A nice lady actually answered the phone and informed me that she would have someone out between 2 and 4 the same day. Sure enough, the technician showed up right around 2. He didn't have the correct part on his vehicle, but went out of his way to go get the part and return so that we could get some cool air going again. He was polite and quick with the repair. I called up for a free estimate to replace both my central AC units. The person who answered told me he is the owner and asked me if I had looked elsewhere and obtained bids from other contractors to which I replied yes. He asked what those estimates were provided from other companies and I told him. He replied that AC were scarce at this time and the prices I was looking to pay would be double (20K+) . I also asked him to replace only the AC's coil not the furnace, to which he replied that he had to replace the whole unit without even coming to my house and do a quick inspection. I told him that other companies that came out to my house to do an inspection said that the furnaces were fine and that they could replace only the AC coil. So he just told me straight away" "Have a nice day" and hanged up...what? If he is this unprofessional I can only imagine what it would be to hire him! read more

BUYERS BEWARE. I dispatched them out to my restaurant and they spent about one and a half hours. Total bill: $2,000.00. I was curious about what someone else would've charged and it was no more than $500.00. Look out!!! He initially wanted $2,200.00 but gave us a "discount." Is this real life? I relied on yelp for this service and I 100 percent regret it. This is the epitome of thinking "oh they got money!" Came out on a Sunday and within just a couple hours notice. They were very knowledgeable and respectful.

Only merit with Allstars was that they were quick and punctual in responding to same day request for repair. Had called Allstars last Saturday for a AC unit that was running, but not able to effectively cool down the house. Alex, the technician that responded to the call, arrived within 2 hours. After being on site, he spent ~20 minutes for problem troubleshooting. His take was that the unit had faulty coil and that both the coil and condenser needed be replaced for $11,000! He urged the problem would cause imminent and complete breakdown of HVAC if not addressed right away. Since it was a substantial amount, my husband asked Alex to kindly breakdown the cost for us (i.e cost of parts and labor). He replied he would need to go the office to look up exact quote and will touch base with us before the next day. **We never heard back from him** Decided to go with a second opinion from another contractor- ended up the coil just need to be cleaned and Freon topped- for less than $200. the house cooled down the pressure reading from manifold normalized right away from the repair. Allstars was good for immediate technician dispatch, but they missed a diagnosis and I can't but feel my family would have been misled to pay a huge chunk of our hard earned cash if we hadn't gotten a second opinion. read more

