Not sure why Mr. Ackerman is soliciting my business with a photo of my home when I don't live anywhere near him or his office. The only thing that might be more offputting is seeing that others have complained about the exact same thing and he asks for their name and address to take them off whatever list he's using rather than acknowledge it's unwanted and discontinuing the practice. I've been with Allstate for many years. Actually 20 years. Specifically Brian Ackerman group. My mom originally had Allstate so I followed suite. I love Allstate. I think they have good customer service. Monthly payments, if I'm late they will make a courtesy phone call to me. They was very helpful when my mom wrecked my car. they was very helpful when I totaled a car via deer. I would highly recommend them, especially if you require good customer service. Be careful using Brian Ackerman. He will dangle cheap premiums in order to win your business but when you ever need to file a claim you will receive very little customer service. I filed a claim for wind damage on my roof where I have tears in the shingles leading directly into my roof and I haven't been able to schedule an inspection for 8 days. I have been transferred from one claims agent to another to the point where no one is owning and resolving my claim, i'm instead blowing in the wind. I called Brian's office on the 8th day and the lady on the phones was getting snappy with me saying that she personally has only known about the issue for 1 hour. Do not use Allstate and do not file a claim on Allstate.com. Allstate sent me a acknowledgement letter on the first day that read "We are writing you to let you know that we received your claim and started working on it. Losses are always difficult, but please be assured that we will work to resolve your claim QUICKLY and fairly." I would disagree that anyone at Allstate is working quickly to resolve my claim. As for the dates your records show that I contacted your office, please know that I contacted your offices 10 days before the disaster relief inspector came out. (Disaster relief inspectors come out in emergencies where you have a hole in your roof or something). Your office dropped the ball and did not submit my claim to the inspector. And my claim was ultimately accepted and was part of a regional storm where many others were affected with 60+ MPH winds. I personally do not find Allstate very reputable or willing to pay on a claim. When I screamed and yelled and the inspector came out on the 10th day, before he walked up my driveway he said: "Oh, you didn't call me out here on a Saturday for this, did you?" And like that he immediately tried to deny the claim - which was later accepted. Please be an adult and accept responsibility for your office's mistake. read more
