their refinishing has lasted longer than the original finish, and the new straps and feet they provided are still in place unlike the originals that failed in fewer than 10 years. I bought my patio chairs and ottoman back in 1977. They're similar to Brown Jordan but were a little less expensive. I had them done by Allied about 20 years ago and they came back like new. Again, this year, I had Allied re-do them and they're beautiful and look like brand new! I got the Hunter Green paint and the Mistletoe strapping and they're gorgeous! Honestly, I was hesitant to take my 40 year old motorcycle project to the folks over at Allied since I didn't see many positive reviews on Yelp or on their website, but everything came out better than expected. I came across recommendations to go with Allied on some online forums (Ducati and Harley guys), so I took their word for it! My 1978 Honda CB550 project is very detail-oriented (and I'm anal) so I made sure to set up a hold-point with Allied after part blasting, so I could inspect the masking work prior to coating. They were very receptive to this idea, were easy to work with, and very communicative throughout. I would definitely use them again since they are quick and very price competitive, and plan on referring my friends to them in the future. If you need to get motorcycle parts powder-coated in the Houston area, don't hesitate to give them a call (and ask for Mia)! Making sure they properly mask the surfaces that are important to you isn't a bad idea either, but that goes for any powder coater! read more

I had a driveway gate powder coated by Allied Powder Coating. I was extremely impressed with the customer service and the guys who removed and re-installed the gate. It was sandblasted which removed all rust and powder coated in black. It looks better than new. Would highly recommend! read more

I had Allied pick up 16 pieces of patio furniture for coating, restrapping and new cushions and 1 month later got it back. Except for 1 little detail, they forgot to make the cushions for 6 chairs. They took back 2 types of chairs and said they would get the cushions made quickly. They forgot to order the fabric for the cushions and 11 days later still have not made the cushions. When I called to ask about the status, they stated that still don't have the fabric and will hopefully get the cushions done in another 10 days or so. For a $5k job, you think they would get it right. They have forgotten about my job twice and I am not sure I will ever see my 2 chairs or the cushions that I ordered for them. The coating looks okay but disappointed in the workmanship. There are may bubbles in the coating and you can see the old coating under the new coating. Not exactly what they promise to do. Probably should have donated them and started over with new. Lesson learned. read more