8/1/2023 my AC went out it was about 107 degrees. I got on my puter and start looking for a repair person on yelp. I call allstar a person was out about 5 hours later. This repair person was a older man he and his son looked at the unit then told me what I need. He said my condenser fan was out he said we fix it today for $3200, then he said you need a connector plate this was $600 and he said your coils need to be clean I can do this for $560. So I paid him his service charge and sent him on has way because I felt he was just trying to rip me off. I also asked him about doing some work in the attic and he replied that we don't do attic work in the summer. I found the number to someone who I had used several times in the past. I called Synergy AC Co. for a second opinion. I was told it was not the condenser fan at all it was in fact the compressor. I also asked them about the duct work in the attic and was told yes we do go into the attic to work if necessary. It's part of the job. Synergy let me know I had a warranty and all parts were covered for the unit. Syngergy was fair, reasonable, and had very good customer service and I would reccomend them every time. So if I has let them put the condenser fan on and that wasn't the problem it would have cost even more and I would have been out of even more money. We are senior citizens and I can't guarantee that Allstars Electric was trying to take advantage of the dire situation that we were in but it sure seems that way to me. Be very wary of Glenn. He took advantage of my ignorance of AC repair costs and overcharged me $1200+. I called and confronted him about the overcharge 6 times the cost the repair should have been and his response was that he gave me a price and I paid it. No remorse for excessive overcharging. I'm currently working with the Better Business Bureau to try get some resolution and researching other legal avenues. Research Glenn and Allstars better than my wife and I did. We had them out yesterday, very much appreciative of speed they came out and by the end of the day we had a working ac unit that wasn't exactly cooling well...but at least it was doing ok. I was able to make the appointment within the week and they came out on a Saturday to help us. Was called the day before because they had shredded the address. Not a big deal to give it to them again just worth noting. Was quoted $90 on the phone for the service call. When they called before arriving they said it would be $125...I told them I was hired $90 and he said he would honor that. They were kind and considerate and got straight to work. It was a terribly hot day (102*) and we had no ac which made the day even worse. Told us we needed a new unit but could get away with replacing a blower. Had to go to two stores to find the fan and pay $150 for them to open the store on a Saturday. Fine, understood. They got back and replaced the fan, nit picking the entire time back and forth between each-other. I didn't know they were a father and son team but now it makes sense. But, it wasn't what I would call a professional approach to working in someone's home. But, it was hot and terrible and they were up in the attic doing the work out so whatever I think I would be nitpicking as well. So let's get to why I'm giving a low rating. They couldn't get the Ac to cool as they hoped after replacing the blower. They said they were going to go CHECK the Freon. When my fiancé came home he went to go check they were adding it without coming in to discuss the extra cost. They just did it. My fiancé walked in on the son moving one of the tenants CD player from one room to the other. Dude, don't touch other people's stuff- ever ever ever. I don't believe he was taking it I think he was just curious about it and taking a look. But just don't ever pick up anything in anyone's house ever. We were quoted $1500 for the repair $90 for the call $150 for the store to be opened up and the non-itemized bill came to $2100 - $350 worth of freon we weren't consulted about. I'm very appreciative of them coming out and fixing the unit within a few days of my initial call, I'm appreciative of them seeking out a part within a day, I believe they should do a better job communicating before filling up freon and the costs associated with it. All in all we had a broken ac in the morning and a somewhat working ac at night so that's amazing. I just really wish they would have talked the freon over with us. If I were to have them out again I would just make sure to get a firm understanding of communicating extra costs. Very appreciative of them fixing the ac within a day - that's an amazing accomplishment. read more

Rude, unprofessional, mean-spirited - in my opinion. I used this company last month for an emergency air conditioning issue. I appreciated that the tech came out the same day. He checked my unit for 30 minutes or more, told me a possible reason for the issue. I asked him if he had fixed anything, and he replied yes. I cannot recall exactly what he said he did, as I was hosting a party. Naturally my attention was divided. I paid $200 plus for the service. The home did get cooler after he left. Fast forward a few weeks; the problem occurs again. I called the company and request that the tech come check it out. At first I was told by the female receptionist that the company does not not service my city. When I verified that the company's name on my bank statement was in fact this company, was told that I would be charged a $129 service fee. Asked that the fee be waived because someone had just come to my home. At this point a man came on the line and kept asking me in an aggressive manner "what did the tech say to you when he came to your house?" "What did he say was wrong?" I thought it was strange he has asking a layperson this question. I asked him to call the tech. He said I will- calling him now. He gets back on the phone says I know exactly what he told you. It was a service call. I was getting annoyed by this point. I asked how do you know exactly what he told me when you weren't there. He was not there. Only one person came to my home. At this point he says the tech was his son and he knew exactly what he said. Then he proceeded to tell me to Go F*** Off. He used the f word more about two more times. At this point, I knew I was dealing with an incredibly unprofessional establishment. So I said ok and hung up the phone. I think this man thought I was being untruthful about the visit. Regardless of what he thought, his behavior was ABSOLUTELY unacceptable! read more

Allstar came out on a weekend on time and had my house cooled within 1 hour. In addition to repairing my ac, they cleaned my ac units.

These guys were responsive and punctual in responding to a mini-split air conditioner that was leaking. Their take was that the unit was shot and needed to be replaced for almost $10,000. It's a big expense, so I got a second opinion. The second guy looked at it, and within five minutes said all I needed to do was clean out the drain line, which took 15 minutes and cost $95. The unit has been humming happily ever since. Allstars was fine both in person and on the phone, but they missed a diagnosis and that could have cost us big time if I hadn't gotten a second opinion. read more

Only thing more shocking was that the last company dropped the ball on the simplest of steps leading to the issue. So why the five stars if it was so simple....Here's the bottom line....These are honest people. Most clowns would see the easy fix but then charge me $500 for a new Johnson rod and I would just nod like I know something about HVAC and say, "oh yeah! Better replace the Johnson rod...."
