If you do not have an HR person, they can come out to help with anything you might need - recruitment, employee handbook, staff training, you name it. If you do have an HR person, they are still a wonderful organization to belong to because they can assist with any of the more tricky issues (legal woes, FLMA, worker's comp, discrimination, etc.), and provide ongoing training and support. My boss used them before he hired me to help him handle many of the HR functions of our organization, and once I came on board they helped us to develop our HR department and continue to provide aid whenever we need it. They have an "HR Hotline" when you have a question about employment law or other odd issues. They offer a yearly HR conference and a yearly Employment Law conference right here in the burbs, and both are fantastic. Also, check out their Training list for seminars held all throughout the year on numerous HR topics. This place is such a great asset for any organization!

They got my placed quickly in a position with a retail insurance brokerage that would have lasted the length of my summer break had I not broken my foot and had to quit 3 weeks in. When it came to temp-to-hire or permenant placement after I graduated I was less successful with Stivers. I had several temp assignments but no actual interviews. After about a month I ended up going to an different agency who had me in interviews (and temp assignments) within a couple days. If you're looking for straight temp work, I would definitely recommend Stivers.

Ended up being an absolute waste of my time and money to get out there, my recommendation would be to go use a different agency like Accurate, or ProLogistix , OnTime staffing, Eclipse staffing. Unfortunately, if you are serious about the job search, I would not waste my time with this company. I arrived for my scheduled interview, 15 mins early, and filled out the same paper work that they request you fill out online. After that, I sat and waited for 30 mins until my recruiter came out for our scheduled interview. I feel that it is completely unprofessional to leave someone waiting for 30 mins when you had a scheduled meeting. The interview itself was only about 15mins long. Very disappointing. It was also discouraging when the other applicants around me were dressed in jeans and t-shirts for interviews. They don't really give you any other information other than that they will call you if they hear of anything, but I should still look online at their job postings. So really, you are doing all the work for yourself, which I could have done at home. My suggestion would be to find a more professional agency if you are serious about getting help in the job search.
